Chapter 875 Finally Met

Charles took Randy for a full-body checkup and found out that apart from being a bit sleep-deprived, he was all good. Charles let out a big sigh of relief.

On the way back, Charles asked, "So, how many days off you got this time?"

Randy replied, "I was supposed to be prepping for the wedding! With the honeymoon and all, I planned to be off till next year!"

But now that the bride had bailed, all those plans were toast.

Charles said, "Since you're all good, how about we all go on a family trip to chill out?"

Randy was caught off guard.

Charles grinned, "It's rare for me to have time off too. Our family of seven hasn't gone on a trip together in over a decade! It's either you don't have time, or I don't. This time, we all happen to be free. Even Elijah is here."

Randy stared blankly at the road ahead.

Thinking of Andrea, his chest ached again.

He felt like something was blocking his heart.

Charles continued, "Stop overthinking! Since she left, it means you two weren't meant to be together. Let's not force it. You're still young; you'll definitely find a better girl."

Randy slumped against the passenger seat.

After thinking for a while, he nodded and said, "Alright! Let's go on a family trip!"

Maybe it would help him forget Andrea quickly.

Charles smiled with satisfaction and took out his phone to call Alan.

The phone rang for a long time before it was answered.

Alan asked, "Charles, what now? I'm getting old and can't stay up late! First, you had me arrange a checkup for Randy, and now you're calling me again. What do you want? Can't it wait until tomorrow?"

Charles suddenly realized it was already midnight and apologized, "Sorry, I was lost in thought and forgot it was already midnight."

Alan was on the verge of tears, "It's not easy doing things for your family! It was easy when we were young, but now that I'm older, I can't handle it anymore."

Charles laughed heartily, "Alan, you'll always be twenty in my eyes."

Alan was amused by him, "Just tell me what you need so I can get back to sleep!"

Charles said, "Please arrange for us to go on a family trip! First stop, Averlake, by private jet. Also, arrange our accommodations."

Alan was momentarily stunned, "A family trip? So sudden?"

Charles replied, "Yes! Please handle it for us! I'll have my father give you a raise."

"I'll get on it right away!" he answered and reminded, "Remember, a raise!"

"Absolutely!" Charles replied.

After ending the call, Charles said to Randy, "Let's go back and pack our bags, and have everyone else pack too! Then we'll head straight to the airport! It's a ten-hour drive, so you can get some rest!"

Randy closed his eyes wearily and nodded, "Alright!"

Not knowing what he was thinking, he muttered to himself, "I hope Andrea can be happy. Even if she can't be with me, I hope she's happy and joyful."

Charles gave him a serious look, his deep eyes filled with complex emotions.

When they got home, everyone had just gone to bed.

Charles woke them all up, "Pack your bags; we're going on a family trip."

Fannie rubbed her eyes in shock, "Charles, are you crazy? If we're going on a trip, can't it wait until morning? I just fell asleep."

Patricia was also displeased, "Yeah! I haven't slept well in days, and I just fell asleep! Now you're waking me up again."

Charles said, "You got one hour to get ready! Meet at the door in an hour! If you're not there, I'll assume you're not coming!"

With that, he didn't give them time to react and went back to his room.

"He's lost his mind. Charles has definitely lost his mind. He hasn't been normal since he got back," Fannie grumbled but obediently went back to pack her bags.

Elijah put his arm around her shoulder and kissed her lightly on the cheek, "You go back to sleep; I'll pack. I'll wake you when it's time."

Fannie yawned lazily, nodding, "I'll sleep a bit more then; I'm so tired!"

Elijah tucked her in and started packing.

An hour later, everyone gathered in the garden of Sunshine Manor, yawning.

Charles had arranged for two cars.

And just like that, the family began their trip.

They were gone for a month.

Everyone had a blast.

Meanwhile, Hannah was frustrated for over a month.

Her internship was about to end, and Charles hadn't returned. She was anxious.

Hannah asked, "Stella, have you been in touch with Mr. Watson lately?"

Stella, seeing her concern, tried to comfort her, "No! No one can reach them! I heard from my parents that they went on a family trip! They probably cut off all contact to enjoy themselves."

Hannah looked at the calendar on her phone, "I have one week left in my internship."

Once she left, she might never see Charles again.

Stella was also frustrated.

She had finally gotten Austin to break up with her, but Charles hadn't shown up.

It was really bugging her.

Stella comforted, "Don't worry, there will be a chance! I'll definitely help you."

Just then, her phone rang.

The call was from Maximilian.

"Where are you now?" As soon as the call connected, he asked directly.

Stella replied, "I'm with Hannah! What's up?"

Maximilian said, "Perfect, bring Hannah back for a meal!"

Stella was about to refuse when Maximilian said, "Charles and Randy are here."

Stella was stunned, "Dad, what did you say? Did you say Charles and Randy are here?"

Hearing Charles' name, Hannah's eyes lit up, looking at Stella with hope.

Maximilian, exasperated, said, "Was I not clear enough?"

Stella was so excited she wanted to scream.

But she was so excited she was momentarily speechless.

Maximilian, thinking she was unwilling, persuaded, "Whether you want to or not, you have to come back! This is Randy's first time at our house! How can you not be here? You haven't seen him in over a decade, right?"

Stella immediately said, "Yes, sir! I'll be right back!"

After ending the call, Stella grabbed Hannah and headed out, "Charles is back! This is great! We've waited so long, and he's finally back! Now you can talk to him properly! Whether you end up together or not, I think you should tell him your feelings. Charles likes you so much; he'll definitely accept you."

Thinking about seeing Charles soon, Hannah's palms started to sweat, and her eyes welled up.

Charles was finally back.

After more than a month, they were finally going to meet again.

When they arrived at the Reed Family's house, Hannah saw Charles sitting on the couch in the living room, his side facing the door.

With just one look, her eyes were fixed on him, unable to look away.

A month's missing surged up.

She nervously twisted the hem of her shirt, her eyes misting over.

She missed him.

She missed him desperately.

She had so much to say to him.

But now that they met, she didn't know where to start.
