Chapter 1026 Completely Lost Direction

After observing Austin for another month and confirming he had no issues, Charles withdrew the people monitoring him.

Instead of wasting energy on him, it was better to focus everyone on finding Hannah.

Violet acted as if nothing had happened, visiting Sunshine Manor every day and persistently pursuing Charles, determined not to give up until she won him over.

Even Patricia, who had doted on her since childhood, had started to get annoyed with her.

Once again, Charles knocked over the soup Violet had brought.

As it spilled, Violet tried to save it, but her hand got scalded red by the hot liquid.

"I told you, I don't like you, and I never will! My heart belongs to Hannah. Besides her, I will never like anyone else. Stop wasting your time on me," Charles said.

Tears of grievance welled up in Violet's eyes.

"Charles, why are you so cruel to me? Have you forgotten? You were so good to me when we were kids, you really liked me! I still love you as I did before, but you've changed."

Charles looked at her expressionlessly.

"Yes, I did like you, Violet! But I liked the Violet from seven years ago, the one who grew up with me. Not the ruthless, selfish Violet standing in front of me now. My Violet died at the hands of kidnappers seven years ago! The Violet now has nothing to do with me."

Violet broke down and screamed, "No, I am Violet, Violet is me! You've just changed your heart, and all of this is just an excuse for your change of heart."

Violet pounded on Charles in agitation.

"How can you treat me like this? How can you? I love you so much, I forgot everything, remembered nothing but you! But you treat me like this, Charles, I hate you, I hate you so much!"

Charles grabbed her wrists firmly.

"Violet, don't ever appear in front of me again! Otherwise, I might not be able to resist strangling you. Last time you hurt Hannah, I let you go for the sake of your parents. I won't do that again! You better behave and not do anything stupid. Otherwise, not even Carter can save you."

With that, he threw her to the ground.

Violet fell hard, hitting the floor with a thud.

Her palms scraped against the floor, causing her to gasp in pain.

Charles said mercilessly, "Get out, don't let me see you again!"

Violet endured the pain, stood up from the ground, and walked out in despair.

Charles watched her leave until her figure completely disappeared from sight. Only then did he breathe a sigh of relief and tiredly pinch the bridge of his nose.

He had deliberately humiliated Violet like that.

It had been two months, and there was still no news of Hannah. Violet hadn't contacted that person again, so he decided to take a risk and try to provoke Violet, making her hate Hannah.

If Violet could be driven by jealousy to trouble Hannah, he could find Hannah through Violet.

Although this method was risky, he had no other options now.

There were no records of Hannah entering or leaving the airport, train, or bus stations.

This meant she was still in Sunset Bay.

In the two months since Hannah disappeared, they had searched Sunset Bay thoroughly several times, not missing a single spot, but they still couldn't find her.

The software he designed would notify him immediately if Hannah took a photo with her phone.

Nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

They couldn't find her.

Hannah hadn't used any communication devices during this time either.

Charles began to panic.

He was so desperate that he started grasping at straws.

Shortly after Violet left, Charles's computer finally picked up a signal.

His eyes lit up instantly.

Soon, Violet's voice came from the computer. "Where is Hannah? Where is she now?"

"What's gotten into you?"

It was the same voice altered by a voice changer from last time.

"I want to kill her! Why does she get to have Charles's love? It's been two months, and Charles has ignored my advances. His heart is only for Hannah. What do I lack compared to Hannah? Why is he so cruel to me?"

"You don't measure up to her in any way! Kill her?" The person chuckled coldly. "Violet, are you out of your mind? Didn't I warn you not to harm her? If you touch her again, you'll regret it for the rest of your life."

Violet immediately backed down.

"I, I just want to know where she is?"

Then she could hire a hitman to secretly kill Hannah.

As long as Hannah was alive, she was a threat to her.

Only if Hannah died could she be at peace.

"Where she is doesn't concern you! Just focus on your own tasks! Stop plotting against her. Your job is to make Charles fall in love with you again."

With that, the person hung up the phone.

Despair filled Charles's eyes.

From the phone call, he realized that even Violet didn't know where Hannah was.

Hannah had been taken by that man, to a place no one knew.

And during their call, Charles quickly traced the other party's IP address.

It was still in Country D.

This meant that the person was in Country D.

Maybe Hannah was also in Country D at this moment.

Wyatt and Maximilian had been searching in Country D for two months without any clues.

What should he do now?

Charles rubbed his face hard, overwhelmed by boundless despair and fear.

He couldn't find Hannah.

Where on earth was Hannah?

Why didn't he stay with Hannah the whole time on the day of the engagement?

Why did he let her go to the restroom alone?

Why did he let her be alone?

If Hannah hadn't been alone, Violet wouldn't have had the chance.

Regret, remorse, and self-blame tightly surrounded Charles.

In the evening, Martin returned home exhausted.

Patricia immediately ran over and asked, "How is it? Did you find her?"

Martin shook his head. "We've searched Sunset Bay thoroughly, but there's no sign of her. This country is too vast to comb through every inch. There will always be places we miss."

Patricia's face turned pale.

"So, there's no hope?"

Martin sank into the couch, remaining silent.

Patricia stumbled and fell onto the couch, staring ahead in a daze, "How could this happen? Seven years ago, Violet disappeared without a trace, and we couldn't find her. Charles finally moved on and found Hannah. Now it's happening all over again. How can Charles bear this?"

As she spoke, tears began to fall.

Fannie asked in confusion, "How can someone just vanish like that? It's not like she was kidnapped. At least with a kidnapping, you might get a ransom note. But this time she disappeared for no reason."

Patricia said, her heart aching, "It's all Violet's fault! She was such a sweet little girl back then. How did she turn out like this?

Fannie asked, puzzled, "What does this have to do with Violet?"

Before Patricia could answer, they suddenly heard a loud noise from upstairs.

Martin, Patricia, and Fannie, who were sitting on the couch, stood up almost simultaneously and hurriedly ran upstairs.
