Chapter 1153 Naked Confrontation

An overwhelming sense of satisfaction wrapped around them like a warm blanket.

A tingling sensation spread from his lower body to his heart, and the blood rushed to his brain. Charles let out a muffled groan, tightening his embrace as if he wanted to devour Hannah completely.

Hannah wrapped her arms around his neck and waist, closing her eyes in pleasure and letting out a soft moan.

It had been too long since they had made love, and Charles nearly lost control.

Thankfully, he remembered that Hannah was still recovering from her injuries and had just woken up. He moved slowly and carefully, restraining himself.

The intense sensations immersed them both.

The ward was filled with their suppressed, pleasurable moans.

So lost in each other, they didn't hear the door to the ward open.

The doctor was about to come in to check on Hannah. Seeing the moving blanket and hearing the intimate sounds, he blushed and turned to leave. But worried he might have misunderstood, he glanced back to confirm. His face turned even redder, and he hesitated.

The doctor wanted to remind them, but it didn't seem appropriate.

However, Hannah had just woken up and shouldn't be doing this.

But speaking up now also felt wrong.

After a moment of indecision, he chose to leave quietly.

He decided to gently remind them during the next check-up.

It was just too awkward.

Charles missed Hannah so much, that he wanted to become one with her.

But he knew Hannah's body couldn't handle too much strain right now.

So he only made love to her once, then held her in his arms as they both fell into a deep sleep.

Charles hadn't slept in days, and with Hannah in his arms, he slept soundly.

Hannah was also exhausted and slept deeply in Charles's embrace.

They slept for a long time.

It wasn't until nightfall, when the world was cloaked in darkness, that Hannah woke up hungry.

Charles was still asleep.

His even breaths brushed against Hannah's forehead.

Hannah felt warm inside. She looked up at Charles's chiseled features and couldn't help but trace them with her fingers.

He had thick eyebrows, long eyelashes, a high nose bridge, perfectly shaped lips, and a strong jawline.

Every feature of his face, whether seen separately or together, was incredibly handsome, like a top movie star.

And in terms of both looks and abilities, he was exceptional.

In all her years, she had never met a man more impressive or better looking than him.

And this man belonged to her.

Thinking of this, Hannah couldn't help but giggle to herself.

Just as she was feeling pleased, a light cough sounded in her ear.

She froze, realizing the sound came from behind her. She turned sharply and saw Lassie and Carter sitting on the sofa. Her face turned as red as a tomato.

Even her neck and body felt like they were burning up. "Mom, Dad! When did you get here?"

Realizing she was lying naked in Charles's arms, Hannah wished she could disappear.

If she had known she would sleep so deeply, she would have put on clothes before falling asleep.

Lassie covered her mouth, smiling. "We've been here for a while. We saw you two sleeping soundly and didn't want to wake you. After your accident, Charles hasn't slept much. He really needed the rest."

Carter's eyes also twinkled with amusement. "You must be starving! Your mom and I asked Evangeline Caldwell to whip up some porridge for you. Get up and have some."

Evangeline was the Moore family's chef, and she'd been with them for decades. When Violet was a kid, she adored Evangeline's cooking. Now that Lassie had reunited with her daughter, she wanted her to enjoy Evangeline's cooking again.

However, the doctor said Hannah's digestive system hadn't fully recovered yet, so she needed to eat light for the next few days to avoid stomach issues. So, Evangeline made porridge to nourish her.

Of course, while Hannah couldn't eat rich foods, Charles could. They had brought other food for Charles.

Hannah covered half her face with the blanket, leaving only her big, watery eyes visible, looking at them shyly. "Uh, could you, um, step out for a moment? I need to get dressed."

Lassie and Carter exchanged a knowing look.

Lassie said, "Alright, we'll step out. Let us know when you're dressed. We'll be right outside."

"Okay!" Hannah nodded.

Lassie and Carter left with smiles on their faces.

Hannah was mortified. She couldn't help but push Charles hard. "Wake up! You said you'd protect me, but my parents have been here for so long, and you didn't even wake up! With your level of alertness, I could have been kidnapped without you noticing."

Charles, who had kept his eyes closed, slowly opened them. Seeing Hannah's flushed face, he kissed her forehead firmly. "Don't worry. If it had been kidnappers, I would have woken up immediately."

With that, he calmly got out of bed, picked up his clothes from the floor, and put them on.

Hannah caught the implication in his words and couldn't help but ask, "What do you mean? Were you already awake?"

Charles just smiled without answering.

Seeing his expression, Hannah knew she was right. She sat up, forgetting she wasn't dressed.

"Hey, if you were awake, why didn't you wake me? And why did you pretend to be asleep just now? You left me to face them alone! I was so embarrassed."

Charles, now fully dressed, saw her cute, angry face and couldn't resist pulling her close and kissing her hard on the lips. "Now you feel shy? You weren't shy when you were clinging to me earlier."

Images of their intimate moments flashed in Hannah's mind, making her blush even more, as if steam was rising from her head.

"You, you, you..." She stammered, unable to find a retort, her cheeks puffing up in frustration.

In fact, he was right. She had been the one clinging to him earlier. She had initiated their first time and today. What could she say to that?

But still. Even if it was true, he didn't have to say it so bluntly! Didn't she deserve some dignity?

Sensing her anger, Charles stopped teasing her. He sat on the bed, pulling her into his arms, and said gently, "I did wake up when they came in, but seeing it was them, I fell back asleep. You know, since your accident, I haven't slept much. I was really tired."

This was true. The moment the door opened, he had woken up. But seeing it was Carter and Lassie, he relaxed and fell back asleep. With Carter and Lassie there, he knew Hannah would be safe, so he slept deeply.

Hearing this, Hannah's anger turned to concern. Seeing Charles's tired face, how could she stay mad at him?
