Chapter 35 Ex-Husband Discovers Two More Children

Martin rubbed his head, "I'm done with the blood draw, now it's your turn! A man keeps his promises!"
Charles reluctantly rolled up his sleeves as if he was going to face his death.

Afraid that he might be scared, Martin pressed his head against his chest, covering his eyes, gently patting his back with his thick palm, "Don't be afraid, Daddy will be with you all the way."

His deep voice, seemingly penetrating Charles’s heart, inexplicably brought comfort to him.

Despite being afraid of pain more than anything, when the needle pierced his skin, it didn't hurt at all. His heart and eyes were filled with the father who held him in his arms.

After the series of tests were completed, the results were...

Everything seemed fine and the doctor's explanation was that Charles had Charles had an upset stomach. He advised applying a hot compress and drinking plenty of hot water.

After returning home, Martin personally took care of Charles, applying the hot compress himself and feeding him water.

"How are you feeling? Any improvement?" Martin asked.

His concern made Charles' nose tingle, and his eyes became moist.

"Daddy, are you good to me because you genuinely care, or is it because I'm your son, and you feel obligated to be good to me?"

As soon as the words escaped, Charles realized he had asked a foolish question.

His father wasn't exactly overflowing with love and care, and if he wasn't his son, why would he treat him so well?

Sure enough, Martin laughed softly at his question and said, "Because you are my son, I genuinely care about you!"

Charles felt a warm feeling in his heart. At this moment, the fatherly love he had longed for since childhood was realized.

Unable to resist, he climbed onto Martin's lap and tightly wrapped his arms around his neck, planting a firm kiss on his cheek.

Martin froze, looking at him incredulously, his pupils shaking.

"Daddy, I love you!"

Although he loved him, he couldn't forgive him for the pain he had caused his mother.

Martin couldn't help but touch the spot where he had just been kissed, still feeling the warmth.
Did Randy really kiss him?

His throat choked up, unable to express his joy, and he hugged Charles tightly. "Daddy loves you too! You are Daddy's everything."

Charles held onto his waist tightly with his small hands, truly feeling fatherly love for the first time.

Knowing Randy's picky eating habits and fearing that someone might have tampered with his food by adding honey, Martin personally took charge of the kitchen.

He made Randy's favorite seafood soup, vegetable salad, and roasted lamb chops.

It was the first time Charles had eaten such delicious food, and he finished it all in one go, his tummy bulging.

"Daddy, you're amazing! The food you made is so delicious." He said contentedly.

Martin's eyes turned red with excitement. He had been learning to cook for Randy for so long but had never received any praise.

Today was the first time he had heard words of approval, and he felt that his efforts had been worthwhile.

"As long as you enjoy it! Daddy will make it for you more often in the future."

Charles vigorously nodded, his smile extending to his ears. "Great!"

After finishing their meal, Martin hesitated for a moment but couldn't resist asking,

"Randy, do you know where your mommy went after she left you with Jade? Did you see any other man picking her up?"

Charles immediately became wary. "Why are you asking these questions?"

Martin's eyes darted around, betraying his guilt. "I'm just curious and wanted to ask."

Charles mischievously rolled his eyes and deliberately said, "Yes, I saw a very handsome uncle picking up mommy! They seemed really close."

At those words, Martin's handsome features turned dark and as if they could drip water even in the bright light.

He had guessed right. Patricia had indeed left Randy with Jade and gone on a date with another man.

Seeing his father's expression, Charles struggled to hold back a laugh. "Daddy, how does it feel” he thought to himself.

"What's wrong? Why do you look so upset?" Charles asked Martin.

Martin shook his head with a somber expression, instantly erasing all the good mood he had.

Taking advantage of the time when he went to the restroom, Charles secretly messaged Patricia.

"Mommy, I am trapped in the Ellenstein Villa District. When you come back with Randy tonight, send me a message in advance. I'll find an excuse to slip away, then you can take Randy home, and I'll go back by myself."

Patricia's response came quickly. "I'll bring Jade and Fannie with me. I don't trust you to go alone."

After thinking it over, Charles felt that there shouldn't be any problem and agreed. When he came out of the restroom, Charles found Martin in the office attending a video conference.

Thinking about their impending separation, he reluctantly climbed into Martin's embrace. Martin allowed him to do as he pleased, afraid that he might fall, and even put his hand on Charles' waist.

Suddenly, in the middle of the conference, the computer suddenly turned off. Martin tried a few times but couldn't restart it, so he angrily called Alan:

"Tell Luke to come over immediately." Charles grinned and said, "Daddy, no need to find someone else, I can do it."

Martin looked at him suspiciously, clearly not believing that he had the ability.

Charles didn't waste any more words and quickly began operating with his small hands. In no time, the computer lit up.

"Daddy, your computer had a virus, let me clean it for you!" he said, placing one hand on the keyboard and holding the mouse in the other, quickly clicking and pressing on the computer.

Martin watched in a daze, realizing that his son was operating programs he had never seen before.

Within a few minutes, Charles was done with the operation, clapping his hands confidently and saying,

"OK! It's fixed! I've cleaned all the viruses from your computer! Daddy, from now on, don't click on anything that pops up, it's likely carrying a virus! And don't randomly click on some porn websites, if you want, I can download a few movies for you."

"....??" Martin suddenly felt that the son in his arms was unfamiliar.

He kissed him suddenly and praised his skills, now he could even fix computers. Is this still his son?

"Randy, when did you learn how to fix computers?"

Charles casually replied, "It's simple, do I need to learn?"

Other kids definitely wouldn't know these things. Martin was about to continue questioning, but Charles interrupted him, saying,

"Daddy, you continue with your meeting, they are still waiting!"

Martin glanced at him suspiciously and resumed the video conference. After the meeting, it was already evening.

Suddenly, there was a commotion downstairs. "Martin, Martin, come down quickly, I need to talk to you, it's urgent, Martin..." someone called, the voices familiar to Martin.

Carter was in a frenzy: "Ryan, things haven't been sorted out yet... Don't rush to tell Martin yet. Let's figure out the situation first, so we don't make a mistake."

Ryan patted his chest and vowed, "I swear (to God), I didn't make a mistake. Otherwise, may I never find a wife in my life."

"......?" Carter's temples throbbed.

Hearing the commotion, Martin carried Charles downstairs.

Ryan hurriedly ran over and examined Charles from head to toe, left and right. "Martin, after you took Randy away at noon, was he always with you?"

"Well, yeah. What's wrong?" Martin asked.

Ryan widened his eyes, appearing astonished. "Then it's incredible! When Carter and I were on the roller coaster, we saw Patricia still holding another Randy."

As soon as the words fell, Charles's breath hitched, nearly forgetting to breathe.

Oh no, he actually saw Mommy and Randy. Even Fannie was discovered.
