Chapter 804: Is She Violet?

Charles paused mid-speech when he saw Hannah.

She wore a simple white dress, her delicate features highlighted by light pink lips and sparkling eyes, like stars.

Her face wasn't as pretty as Stella's, but it matched the one he remembered.

This was exactly how he imagined Violet would look grown up.

Stella noticed his stare and smirked, as if to say, "See, I told you Hannah looks like Violet!"

Charles stared at Hannah, his mind racing. His hands clenched the podium, veins bulging. He forced himself to stay calm and continue his speech, but his eyes never left her.

Hannah felt uneasy under his gaze, frowning slightly. She wondered if they had met before.

"Stella, you said your cousin isn't from Germany. When did he come here?" Hannah asked quietly, not wanting to distract Charles.

Stella replied softly, "Yeah, he's not from Germany. He started studying abroad at fourteen, been to five countries. He founded his company while studying here, so the headquarters is in Germany. After finishing his studies, he stayed. Not sure if he'll move it, but for now, it's here."

Hannah asked, "When did he start the company?"

Stella's expression turned curious. "Hannah, do you like my cousin? I'm telling you, he's way better than your fiancé! You should break off your engagement and marry him. He'd definitely like you."

Hannah blushed. "Stop teasing me!"

After that, she couldn't ask more questions. She felt Charles's gaze was familiar but was sure she didn't know him. Maybe she was overthinking.

Sensing her discomfort, Charles finally looked away after finishing his speech. The hall erupted in applause.

When it was time for questions, students from the journalism department were ready. Charles's intense presence made the head of the journalism club nervous as he handed the microphone to Stella.

Stella took the mic and said, "Mr. Watson, hello, I'm Stella Reed from the journalism department."

Charles glanced at Hannah, then focused on Stella. "Hello, Stella."

Stella almost laughed. "Mr. Watson, can I ask some personal questions?"

Charles raised an eyebrow. "Depends on the questions."

Stella asked, "Do you have a girlfriend?"

The principal's face changed. This wasn't in the script, and Charles's assistant had warned against personal questions.

Charles's gaze darkened. Stella, unaware, made a funny face at him.

Charles was speechless. The principal started to sweat.

He immediately signaled the head of the journalism club.

The head quickly took the microphone from Stella and handed it to Hannah, who was sitting next to her. He had noticed Charles staring at Hannah and assumed he approved of her.

"Just ask normal questions! You can do it!" he encouraged.

Hannah had prepared for this moment, so when she got the mic, she was ready. "Mr. Watson, hello! I'm Hannah White from the journalism department. It's a pleasure to interview you today!"

Her voice filled the hall, and Charles listened intently. It wasn't like Violet's sweet and lazy tone; Hannah's voice was serene and musical, making him feel relaxed yet excited. His fists clenched tighter.

"Hello! Nice to meet you!" he responded.

Stella was puzzled. Charles had a blank expression for her but seemed happy to meet Hannah. Was it just because Hannah looked like Violet?

Unaware of the difference in his attitude, Hannah continued, "Mr. Watson, I heard you founded IntelliMerge Technologies at sixteen. What prompted you to start it?"

"At sixteen, everyone else is in high school, but you were already founding a company. That's impressive."

"There was no particular prompt," Charles replied. "I just felt it was time to have a proper job and provide a stable home for my future family."

Hannah was surprised. "At sixteen, you were already thinking that far ahead?"

"Not really," he said. "I just did it because I could. I had nothing else to do."

"Why a mobile game company? What was your initial concept?" she asked.

"Money," Charles said confidently. "Whatever industry makes money, that's where you go. The internet and mobile games are lucrative, so I went into that field."

"You made IntelliMerge the world's top mobile game company in just ten years. What's your secret to success?" Hannah asked.

"No secret, just skill," he replied, his tone confident but not off-putting.

After a few more questions, it was time for the student Q&A session. Everything went smoothly, and Charles's three-hour allocation for the school quickly passed.

After the graduation ceremony, Charles canceled his next appointment and had Wyatt find Stella backstage.

"Charles, what are you doing? I still have other interviews!" Stella protested.

Charles sat in the lounge, legs crossed, looking at Stella blankly. "Hannah is the classmate you want to intern at my company?"

Stella's eyes lit up. "Charles, have you fallen for Hannah? I told you she looks a lot like Violet. You'd definitely like her!"

Under Charles's cold gaze, Stella's voice grew smaller. "I'm telling the truth! Clearly, you like her but won't admit it."
