Chapter 805: Is Hannah Really Violet

Charles raised an eyebrow but stayed silent, just staring at her.

Stella felt uneasy under his gaze, goosebumps rising.

"Yeah, she's the classmate I want to intern at your company. Her name's Hannah White. We're in the same journalism class and even share a dorm."

Charles asked, "Has she always been called Hannah White?"

Stella nodded eagerly, "Yes! Always Hannah White."

Charles continued, "How old is she, and her parents..."

Stella, finding his questions tedious, sat next to him and spilled all the info about Hannah.

"Charles, she's Hannah White, nineteen, same age as me! Actually, she's a month younger. She moved here a few years ago. I've met her parents; they're super nice."

Charles frowned and asked, "Have you seen her childhood photos?"

Stella nodded, "Yeah, but her family was poor, so there aren't many."

Charles pulled out his phone to search for info on Hannah.

When he saw Hannah earlier, he almost rushed over but held back.

Over the years, he'd found many who looked like Violet, some up to ninety percent similar.

So, when he saw Hannah, he wasn't sure if he was mistaken. He waited until after the speech to ask Stella.

Stella knew what he was doing and said, "Don't bother searching, you won't find anything! Hannah's only nineteen but thinks like she's ninety! She uses an old phone and has no online accounts. You won't find her info."

Charles's search results came up.

There were many Hannah Whites, but none matched Stella's classmate.

Apart from the resemblance, nothing else fit.

Could it not be Violet? Another mistake?

Seeing him stare at his phone, Stella added, "Charles, when I first saw her, I thought she was Violet too! But after knowing her, I realized she's not. They just look alike."

Charles's eyes narrowed, and he asked, "Does she have a scar on her shoulder?"

Violet had a scar from a childhood fall that needed stitches, leaving a white mark.

Stella was stumped.

"I haven't noticed! She's very modest, even in summer she wears short sleeves! I haven't paid special attention."

Charles said, "Check tonight and text me, no matter the result."

He'd hoped many times only to be let down. The more disappointments, the more cautious he became.

Stella made an "OK" gesture.

"Don't worry, I'll handle it tonight," Stella said.

"I'll be waiting for your news," Charles replied.

With that settled, Charles stood up, straightened his clothes, and headed for the door.

Stella followed him out.

"Charles, whether she's Violet or not, you can still go after her! Even if you can't marry Violet, marrying someone who looks like her isn't a bad idea. Plus, Hannah's got a great personality. The more time you spend with her, the more you'll like her."

Before she could finish, Charles had already opened the door.

Hannah was outside, chatting with Wyatt. Nearby, a few school leaders stood around.

Worried Hannah might get the wrong idea, Stella quickly changed her tone and smiled, "Hannah, what brings you here? Looking for Charles?"

Hannah blushed, "I forgot to ask a few questions earlier and wanted to catch up! But Wyatt said Mr. Watson is heading back to the company and doesn't have time. I'm trying to convince him!"

"What's there to convince? Come in and ask away!"

Before Charles could react, Stella pulled Hannah into the lounge and shut the door.

Stella found a good spot and smiled, "You two sit down! Ask whatever you want! I'll keep you company."

Hannah and Charles stood facing each other.

Charles stared at Hannah's face without blinking.

On closer look, she didn't seem that similar.

Violet had a charming, sweet smile.

Hannah had a different vibe—gentler, with an intellectual beauty.

Hannah felt uneasy under his gaze, goosebumps rising.

"Mr. Watson, hello! Sorry to take more of your time! I have a few more questions, if that's okay?" Hannah said.

Charles sat down.

Hannah awkwardly smiled, sat opposite him, took out a recorder and notebook, and got ready. "Mr. Watson, I've seen controversies about you online! They say your success is because of your father! Without his financial support, you'd be just an ordinary person. What do you think about that?"

Charles smirked with disdain.

"I have no opinion! Tell them to reach my level before questioning my abilities."

His tone was arrogant and overbearing, full of disdain.

But Hannah found it charming.

"So, you don't agree with them, right?"

Charles grinned, "Right! Educated people wouldn't ask such stupid questions. My achievements are due to my abilities. Our company's hit game, Virtual States, was designed by me at ten and is still popular. I don't care about their opinions. I can't make everyone approve of me! They're just ridiculous, like clowns."

Hannah was stunned, openly admiring him.

For the rest of the questions, Charles answered thoughtfully, though still arrogantly. It wasn't off-putting.

Throughout the interview, Charles's gaze never left Hannah's face, searching for similarities with Violet.

But after a long look, he found none.

Apart from their looks, they had nothing in common.

After the interview, Charles left.

On his way back to the company, he pulled out his laptop and searched for more info on Hannah.
