Chapter 1193 Closing the Net

The bustling hallway suddenly fell silent, plunging into a deathly stillness.

Charles's beaming smile, brought on by Hannah's pregnancy, had completely vanished.

He turned to Patricia and Lassie. "Please take care of Hannah! Dad and I are going to wrap this up!"

Patricia knew they had been waiting for this day for a very long time.

"Don't worry, I'll stay with Hannah and make sure nothing happens to her! You and your dad should bring extra people, just in case the other side resorts to extreme measures."

"I understand!" Charles nodded, indicating he got the message.

Carter, with a stern face, said, "I'm coming with you! No matter what, Austin is my son. Maybe I can be of some use."

Charles didn't hesitate and agreed immediately.

On the way to their destination, Charles called Alan, instructing him to gather his team and meet at the designated spot.

Meanwhile, on the rooftop of the Central Business Building, Austin and Tina were fully geared up, wearing sunglasses, hats, and masks, standing under the scorching sun.

Tina kept checking her phone for the time. "Is that person coming or not? We've been waiting for an hour!"

Austin sat on the ground, leaning against the wall, completely unbothered. "She'll come. Just be patient."

Tina paced back and forth, clearly irritated.

Austin said calmly, "She's cautious. If she's coming, she'll make sure the surroundings are safe first."

Tina sat down next to Austin, placing her hand on his.

Austin's fingers twitched slightly, causing a ripple of emotion inside him, though his expression remained unchanged.

Tina, trying to keep her composure, said, "Austin, we barely escaped from Charles last time. Why didn't we just leave the country? Why sneak back?

You know Charles loves Violet. He'll never let her go in this lifetime.

And Violet loves him too.

Three times, no matter who Violet is or where she is, as soon as she meets Charles, she falls for him.

This proves they are destined to be together!

Why are you so stubborn? Why insist on keeping a woman who doesn't love you by your side?

If Charles were an ordinary person, I could help you!

But he's Charles. He's so smart, we can't beat him.

Austin, can you let go? I'll go with you to a place where no one knows us. With our abilities, our future won't be bad!"

This was the first time she had expressed her emotions and thoughts in front of Austin.

Before, she had always supported him unconditionally, never saying a word.

Today, she couldn't hold back anymore.

This was the last chance. If they missed it, there would be no turning back.

Austin seemed trapped in a dead end, gripping Tina's hand tightly, gritting his teeth. "I can't turn back! I love Hannah. Without Hannah, I can't live."

Tina's eyes started to redden, and her nose felt sour.

He said he couldn't live without Violet, and she felt the same way.

But not everyone could be with the one they loved.

Sometimes, silently protecting them was also a form of happiness.

Austin, agitated, said, "Tina, you'll help me, right? You will help me, won't you?"

Tina felt a lump in her throat.

She held back her tears, took a deep breath, and said, "Yeah, I'll help you. No matter what happens, I'm with you."

With her promise, Austin suddenly felt less alone and hugged Tina tightly. "Thank you, Tina. Thank you."

Austin had seen her sacrifices for him time and again. He knew she genuinely cared for him, unlike his mother, Charlotte, who only wanted to use him for revenge, with no motherly affection.

Tina lowered her eyes, feeling a mix of emotions she couldn't describe.

At that moment, an incongruous voice rang out. "I always thought you were head over heels for Violet, that you couldn't live without her! Seems I was wrong. I do have my moments of misjudgment."

The mocking tone instantly caught Austin and Tina's attention.

Austin let go of Tina and looked at the woman who had finally arrived. "You're finally here!"

The woman looked at their disheveled state, shaking her head repeatedly. "You should be grateful that I help you, or you'd be wiped out by now! So many of you, yet you can't beat Charles. All my efforts to help you seem wasted."

Austin stood up, dusting off his pants. "Help us? Don't make yourself sound so noble. We're just using each other, cooperating for mutual benefit! You use me to achieve your goals, and I use you to get Hannah."

The woman wasn't angry at his bluntness; instead, she laughed heartily. "Interesting! I like your straightforwardness, no beating around the bush!"

Austin's eyebrows twitched slightly.

Tina stepped forward, discreetly observing the woman.

The woman was about the same height as her, dressed in a black dress and casual shoes, wearing a hat, mask, and sunglasses, making it impossible to see her face.

Tina tried to recall any information about her. "Was it you who saved me from the cell last time?"

She had always thought it was a man, but it turned out to be a woman.

The woman nodded, openly admitting, "Yes! It was I who saved you!"

Austin asked, "Was it you who rescued Charlotte from my room?"

Since learning that Charlotte was his biological mother, he had called her by her name. He would never call her mom.

The woman admitted again, "Yes! It was me! I told her you were captured by Charles and asked her to find a way to save you!"

Tina asked warily, "Who are you? Why do you know everything about us? Have you been monitoring us?"

The woman laughed again, as if hearing something amusing. "If I didn't monitor you, how could I help you when you needed it most? If I didn't help you, could Austin have escaped? Could you have escaped? Could you be free?"

Tina sneered, "You know everything about us, but we know nothing about you! If we're partners, shouldn't we see your true face?"

The woman shrugged indifferently. "Does it matter if you see me or not? You just need to know that, for now, I'm the only one who can help you."

Tina asked, "How do you plan to help us? Do you know Charlotte was captured by Charles?"

The woman laughed heartily. "Of course I know, otherwise, why would I call you here?"
