Chapter 1046 Jumping into the Sea

Charles asked again, "Which dock are you at now?"

Martin replied, "Dock 7 in First Mountain City. Ryan is at Dock 6."

Charles said, "Then I won't come to you. Randy and I will go to Docks 4 and 5 respectively. Since they last appeared in First Mountain City, they should escape from a nearby dock."

Although it was uncertain whether that person would take Hannah and leave from Docks 4 or 5, it was unnecessary for them to stay in one place.

Splitting up would definitely be better, and the chances of finding them would be higher.

"Alright! Be careful, and if you find any trace of them, let us know immediately so we can support you."

"Got it!" After ending the call, Charles instructed the driver to take him and Randy to Docks 4 and 5 respectively.

The driver first dropped Randy off at Dock 5.

Before Randy got out of the car, Charles patted his shoulder and reminded him, "Be careful, prioritize your safety. If anything happens, hide and don't charge in recklessly."

Randy replied, "I know! You too! Stay alive, there's always a chance to meet again. If there's danger, know when to hide, don't risk your life!"

Charles laughed. "I understand that!"

But whether he could actually do it was another matter. He would sacrifice himself as long as he could rescue Hannah.

After dropping Randy off to meet with the ambush team at Dock 5, the driver took Charles to Dock 4.

For some reason, he had a strong feeling that they would escape from this dock.

Following the instructions, Charles quickly found the police officers hiding in the dark.

There were five officers in total, one captain and four officers. The police captain pulled Charles down to crouch behind a rock.

Charles whispered, "What's the situation?"

The police captain replied, "We haven't spotted Hannah yet! It's daytime now, and people usually smuggle at night. Don't worry, be patient. It will be dark soon."

Charles stopped talking and kept his eyes on the dock, not daring to blink, afraid that they would slip away in the blink of an eye.

It got darker and darker. An hour later, it was completely dark. Many people started arriving at the dock, all of them smugglers.

Under normal circumstances, the police would have rushed out to arrest them, but at this moment, they had more important things to do and could only watch them board the boat and leave.

Charles carefully searched the first group of smugglers but did not find Hannah.

About an hour later, the second group of smugglers arrived.

Charles' brow twitched. He hadn't expected that such a small country would have so many smugglers. It was completely different from what he had imagined.

The second group of smugglers also left.

Two hours later, it was early morning.

Seeing that no one else was coming, the police captain said, "It looks like they didn't escape from this dock. Maybe they're at another dock."

Just as he finished speaking, they saw Hannah and a woman wearing a hat and mask among the third group of smugglers, carrying luggage and heading towards the dock.

After more than four months, seeing Hannah felt like a lifetime ago for Charles.

Just as he was about to instruct the police captain to rush out, two patrol officers appeared out of nowhere, and the flashlight beam swept over the smugglers, scaring them into fleeing.

Charles held his breath in tension, grabbing the police captain's arm and saying, "There, the woman in the blue T-shirt and black jeans is the one we're looking for."

The police captain cursed, "Damn it, who is it? Didn't they know we were on a mission tonight? Why are they causing trouble now?"

Unfortunately, the person they were looking for was mixed in with this group of smugglers.

"Everyone, go! Catch the woman in the blue T-shirt and black jeans." With a wave of the police captain's hand, the four officers immediately ran out from behind the rock, and the patrol officers who had shone the flashlight also ran over upon hearing the commotion.

The smugglers, seeing the police, scattered in all directions.

The scene instantly turned chaotic.

Tina immediately realized something was wrong and pulled Hannah towards the dock.

Austin had clearly arranged everything. But now there were patrol officers and police catching smugglers, something had obviously gone wrong.

She had to get Hannah out of there quickly. Otherwise, the past four months of effort would be wasted.

Hannah, not understanding the situation, was pulled along by Tina, panting and asking, "Tina, what's happening? Are the bad guys coming to catch us?"

Tina replied, "Yes, the bad guys are coming to catch us! We need to run quickly."

Hannah believed her and ran even faster, almost outpacing her.

Charles' entire focus was on Hannah, not paying attention to the other fleeing smugglers. He saw Hannah running with Tina willingly, without any signs of being forced, and was extremely puzzled.

Normally, with the police present, shouldn't Hannah take the opportunity to escape? Why was she cooperating and running with that woman? What was going on with her?

Although Charles was full of questions, he didn't dare to call out Hannah's name, fearing that the woman might harm Hannah in anger.

There were too many smugglers, all crowding onto the boat. Tina and Hannah, being women, couldn't run as fast or push as hard as the men.

Just as they were about to board the boat, they were pushed off.

Once on the boat, people urged the captain to set sail.

"Hurry up... hurry up... the police are coming... if they catch us all, it'll be trouble! I need to go out and make big money!"

"Yes, hurry up, hurry up... the police are almost here... set sail quickly!"

Under the urging of the crowd, the boat indeed started moving.

Tina, Hannah, and a few other smugglers who had been pushed off the boat had no time to get back on.

Hannah anxiously said, "Tina, the boat is leaving, what do we do?"

Tina turned to look. The police were already very close.

The boat was getting farther away. They had no time to escape. There was no place to hide here; they could only surrender.

Some of the smugglers who hadn't boarded the boat and could swim jumped into the water, trying to swim to the boat.

Tina frowned and asked Hannah, "Can you swim?"

Hannah was taken aback by the question. "I don't know!"

Tina immediately remembered that she had erased all of Hannah's memories, so how could she remember if she could swim?

There was no time to ask Austin now.

Tina looked at the smugglers who had jumped into the water and were swimming towards the boat, one of them had already boarded.

The police were very close. Tina gritted her teeth, thought for a moment, and then said, "Hold on to me tightly and don't let go!"

With that, she grabbed Hannah's hand and jumped into the sea.
