Chapter 87 Charles Sends a Distress Signal.

Feeling the boss's anger, Alan fiercely kicked the captain's chest.

"Where is Grant now?" Alan demanded.

The captain's chest hurt from the kick, but he dared not make a sound. Trembling, he pointed behind the cargo ship and said.

"H-he and several crew members rowed a lifeboat over there, trying to salvage the body. It's a way to make it up to the employer."

Hearing the word "body," Martin's face instantly became sinister and terrifying, like the king of hell.

"Alan, call everyone back from the sea and notify all the salvage teams in Ivara City. Tell them to prepare the most advanced equipment and come here immediately. We must find Patricia at all costs!" Martins orders demanded immediate action.

When he mentioned the phrase "at all costs," his voice had a particularly biting tone, with a hint of grinding teeth.

"Yes! I'll arrange it right away." Alan took his orders and picked up his phone to make the arrangements.

Martin then instructed the head of the security team.

"Cut off the right hand of everyone involved in this matter, and then send them and all their incriminating evidence to the police station."

His words made everyone present lose all color in their faces. Several individuals were so frightened that they also wet themselves.

The captain desperately clung to Martin's legs, begging.

"This matter has nothing to do with us. If I had known it was Mrs. Langley who was being smuggled, even if you killed me, I wouldn't have taken this job.”

“Besides, Mrs. Langley was forced to jump into the sea by Grant, it has nothing to do with us. Please, spare us. We swear we won't commit any more crimes in the future."

Martin looked down at him as if looking at the most despicable ant.

"Just because she's not my wife, you think you can take the job? I despise scum like you who bully the weak and defenseless the most! Even dying a hundred times is not enough for you."

After speaking, he waved his hand.

The bodyguards, one by one, dragged them into the cargo hold. Some who had the audacity to resist were quickly subdued by the bodyguards. Ignoring their cries of anguish, they were forced.

The whole situation dragged on.

"Ah..."

Came the screams one after the other.

"Ah..."

Without any delay, a painful wailing sound echoed throughout the entire cargo ship. The strong scent of blood permeated the air, lingering for a long time.

The onlookers who came to the other cargo ships were all scared witless, trembling in fear.

After a while, the captain of the security team filled a bag with a pile of right hands that had been unloaded, pouring them into the sea in front of everyone.

The fresh red blood spread on the surface of the sea, enchanting like blossoming flowers.

The onlookers trembled even more intensely, afraid of being implicated. They lowered their heads, fleeing this place like snakes or scorpions, returning to their own cargo ships, and hiding in their resting rooms.

All the salvage teams in Ivara City rushed to the scene.

All of the Langley family's bodyguards also hurried over, including the ones who had been assigned tasks temporarily putting aside their current responsibilities to join the salvage team.

Martin stood on the deck, watching the swarm of people gradually diving into the sea. With a livid face, he asked Alan, "Where's Grant?"

Alan truthfully answered, "It seems he received the news in advance and jumped into the sea to escape! But I have sent people to chase after him. It won't be long before we catch him!"

Martin remained silent, but a chilling aura emanated from him, revealing his rage.

Alan continued with his report.

"We caught one crew member who had a close relationship with Grant. He said Charles, the young master, was taken away by another cargo ship that left two hours before we arrived. When we received the information, that cargo ship had already been sailing for an hour.”

“Our men are currently pursuing them. It's just that the sea area is vast, and a slight deviation from the route might cause us to lose them. I have already applied for satellite positioning." Alan concluded.

"Concentrate manpower here with Patricia. Do your best on that side. If we really can't find them, there's nothing we can do." Martin's tone was indifferent, his expression plain, as if he wasn't interested in this topic.

"......??"

Alan felt uncomfortable with Martin's expression and attitude. His mind ran hot, and he almost blurted out Charles's true identity.

Just as the words were about to come out, shouts from Grant suddenly came from below the cargo ship.

"Let go of me! I am Grant! If you dare touch me, I won't spare you! Don't think the Langley family can rule over Z Country with an iron fist. I, Grant, am not afraid of you!"

Alan calmed down and swallowed the words that were about to come out of his mouth.

Amidst the continuous cursing, Grant was carried up to the deck by two bodyguards and thrown at Martin's feet.

With his bound hands and feet, Grant could only wriggle on the ground like a worm, cursing loudly without any fear of death.

"So, you're Martin? What are you? You dare to use extrajudicial methods. Without the support of your family, the Langley family, you're nothing but a fart in Z Country. In terms of ability and skill, you don't even qualify to polish his shoes..."

He...

The more he cursed, the more offensive it became. Alan couldn't stand it anymore. He raised his hand and slapped Grant several times, making his eyes see stars and his ears ring.

"If I didn't have something to ask you, do you think you would still be alive to see our boss? You scum, a social tumor." Alan cursed at him.

Even the cool and dignified Alan couldn't help but explode with profanity.

"Heh..." Grant smirked arrogantly, "I won't say, what can you do to me?"

He didn't believe it. With Sean backing him up, Martin wouldn't dare to touch him. It was just a scare, nothing more. Grant thought.

Martin took off his tie, removed his suit jacket, and casually threw them at Alan. He rolled up his sleeves and approached Grant.

Grant instinctively backed away.

Martin rolled up his sleeves, as he grabbed an iron rod from the ground, and went crazy, hitting Grant over and over again, causing him to scream.

Martin couldn't satisfy his anger and struck harder with each blow. He aimed for the most painful but non-lethal areas, venting his anger.

In a short while, Grant was covered in blood, barely conscious on the ground.

Martin still didn't want to stop. Thinking of Patricia's disappearance, he wanted to skin Grant alive.

The more his heart ached, the more merciless his attacks became.

Afraid that Martin would kill him, Alan hurriedly pulled him back. "Boss, you can't continue, he'll die. We still need him to find out who orchestrated the kidnapping of the madam and Charles!"

After hearing his words, Martin finally stopped. He gave Grant two more lashes in anger before angrily throwing away the iron rod.

By now, Grant's face couldn't be recognized, completely unconscious.

The deck was stained with blood.

Alan immediately ordered his subordinates to take him away, keeping a close eye on him to prevent him from dying.

Martin wanted to kill Grant but thinking that they hadn't caught the real culprit behind Patricia and Charles's plot, he had to suppress his anger.

"Did the salvage team find anything?" Martin roared at Alan.

Alan watched as the salvage team went into the sea one by one, shaking his head in silence.

Martin clenched his fists tightly, using that to restrain the heartache.

Just then, Alan's phone rang. It was a call from Luke.

Thinking something had gone wrong with the company, Alan quickly answered, "What's the matter?"

Luke sounded excited, "Alan, I've tracked down C's whereabouts."
