Chapter 980 Violet Causes Trouble for Hannah

After getting back to his room, Charles grabbed his phone and called Wyatt. "Hey, where you at?"

The company was on break, and Wyatt was on vacation too, so Charles's first question was if Wyatt had some free time.

Wyatt knew if Charles was calling, it had to be important. Charles wasn't the type to call just to chat.

"I'm at home right now. What's up, Mr. Watson?" Wyatt answered.

"Can you come over? I need you for something," Charles asked.

"I'll be there in a flash!" Wyatt agreed without a second thought.

Just as he was about to hang up, Charles remembered something and quickly added, "Actually, never mind. Let's wait until the holiday's over and you're back at work."

The paternity test was just a hunch. Maybe it would turn out like the last one, and there was no need to mess up Wyatt's break for something that might be a dead end.

Wyatt was pretty much on call 24/7. It was rare for him to get a break.

"Mr. Watson, if it's urgent, I can come now! I'm just chilling at home anyway," Wyatt offered.

Charles laughed. "It's not urgent. We can handle it after the holiday."

Hearing that, Wyatt paused and then replied, "Alright, I'm on standby. If you need me urgently, just call anytime."

Charles chuckled. "Happy holidays."

Wyatt was a bit surprised by Charles's sudden politeness and felt a bit flattered. "You too," he replied.

After ending the call, Charles looked at the two strands of hair in the sealed bag, deep in thought.

'Could it be? Could Hannah be Violet? Could she be Shirley's sister?' he wondered.

He laughed at himself, thinking he might be going crazy. Subconsciously, he hoped Hannah was Violet, so he kept trying to verify it. Even though he knew Hannah wasn't, he still wouldn't give up.

There were so many people in the world who looked alike and had similar tastes. Maybe it was just a coincidence. Maybe it was just to keep that little bit of hope alive in his heart. Maybe the final result would disappoint him again.

But no matter what, he wanted to give it a shot, even if it was all in his head.

As if he already knew the answer, he wasn't in a rush and put the sample in the desk drawer. 'Everything can wait until after the holiday. Let Wyatt have a good rest for a few days,' he thought.

The next day.

Hannah went to work early. Not wanting to disturb her, Charles took Shirley out to have some fun instead.

A new animated movie had just come out and had good reviews. He planned to take Shirley to see the movie first, then hit the amusement park, and see what else she wanted to do.

Hannah was at the ordering machine, taking orders from customers. Suddenly, there was a commotion at the door.

Violet, holding a bucket of water, rushed to Hannah's workstation and dumped it over her in front of everyone.

A bucket of cold water drenched Hannah. Her hair and clothes were soaked, and steam was rising from her head.

Hannah was stunned, completely frozen. Gasps of shock echoed around her.

A few innocent bystanders got splashed too, but they were in better shape compared to Hannah.

Everyone thought a madwoman had come in and immediately backed away, not wanting to get involved. Even those who got splashed didn't dare to make a sound.

After pouring the water, Violet took advantage of Hannah's shock and smashed the bucket hard at her.

Hannah was totally caught off guard and couldn't dodge. The red plastic bucket smacked her right on the forehead.

The bucket shattered instantly, and the sharp edge left a nasty gash on Hannah's forehead, blood pouring out like a faucet.

Time seemed to stand still.

Everyone was in shock.

Even the air felt eerily still.

No one saw this coming.

It wasn't until a terrified scream broke the silence that everyone snapped back to reality. Some folks ran, others hid, all trying to get as far away from Violet as possible.

Hannah clutched her bleeding wound, slowly raised her head, and glared at Violet, her eyes icy cold, like she wanted to kill her with just a look.

Hannah gritted her teeth and asked, "What the hell are you doing?"

Only God knew how much self-control it took for her not to fight Violet right there at work.

Violet knew this and jumped onto the ordering counter, grabbing Hannah's hair and yanking it like a maniac.

"You bitch. You seduced my boyfriend. Look at this homewrecker, everyone! She seduced my boyfriend and even spent the night at his place," Violet screamed.

Hannah felt like her scalp was being ripped off, the pain was unbearable.

She didn't dare move, knowing it would only make it worse.

Hannah said coldly, "Violet, I'm not fighting you out of respect for Charles. Let go of me, or I won't be so nice."

Her good upbringing told her not to argue with a lunatic.

Violet was completely unhinged.

Hearing Charles' name from Hannah's mouth made Violet even angrier. She let go of Hannah's hair and slapped her hard.

The slap echoed loudly.

Hannah's head snapped to the side, her ear ringing, and her cheek stinging.

She could taste blood in her mouth.

Violet glared at Hannah with a twisted face, her eyes almost bulging out.

"Don't you dare mention Charles' name. What right do you have? He's my boyfriend. You shameless homewrecker. You just want to steal him," Violet shouted.

Hannah's face turned red with anger. "Violet, I'm not fighting you because you're a patient. If you keep this up, don't blame me for getting rough."

Violet was having a nervous breakdown and was ruthless.

She even sold Shirley, so who knew what other crazy things she might do.

If she lost control and killed Hannah, she wouldn't even be sentenced.

Hannah valued her life and didn't dare to really fight a madwoman.

Unfortunately, Violet didn't listen to a word. Hannah's words were just a blatant provocation to her.

She grabbed things from the ordering counter and started throwing them at Hannah.

She threw whatever she could get her hands on.

"You shameless homewrecker. Get out of here. I'll beat you to death," Violet yelled. She didn't forget to turn around and keep slandering Hannah. "Look at her, she looks a lot like me. To mess around with my boyfriend, she had plastic surgery to look like me and got a job as his secretary. She's a shameless homewrecker, seducing my boyfriend for money. This place isn't decent either, hiring a homewrecker. Don't let your husbands or boyfriends come here, or she'll mess around with them too."

She wouldn't stop until she made Hannah leave Charles.

After hearing this, everyone noticed the resemblance and thought, 'If they dress the same, they could be mistaken for the same person at first glance. Could Violet be telling the truth? Is Hannah really a shameless homewrecker? Did she really have plastic surgery to look like this to mess around with Violet's boyfriend? If that's true, it's despicable. Are homewreckers so blatant nowadays? This is outrageous.'
