Chapter 718 Extremely Infuriating

Susan naturally didn't believe Joe's words. She curled her lips into a sneer and didn't say anything further.

Patricia, not wanting any more misunderstandings between the two families, quickly explained, "Mr. Hill, you've misunderstood. It was his accomplice who captured Martin's brother, and he refused to reveal the location, so Martin hit him out of anger."

Joe furrowed his brows tightly, "When did this happen?"

Patricia replied, "It should have happened yesterday! It's Ryan, you've met him before! After Billy's incident last time, he helped a lot."

Joe naturally believed them.

After all, they had been together for so long, and he knew something of Patricia and Martin. Besides, Hunter himself didn't have the capability to do so many things.

Joe looked down at Hunter and asked in a deep voice, "Where is Ryan being held?"

Hunter pressed his lips together and remained silent.

Joe was no long patient, and his tone took on a weight, "Where exactly is Ryan being held?"

Hunter glanced at him, then slowly closed his eyes, just like saying, "I won't tell, do what you will."

Joe was so angry with him that he almost passed out.

No one could do anything about Hunter. They had tried beating him and scolding him.

Hunter just wouldn't tell.

Everyone was infuriated by Hunter.

They didn't know the situation of Ryan. Was he injuried or still alive?

Thinking about Billy's death caused by Hunter and his fellows, Martin was terrified and desperately wanted to find Ryan.

Martin gritted his teeth and said, "Mr. Hill, until Ryan is found, I can't let you take him away!"

If Hunter left, they would have no way to deal with him.

Joe understood Martin's words and nodded, "I understand! Finding Mr. Parker is the priority! If we really can't find him, then..."

At this point, Joe couldn't continue.

If Ryan really died because of Hunter, no matter how much Joe couldn't bear it, he would definitely not let Hunter go and would hand him over to Martin for punishment.

Hunter was too inhumane. Keeping him around would only result in more deaths in the future. Innocent people shouldn't have to die because of Hunter.

Martin's forehead veins bulged as he glared at Hunter with hatred, "I know you have a way to contact your fellows! I'll give you one day. You'd better get in touch with him and have him release Ryan, or I will bleed you dry, one cut at a time."

After saying this, he took Patricia out of the wine cellar without looking back.

"If you want to live, stop killing people! Mr. Parker is innocent; don't harm him!" Joe looked at the stubborn Hunter, shook his head in disappointment, and also turned to leave.

Susan was somewhat surprised that Joe wasn't be pushy to protect Hunter. When they received the news that Martin was going to kill Hunter and rushed over, Susan thought Joe would protect his illegitimate son no matter what.

The result was unexpected for Susan.

The news that Ryan had been captured by Hunter's fellows quickly spread.

Patricia knew Daisy had been waiting for her news, so she immediately called Daisy after returning to her room and told her the situation truthfully.

Upon learning that Ryan's life was in danger, Daisy couldn't hold back her tears any longer and cried.

Patricia was slightly stunned. She didn't know Daisy and Ryan were so close. Daisy seemed very concerned about Ryan. What was going on? Could it be that during the time Patricia was away, something happened that she didn't know about?

Realizing this, Patricia tentatively asked, "Daisy, you and Ryan, you two...?"

Daisy seemed not to hear Patricia's question. She touched her still-flat belly and said to herself, "He texted me saying that when he comes back this time, we'll get married."

Married?

Patricia almost choked on her own saliva. Daisy and Ryan got so close already? And Patricia had no idea.

Although Patricia really wanted to ask when she and Ryan started their relation, and what else she didn't know, she held back.

It wasn't the time to ask these questions at this moment. She could only comfort her, "Daisy, don't worry. We'll definitely find a way to find Ryan! Martin has faced danger several times and always came out safe! Look at him now, he's fine."

Daisy cried harder, her voice hitching.

She seemed to be trying hard to hold back her tears but she couldn't.

"He hasn't seen our child born yet. He can't die. He just can't. The child can't be without a father."

Patricia was so shocked that she almost dropped her phone. This wasn't just about marriage; they even had a child on the way. When did Daisy and Ryan start? This was too fast!

Daisy sobbed, "Patricia, you know! I used to like Frank, but he liked you!"

Patricia was puzzled.

She didn't know!

When did this happen?

Daisy liked Frank?

And now she was going to marry Ryan?

And she was pregnant?

Oh, my!

Was this still her bestie Daisy?

Daisy and Patricia shared everything. If it weren't for Ryan today, would Patricia know these secrets until Daisy and Ryan's wedding?

What the hell!

She felt quite suffocated.

Daisy continued, "I finally stopped liking Frank and found someone who truly cares for me, Ryan! I really can't lose him. If I lose him, I won't be able to go on."

Patricia couldn't hold back any longer, "Daisy, what else are you keeping from me? Just tell me everything today. My heart can't take one surprise after another."

Daisy knew Patricia was trying to cheer her up and distract her.

But thinking about the lost Ryan, Daisy just couldn't be happy.

"Patricia, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hide it from you! You've had so much going on lately, and I couldn't find the right time to tell you! I was planning to tell you as soon as you got back to Sunset Bay!"

But she hadn't expected to tell Patricia under this circumstance.

Daisy felt quite guilty.

Patricia didn't mind, "It's okay! I know you didn't mean to cheat me! Don't be sad. Crying too much isn't good for the baby! Just wait for our news over there. We'll find a way to find Ryan, no matter what."

Even if it was just his body.

Patricia didn't dare say this last word, fearing Daisy wouldn't handle it.

"Okay! You must tell me in time!"

Patricia nodded firmly, "Okay! Take care of yourself. You're not alone now! Think about the baby in your belly."

"I will!"

After chatting for a while longer, they hung up. Patricia thought Daisy had listened, but as soon as the call ended, Daisy bought a plane ticket to the U.S.
