Chapter 776: Charles Takes Action

Harper never thought a kid could be that strong.

He had on leather shoes.

That kick hit her so hard it felt like her organs shifted, leaving her gasping in pain.

Charles stood by the cradle, glaring at Harper, who was clutching her stomach on the floor. "I told you, don't touch her!" he said coldly.

After the last kidnapping attempt, Charles had started learning self-defense.

He wasn't a pro yet, but he could handle someone like Harper.

Just then, Lassie broke free from Lily, rushed in, and hugged her daughter in the cradle, scared Harper might take her.

"Get out now, or I'll call security!" Lassie yelled, shaking with anger and fear.

Thank goodness Charles was here.

If he hadn't been, Violet would be in Lily and Harper's hands.

Lily rushed in, saw Harper in pain, and hurried to help her up.

"Harper, what's wrong? Are you okay?"

Harper pointed at Charles, her face red with pain or anger.

"He hit me, Mom. My wrist and stomach hurt so bad I can't stand."

Hearing that, Lily's eyes filled with rage.

She charged at Charles, but he kicked her away.

Even though Charles was just a few years old, he was taller than most kids his age and almost as tall as Harper and Lily.

And he was strong.

He didn't hold back.

Both Harper and Lily were on the ground, unable to get up.

But Lily was tougher than Harper.

She got up, ready to fight Charles again.

Charles usually didn't like fighting women.

But they'd crossed the line.

He grabbed a chair and threw it at Lily.

She screamed in pain, rolling on the ground.

Charles looked at her without emotion, then picked up another chair and threw it again.

Lily was so scared her eyes nearly popped out. She raised her hands to block the chair.

This time, Charles aimed for her head.

If it hit, it could crack her skull.

But Charles didn't hesitate, his face fierce, like he wanted to tear Lily apart.

Lassie was so scared she stopped breathing and shouted, "Charles, don't."

But Charles didn't hear her, and the chair smashed down on Lily's head.

Blood poured from the wound.

Lily screamed in agony, clutching her head.

"Mom," Harper cried, scrambling over.

Lassie was stunned, staring at the scene.

Charles remained indifferent, dropping the chair and dusting off his hands. "I told you not to touch her! If you try again, I'll cut off your hands," he said coldly.

Harper held the bleeding Lily, staring at Charles in shock. She couldn't believe a kid could look so menacing.

Charles seemed possessed, radiating a chilling aura.

But he acted like nothing happened, casually walking over to the cradle.

Violet had woken up, probably from all the noise. She was staring at the ceiling, giggling, and playing with her gold necklace.

Charles's expression softened when he saw her.

He gently pinched her cheeks.

The room fell silent, except for Lily's groans and everyone's breathing.

Harper looked at Lassie, crying, "Lassie, you made this kid hit my mom. I'm telling Logan, and he'll deal with you."

Just then, the door opened.

Carter walked in with Martin, Patricia, and Ryan. They all froze at the scene.

Patricia was the first to speak, "What happened here?"

The room looked like a war zone.

Lily was seriously hurt.

Charles calmly picked up Violet, holding her like a treasure, and said, "I did it!"

Patricia's eyes widened, "You did it?"

Charles replied, "Yes, I did!"

He added, "Mom, get security to throw them out! I've never seen such shameless people, using a child to force a divorce and thinking they can replace the lady of the house. Who gave them that right?"

Everyone got the message.

Carter's face darkened, "Colton, throw them out!"

Harper, with tears in her eyes, said, "Carter, this little bastard hurt my mother. Why aren't you defending us?"

Before she could finish, Patricia slapped her.

"You rude person! Has no one taught you manners? Let me tell you, Lassie and Carter won't divorce, and even if they did, Carter would never look at you. Being the Bennett family's daughter doesn't make you special. Insult my son again, and I'll break your mouth. And if you target my daughter-in-law Violet again, I won't be kind to you either."

Patricia's slap left Harper's face swollen.

Feeling wronged, Harper looked at Carter, hoping he'd defend her.

But Carter didn't even glance at her, "Patricia is right. I won't divorce Lassie, and even if I did, I'd never marry you! Stop dreaming! Don't come to Rose Garden Manor again unless necessary."

Harper's face fell.

Meanwhile, blood kept pouring from Lily's wound.
