Chapter 915 Officially Together

Hannah felt super guilty about Austin, but she didn't regret what she did and actually felt pretty lucky.

Good thing she had a change of heart at the last minute.

If she hadn't, she'd be legally hitched to Austin right now.

She and Charles would've totally missed out on each other.

Hannah clung to Charles, feeling more grateful than ever that fate brought him back to her.

Charles buried his face in her neck, soaking in her scent, feeling totally content.

They held each other tight, like they wanted to become one person.

After a while, Charles reluctantly let go, cupped her face, and gave her a kiss on the nose.

Charles said, "We gotta explain this whole thing to your parents, no matter what."

Hannah glanced at his legs that wouldn't move, "But if you show up like this, they definitely won't be cool with it."

Even though Charles was awake, her parents were super grateful to Austin, and that wasn't gonna change easily.

Plus, Charles couldn't walk like a regular person.

She was scared her parents would say some really hurtful stuff to him.

Charles shook his head, not bothered, "If they don't agree, we'll just keep trying until they do. I believe we can win them over if we try hard enough."

Hannah was still a bit unsure, "They say really mean things when they're mad. I don't want them to hurt you!"

She was always thinking about him. Charles felt really touched, both happy and satisfied.

Charles reassured her, "I don't care. I've heard all kinds of nasty stuff to get where I am today! As a man, I can't let you face your parents' anger alone! We gotta share the load! We'll face everything together."

Hannah looked at him, her eyes getting teary again.

Slowly, she smiled and nodded firmly, "Okay! We'll face it together."

Charles checked his watch, "It's already six. Your parents probably know by now that you changed your mind. We need to go back and explain."

Hannah nodded, stood up, and put his arm over her shoulder, ready to help him out.

But Charles just sat there, smiling at her.

Hannah was confused, "What's up?"

Charles said, "I'm too heavy. I can't let you carry me! Hold on, I'll get Stella and Randy over here, they have crutches."

Hannah looked around, surprised, "They're here too?"

Oh my God! They must've seen her and Charles hugging and kissing just now.

Thinking about it, Hannah's face turned bright red.

Charles said, "They should be waiting outside the park!"

He found Randy's number and called him.

Hearing this, Hannah sighed in relief, took a deep breath, and fanned her face.

Not long after Charles finished the call, Stella and Randy came running over with crutches.

Stella looked at them with a knowing smile, "So, you guys made it official? I don't have to worry about you two anymore, right?"

Hannah's face turned red again. She felt her body heat up.

Seeing her embarrassment, Randy pulled Stella behind him and asked, "Where are we heading now? It's pretty late, and I don't think you can handle the trip back. How about we crash here for the night and head back tomorrow?"

Charles said, "I'll head back with Hannah first."

Randy chimed in, "Alright, Stella and I will tag along."

Charles was about to refuse, but Randy cut him off, "In your condition, there's no way I'm letting you go alone. You need someone to watch your back."

Charles thought it over and realized Randy was right.

More hands, more help.

No need to rely on Hannah's parents.

With that settled, Randy and Stella went outside to hail a cab, and they all piled in to head to Hannah's place.

Hannah's house wasn't far from the park, but with Charles having trouble walking, they didn't think twice about grabbing a cab.

Meanwhile, over at the White Family's place, Quentin was fuming, his face red as he sat on the couch in silence.

Lisa was pacing back and forth, muttering curses under her breath.

Lisa ranted, "I told you she's ungrateful! We've been so good to her, Austin's been so good to her, but she just can't see it. Her heart's only for that guy. Even when he was in a coma, she was still all about him. How did I raise such a fool? You should've gone with them earlier, I knew she'd cause trouble! Now she's gone. Who knows where she ran off to! Will she come back? If she doesn't, will Austin still help our family? We finally got Austin's help, we can't let Hannah mess it up."

Quentin, fed up with her noise, snapped, "Shut up!"

Lisa shot back, "You only yell at me. Why don't you yell at that ungrateful girl! She's not even our real daughter. Why are you so good to her?"

Quentin's face darkened, and he glanced at the study, warning in a low voice, "Don't let Oliver hear that."

Lisa pouted but lowered her voice, still muttering, "Let him hear. She's totally pissed off Austin. Why are we still keeping her around?"

Quentin felt torn.

From the moment he first saw Hannah, he transferred all his love for his biological daughter to her.

He truly loved Hannah and wanted her to be happy.

Austin loved her so much, he would definitely treat her well. He really thought it was a lucky break for her to marry Austin.

But Hannah had become more rebellious as she grew up.

Just as he was stewing, the study door suddenly opened, and Oliver, who was in middle school, ran out excitedly, "Dad, Mom, Hannah's back! Look, she's downstairs!"

Quentin and Lisa exchanged a glance and walked to the window to look down.

They saw Hannah standing next to a black cab, with two other people on the other side of the car.

She was bending over to help Charles out.

And Stella immediately handed over a single crutch.

They lived on the third floor, so they couldn't see their faces clearly from a distance. They could only tell their genders.

"Who are these people?" they wondered.

Taking a cab, they didn't even have a car.

Hannah was becoming more and more worthless, hanging out with such poor folks.
