Chapter 753 Victory

Riley's breath hitched, and for the first time, a murderous glint flashed in his usually gentle eyes.

"Let her go, and I'll let you leave!" Riley demanded.

Miles didn't buy it for a second.

Just then, the elevator doors slid open, revealing a crowd of people heading to work and school. Miles barked, "Clear everyone out!"

Riley's lips tightened, and his voice cut through the tension, "I told you, release Ariel, and I swear I'll let you go. But if you harm her, I will hunt you down and kill you."

Miles sneered, "Trust you? You rich folks are all lying, backstabbing bastards!"

Riley's fists clenched at his sides, his anger barely contained.

Miles pressed on, "You knew I was the Koch family spy all along, didn't you? You set up that whole plan to capture Hunter and expose me."

Riley took a deep breath, "Fine! Just let Ariel go, and I'll do whatever you want."

He signaled for the people in the elevator to disperse.

Seeing Riley comply, Miles felt a twisted satisfaction. Miles said, "Didn't think you'd ever bow down like this!"

Miles laughed, yanking Ariel's hair as he edged toward the elevator. Ariel stood her ground, refusing to move.

"Move, or I'll poke out your eyes," Miles threatened.

Ariel winced from the pain but didn't budge. Ariel said, "If it weren't for my accidental pregnancy and you secretly swapping my meds with abortion pills, I wouldn't have found out. We treated you like family. My brother gave you a top position, and my grandpa never said a harsh word to you. But you burned all of Elise's house to let Debbie simulate Patricia! I respected you, followed your lead in everything between us. But you repay us by colluding with Hunter to take down the Koch family instead of thanking us? I won't let you threaten Riley! This mess is my fault, and I'll fix it. Trading my eyes for your life is worth it!"

Before Miles could react, Ariel bit down hard on his hand.

It was a hand threatening her, but not a knife.

She didn't believe that a hand can do anything to her, losing her eyes at most.

She would abandon her eyes rather than let Miles run away.

Miles screamed, grabbing her shoulder and slapping her hard on her face. A red handprint instantly appeared on her cheek.

"You dare bite me?" he roared, blinded by rage. He aimed a kick at her stomach, but Riley rushed in, shielding Ariel.

The others swarmed in, pinning Miles to the ground and restraining him.

Miles, like a crazed animal, kept roaring and struggling, "Ariel, I regret not killing you earlier. Riley, let me go now! You have no right to do this, or I'll sue you. The Koch family is finished. You can't keep acting high and mighty. You'll never beat me."

Riley ignored him, focusing on Ariel's swollen face. Riley said, "Your face is really swollen. Let's get you to the hospital."

Ariel shook her head, "It's fine, some ice will help."

Then she remembered why she came here, "Riley, he admitted everything! Miles bought Virtual Sparkle Group years ago. They've been selling similar copies of our jewelry for years! And he colluded with our design director, Isadora, to steal our designs. He confessed to it all!"

Miles showed no fear, "That's your words, not mine."

Ariel gritted her teeth, "You're still denying it?"

Miles smirked, "You say I did it, but where's your proof? Without evidence, I'll sue you for defamation."

Ariel smiled and pulled out her phone, "You think I came unprepared? I've been recording everything since I walked in. Miles, it's time to pay for what you've done to the Koch family."

Miles' smug look vanished, replaced by shock, "You entrap me."

Ariel raised eyebrows, "Yes, I did. For someone as vile as you, I had to use ignoble tactics."

She paused, "Miles, get ready for the legal sanction."

Miles' eyes turned blood-red, "Ariel, you dared to entrap me. I'll kill you."

He tried to lunge at Ariel, but the bodyguards held him down. One of them, annoyed by his struggles, slapped him hard.

Half of Miles' face swelled up, and his mouth started bleeding.

The bodyguard warned, "Try to move again, and I'll beat you up."

Miles couldn't accept that his carefully laid plans had been exposed. He didn't hear the bodyguard's warning and kept struggling, making a last-ditch effort.

Miles said, "No, I won't fail. I can't fail."

Miles had planned for so long. From the moment he knew Ariel was the Koch family's only granddaughter, he planned how to approach her, how to win her heart, and how to marry her.

Despite her high status, Ariel wasn't arrogant. Many men were too intimidated to pursue her, giving Miles the perfect opportunity. His gentle persistence finally won her heart.

After college, they got married, just as he had planned. Then Hunter approached him, offering to help him take over the Koch family. They became partners, and Miles even burned everything related to Elise to help Debbie return to the Koch family.

Miles had schemed for so long, and victory was within his reach. He hadn't expected to lose to Ariel at the last moment, ruining all his plans.

Miles couldn't accept it.

He couldn't accept such a failure.
