Chapter 871 Discovering Andrea's Secret
The second the light flicked on, Andrea squinted and threw her hand up to block the glare, taking a minute to get used to it.
Charles strolled over and shoved a piece of paper and a pen at her.
"Write a goodbye letter to Randy!" he barked.
Andrea, eyes all puffy and red, stared at him, tears rolling down her cheeks.
"No way, I won't do it!" she shot back.
Charles glared down at her, ice-cold.
Even in her messed-up state, Andrea was drop-dead gorgeous.
Her long lashes, deep eyeliner, and sparkly brown eyeshadow made her eyes pop even more.
Her curly hair was all over the place, adding a wild touch. Her slightly red eyes had a sad look that made her even more stunning.
With a face like that, she was still a piece of work.
Charles was fuming, "You don't get a choice! If you don't write it, I'll spill the beans to Randy about who you really are. You know he can't stand being lied to. If you leave now, he'll still think about you and miss you! But if he finds out the truth, he'll only hate you."
Seeing the face that looked just like Randy's but with a totally different vibe, Andrea lost it, dropping to her knees and grabbing Charles' arm.
"Please, don't make me leave Randy. I really love him. I can't live without him!" she pleaded.
Charles sneered, "You think I'll buy that?"
Andrea shook her head like crazy, "I'm telling the truth! Yeah, I came to him at first to kill him! But then I really fell for him."
Charles pulled out a white pill bottle from his pocket and tossed it at her.
It bounced off her and hit the floor.
"Then explain this," Charles demanded.
Andrea's face went pale as she stared at the pill bottle.
Seeing her clammed up, Charles said with a blank face, "I had someone check it out. It's all poison. If someone takes these long enough, they'll get sick and die."
Andrea shook her head frantically, "I didn't give it to Randy, I swear. I love him too much to poison him! I didn't."
Charles yanked his arm away, stepping back in disgust.
"Whether you did or not, I can't risk it! Maybe you haven't done it yet, but what about later? So, you better write that letter now! Once you're done, I'll have someone take you away. Don't ever show your face to Randy again."
Andrea buried her face in her hands, sobbing uncontrollably, "I really love Randy. I love him so much! I'd never hurt him, even if it meant dying."
Charles crouched down, pulled her hands away, and locked eyes with her, making her look at him.
"I don't want to hear the same crap again, and I don't want to repeat myself!" he said.
Andrea wasn't ready to give up, "I admit it, I came to him with a plan! Your dad killed my dad, and I wanted revenge. But once I fell for Randy, I let go of my hate!"
Charles pressed on, "What about your mom?"
Andrea quickly explained, "I'll talk to her. I'll make her let go of her hate."
Charles sneered, "No way! I remember that icy look in her eyes the last time you met her in secret. Someone with that much hate doesn't just let it go. I'm not letting you mess with my family! Write the letter now, and I'll let you live and send you away. Stay out of Sunset Bay, and you can live in peace. But if you try to mess with my family again, you'll disappear without a trace."
Andrea completely lost it.
Ever since she found out Martin killed her dad, and her mom told her to take out Randy, she'd been on edge.
She didn't want to hurt anyone, especially not Randy.
But her mom kept pushing her, driving her nuts.
She'd been tense the whole time, and Charles' words made her snap.
She shook off Charles' hand, grabbed her head, and screamed, "Why, why are you all pushing me! I just want to be with the man I love. Why won't you let me? Why are you all pushing me, why? Why?"
Tears streamed down her face as she shouted.
Thinking about leaving Randy tore her heart in two, causing her immense pain.
Charles stayed cold, "My dad lived a straight life and never hurt an innocent person! If he killed your dad, it means your dad had it coming! I gave you a chance! But the moment you took that pill bottle from your mom, you blew it!"
Yesterday morning, Andrea had left her phone on the coffee table.
Charles accidentally saw someone messaging her.
Out of respect for privacy, he didn't check her phone.
But as he passed the coffee table, he saw the last message from the other person.
[When are you going to kill Randy?]
Seeing this, he was shocked, thinking he had misread.
But more messages kept coming.
[Why aren't you replying? Tell me quickly!]
[I warn you, don't forget how your father died.]
[You approached Randy just to avenge your father. You better not really fall in love with Randy.]
[Reply quickly.]
[Reply!]
[If you don't reply, I'll be rude to you.]
Message after message came.
Even if Charles didn't want to look, he saw them.
After some hesitation, he picked up the phone and quickly used his skills to unlock it, opening the messages.
Scrolling up, it was blank.
This meant that after every conversation, Andrea would delete the chat history.
The only messages left were the ones just received.
To avoid being detected, Andrea hadn't saved the other person's number, and they hadn't added each other on Facebook. They communicated only through text messages.
Charles stared at [When are you going to kill Randy?] for a long time, then quietly exited and put the phone back.
As he was about to go upstairs to his study, Andrea rushed in from outside. Seeing her phone on the coffee table, she sighed in relief and checked it.
Whatever she saw made her face change instantly, her hand holding the phone trembling slightly.
Although her expressions were subtle, Charles noticed them all.
He didn't look further and went upstairs.
Back in his study, he opened his laptop and hacked into Andrea's phone, restoring all the deleted messages.
There were many messages.
From the first message, spanning five years.
Charles patiently read from the first message.
The more he read, the darker his expression became.
