Chapter 746 We Fight Together

When Daisy found out Patricia was heading back to Country Y, she was totally against it. But no matter how much she objected, Patricia wouldn't change her mind.

Kaleb respected Patricia's decision.

Even though he was really worried, he knew that Patricia and Martin had a bond no one could break.

With a worried look, Patricia told Shane, "Grandpa, we'll be back soon. While I'm gone, can you help Dad take care of the kids?"

Shane looked at her closely and suddenly asked, "Is something wrong with the Koch Group?"

Patricia was shocked, staring at him in disbelief, "You know?"

Shane sighed deeply, "I saw it on TV just now."

Patricia knew her grandpa would find out eventually, but she didn't think it would be this soon.

Shane, looking resigned, said, "Go ahead! I'll watch the kids at home!"

As the president of the Koch Group, Shane should've gone back to handle things.

But if he did, all the respect and image Riley had built in the company would be ruined.

People would think Riley was incompetent and unable for the job.

Shane didn't want that.

Most importantly, he believed in Riley's abilities.

Riley would definitely sort things out.

Maria and Declan, playing with toys on the floor, seemed to sense that Patricia was leaving. They stumbled over, each grabbing one of her legs.

Maria, drool hanging from her mouth, waved her chubby arms at Patricia.

Maria said, "Mommy, hold me."

Seeing adorable Maria, Patricia teared up. She bent down and picked her up.

Maria immediately wrapped her arms around Patricia's neck and gave her a wet kiss, leaving her cheeks covered in drool.

Maria said, "Mommy, don't go. Mommy, don't go."

Patricia pressed her forehead against Maria's and smiled, "I'm going to get your daddy. I'll be back soon! Be good, Maria, and wait for me."

Hearing that Patricia was bringing Martin back, Maria beamed, "Daddy, I want daddy."

Reluctantly, Patricia kissed her cheek and handed her to Daisy. She bent down to pick up Declan, pinching his chubby cheeks.

Patricia said, "You be good too. I'll be back soon!"

For the first time, a hint of reluctance appeared on Declan's usually stoic face. He said nothing, just gave Patricia a gentle kiss on the cheek.

Though he wasn't big on talking, his actions spoke volumes.

After finally calming Maria and Declan, Patricia noticed Hunter curled up alone on the sofa, hugging his knees and silently crying.

Patricia walked over and gently asked, "What's wrong, Hunter? Who upset you?"

Hunter looked at her with a sorrowful expression and said pitifully, "Patricia doesn't want me any more! Patricia doesn't want me anymore."

Patricia smiled, "I will never abandon you! I'll take you to the hospital for a few days, and when I return, I'll bring you back."

Hunter, however, didn't believe her, and tears kept streaming down his face.

Hunter said, "Gabriel didn't want me, and now Patricia doesn't want me either. None of you want me."

Though Gabriel had passed away, in Hunter's mind, he felt abandoned by Gabriel.

Patricia's heart ached, knowing this was a sign of his extreme insecurity.

But with her gone, Hunter could potentially have a breakdown at any moment.

When he lost control, he was a total handful.

She worried that leaving him at home might put the kids in danger.

The only option was to send him to a psychiatric hospital first and bring him back once she returned, finding a professional doctor to treat him.

Patricia said, "I won't abandon you, Hunter. Be good. I'm taking you to see a doctor now. We'll come back once you're better."

Hunter curled up, trembling with fear.

Though Patricia's heart ached, for the safety of Charles, Randy, Declan, Maria, and Fannie, she had to send him to the psychiatric hospital.

Hunter clung tightly to her hand, refusing to let go.

Hunter said, "Patricia, don't leave me. Don't leave me."

Patricia gently patted the back of his hand, soothing him softly, "Be good and wait for me here. I will definitely come back to get you."

The doctors and nurses came over and forcibly separated their hands.

Hunter cried bitterly.

Patricia gave him one last, reluctant look, biting her lip hard, and turned to leave.

As Patricia's figure grew more distant, the fear of abandonment overwhelmed Hunter.

He went mad, trying to run towards Patricia, but was restrained by the doctors and nurses.

"Patricia, Patricia." He screamed Patricia's name in despair.

But no one responded.

He completely lost control, struggling and resisting desperately, trying to break free from the doctors and nurses to chase after Patricia.

Seeing his condition worsen, the doctor administered a sedative, finally calming him down.

After arranging everything at home, Patricia and Ariel boarded the private plane back to Country Y.

Just as they settled in, someone sat down beside Patricia.

Both Patricia and Ariel were taken aback and looked at the newcomer.

Jeremy was fastening his seatbelt. Feeling their gazes, he didn't even lift his head and said, "So much has happened to the Koch family. As a member of the Koch family, I can't pretend not to see it!"

Patricia pointed at him, "You know too?"

Jeremy looked up, his face darkening, "Sebastian called me last night and told me about the family matters! I came to the airport early this morning to catch a flight back to Country Y, but the morning tickets were sold out. I had to buy a ticket for the 3 p.m. flight. I saw you before it was time to board!"

At this, his expression dimmed, and he said apologetically, "Patricia, I'm sorry! I apologize on behalf of my mother!"

Jeremy hadn't expected that Brooke nearly strangled his beloved sister Patricia.

No one knew how furious he was when he heard the news.

He couldn't understand why Brooke would want to kill Patricia, who was so obedient and sweet.

Patricia shook her head, dismissing it, "It's okay! We're all family!"

Jeremy said, "Sebastian told me my mom wasn't like this before! She must have been provoked! I'll definitely get to the bottom of it when we get back."

Patricia also knew that Brooke had been provoked.

Although Brooke hadn't paid much attention to her before, she had never done anything to her.

But a few days ago, she had lost control and tried to kill her.

There must be some secret behind this.

Patricia said, "I'm really fine! Knowing that Sebastian and you sincerely care for me is enough!"

Jeremy, relieved, ruffled her hair, "Thank you, Patricia!"

Patricia smiled back, "Let's rest well. We have challenges to face once we get to Country Y!"

Jeremy sighed, leaning back in his seat, too worried to sleep.

With such a major issue in the Koch family and Brooke's actions, he wondered if the Koch family could resolve this trouble.
