Chapter 1139 Entering the Dream
Charles's eyes narrowed, a flash of severity passing through them.
Tina wasn't in a hurry. She knew that, given how much Hannah meant to Charles, he would definitely agree.
Sure enough, Charles just stared at her coldly for a moment, then, without any hesitation, agreed to her request. "Fine, I agree! If you can really find a way to wake Hannah up, I'll release Austin and send you both out of the country. I promise not to harm Austin."
Tina smiled. "Deal! Is Hannah in the hospital now? Take me there, and I'll check on her condition first."
Charles signaled to the police officer, who immediately understood and opened the iron door.
With Austin in his hands, Charles wasn't worried about Tina running away. He walked ahead, and Tina obediently followed behind.
Carter walked at the back.
On the way to the hospital, Charles kept an eye on the road while asking her, "What's your plan? Is it dangerous? Will it harm Hannah?"
Tina replied, "The method is simple. We need to pull her out using someone."
Charles frowned. "How do we pull her out?"
Tina patiently explained, "I have a way to send one of you into her dream and pull her back into reality. Just tell her in the dream that she's dreaming."
Charles's eyebrows twitched. "You can send someone into her dream?"
Tina confidently said, "Maybe not just anyone, but I can! It's similar to hypnosis, but different from the hypnosis Mr. Moore and Hannah experienced before."
Both Charles and Carter were puzzled.
Charles exchanged a glance with Carter in the rearview mirror.
They had to admit, Tina was indeed a very capable psychologist.
Unfortunately, she was troubled by love and didn't use her abilities for the right purposes.
Otherwise, she could have made a name for herself globally.
Tina continued, "However, her mental state is very fragile right now. We can't send too many people in at once; only one person. Otherwise, it will be too much for her body and mind, and it will backfire.
As for who you choose to go into her dream, that's up to you.
As they say, only the person who tied the knot can untie it. My suggestion is to use whatever is currently troubling her to save her.
Otherwise, if I go in and it doesn't work, it will take a long time before we can try hypnosis again."
Charles asked, "Why does it take a long time for the next attempt?"
Tina patiently explained, "Because Hannah is already in a very weak state. Each time we go in, it takes a lot out of her body.
If it doesn't work the first time, we need to let her rest and recover before trying again.
So, we need to get it right the first time. Don't choose the wrong person."
After hearing her explanation, Charles almost immediately made his decision.
When they arrived at the hospital, he directly voiced his thoughts.
Lassie was both surprised and worried when she heard she had to enter Hannah's dream. "I can go in, I want to go in! But what if I'm not the one troubling her? Wouldn't that waste this opportunity? And then we'd have to wait several days for the next chance."
Charles explained, "Last night and tonight, Hannah's been calling out for her mom in her dreams. So, I'm pretty sure her heart trouble comes from Lisa and Quentin.
Hannah doesn't know they aren't her real parents, so she's stuck in past memories.
Once you're in, tell her the truth. Let her know that Quentin and Lisa's dislike isn't her fault, but because they aren't her real parents."
He then turned to Tina, "Can we use this opportunity to break her hypnosis and help her remember her childhood?"
Tina was silent for a moment before replying, "I'll try! Since I didn't perform the initial hypnosis, I can't be completely sure."
Charles anxiously asked, "Will it harm her?"
Tina reassured him, "Don't worry, I'll stop if I notice anything wrong. I won't let Hannah get hurt."
Despite her reassurance, Charles was still a bit uneasy. "Are you sure it won't harm her?"
Tina firmly promised, "I guarantee it! Austin's life is still in your hands. I wouldn't risk his life. Besides, Hannah is my only friend besides Austin. I never intended to harm her."
Charles stared at her without blinking.
Seeing her sincere expression, he chose to believe her.
He had always lived by the principle of trusting those he used and not using those he didn't trust.
Moreover, from what he had observed, Tina wasn't a person with ill intentions.
Everything she did was for Austin, for love.
In truth, she hadn't done anything unforgivable.
So, he decided to trust her for now. "Alright! What do we need to do?"
Tina said, "Have them lie down together, holding hands."
Charles moved Hannah to the edge of the bed, leaving a space for Lassie.
The bed was small, but since both Hannah and Lassie were thin, it was enough for them if they didn't move around.
Still, Charles raised the bed's side rails to prevent them from falling.
After moving Hannah to the side, Lassie immediately lay down next to her and held her hand.
For the first time, mother and daughter lay hand in hand.
Tina instructed, "Mr. Watson, Mr. Moore, please wait outside and guard the door. No one should interrupt the hypnosis."
Carter was hesitant to leave, worried about his wife and child.
Charles patted his shoulder and nodded.
Reluctantly, Carter left the ward with Charles.
They closed the door and sat on the bench outside, keeping watch.
Even though it was late at night and unlikely anyone would come, the hospital nurses occasionally made rounds, and an interruption would be problematic.
Sitting side by side, Carter asked, "Can we really trust Tina?"
Charles replied seriously, "At this point, we have to try! I think she's right. With Austin in our hands, she won't dare to act out. From what I've observed, she values Austin more than herself. As long as we have Austin, she won't make any reckless moves."
Trusting Charles's judgment, Carter felt a bit more at ease.
