Chapter 1011 Engagement Party Turmoil
Charles arranged a deluxe suite at the Sunset Grand Hotel for Quentin and Lisa.
Since he was busy during this period, he just had Hannah accompany them around while he and Martin prepared for the engagement party.
Time flew by, and soon the day of the engagement arrived.
Hannah sat in front of the dressing mirror, looking at herself with a slight daze.
She had been very calm these past few days.
It wasn't until now that she felt nervous.
Hannah thought, 'I'm about to get engaged to Charles. This engagement is completely different from the last one. This time, I'm getting engaged to a man I genuinely like. Will I be very happy with Charles in the future?'
As she was lost in thought, Stella suddenly appeared from somewhere, hugged her from behind, and rested her chin on Hannah's shoulder, exclaiming, "Hannah, you look so beautiful today!"
Hannah smiled.
Maybe it was because of her different state of mind!
She indeed looked very beautiful today, with a hint of charm in her eyes.
Stella said enviously, "We're about the same age, and you're getting engaged now, while I don't even know where my other half is! I really want to have a sweet romance too!"
Hannah teased, "You have so many brothers. Let them introduce someone to you! They're so outstanding, so their friends must be excellent too."
Stella pouted, "Forget it. I know almost all their friends, and there's not one I like! I'd rather find someone myself!"
Hannah turned around, tightly holding Stella's hand, and said sincerely, "Stella, thank you."
The light-hearted atmosphere suddenly became heavy because of her words.
Stella's eyes turned red, and her voice choked a bit, "Why are you thanking me all of a sudden?"
Hannah hugged Stella and said gratefully, "Thank you for introducing me to Charles. If it weren't for you, I would have missed him in this lifetime."
Charles was truly the best man she had ever met.
She didn't regret falling in love with him.
Stella patted her back. "I had my own selfish reasons too! I wanted to find him a girlfriend! But now, seeing you both so happy, I'm satisfied."
Hannah laughed. "And about that time Violet gave me trouble! I never had the chance to thank you alone. If you hadn't shown up in time that day, I might have already committed suicide."
Hannah thought, 'If Stella hasn't come in time that day and that I have really been stripped, thrown out and disfigured, even if Charles didn't mind, I wouldn't have been able to bear it and would have chosen to end my life. It was Stella who saved me and kept me alive.'
Stella was moved to tears by Hannah's emotional words and sniffed hard, "Enough! It's a happy day. Why are you saying these things? We're best friends. Other people wouldn't play with me because of my status, and even if they did, it was just superficial and they would never be close to me. But you're the only friend who has truly treated me sincerely. Friends should be loyal to each other."
Hannah chuckled. "Yes, friends should be loyal to each other!"
In the future, if she had the chance, she would do her best to protect Stella too.
Stella let go of Hannah, wanting to wipe her tears but afraid of ruining her delicate makeup, so she handed her a tissue to carefully wipe away the tears from her eyes.
"Alright, it's time. We should go out now!" As soon as she finished speaking, there was a knock on the dressing room door. "Come in!"
As Hannah's words fell, the door was pushed open from the outside.
Charles walked in, wearing a custom-made, well-tailored black double-breasted suit, paired with a white shirt and a red polka-dot tie. His tall and slender figure, sharp facial features, and exquisite looks exuded a cold and noble aura, with a strong and composed presence.
He walked in slowly, his steps confident and composed, the dazzling lights shining on him, adding to his distinguished appearance.
He was already very handsome and was more attractive than all the popular male celebrities.
But at this moment, he looked even better than usual.
His sharp features, high nose bridge, and deep eyes made him look like a handsome and radiant sun god.
Hannah's heart pounded wildly.
Thinking that such an outstanding Charles would belong to her alone in the future, she couldn't contain her excitement.
Charles asked, "Are you ready? I'm here to take you out."
Hannah nodded and slowly stood up.
The sky-blue dress made her look even more beautiful. Her tall and graceful figure was perfectly accentuated, and the emerald necklace on her neck was dazzling, making her look elegant and exquisite.
The specially tailored fur only covered her shoulders, revealing her beautiful collarbones.
Although Hannah's features weren't those of a stunning beauty, her figure was excellent, curvaceous and attractive.
Today, under the skillful hands of a top international stylist, her facial features were highlighted, and her bright eyes seemed to glow, making her so beautiful that it was hard to look away.
Even Stella, known for her beauty, paled in comparison.
Charles's eyes showed a hint of amazement. "You look so beautiful today."
Hannah blushed deeply.
Stella teased him on purpose, "What do you mean by that? Is Hannah not beautiful on other days?"
Charles knew she was deliberately causing trouble but remained calm and composed. "She's beautiful every day, but even more so today."
"Good answer! I'll let you off today!" Stella laughed and placed Hannah's hand in Charles's. "From now on, our Hannah is in your hands! You must treat her well. If I find out you've wronged her, I won't let you off."
Charles promised confidently, "That day will never come."
Stella laughed. "I believe you! It's getting late. Let's go out together!"
Hannah looked at Charles, and they exchanged a smile, their eyes filled with countless emotions.
The engagement party was bustling with excitement.
The guests had arrived early.
They were all influential figures from Sunset Bay.
Many of the Langley Group's foreign partners had found ways to attend.
The usually low-key Langley family had invited many reporters this time, determined to make the engagement party lively and grand.
When Charles and Hannah appeared at the entrance hand in hand, all eyes were drawn to them.
The reporters' flashlights shone on them.
Charles and Hannah stood together, a perfect match of a handsome man and a beautiful woman.
All the spotlights were on them.
They were instantly surrounded, with many people congratulating them.
Little did they know, a pair of cold eyes were watching them from not far away, the meticulously manicured nails almost digging into the person's palm.
