Chapter 1121 No Criminal Will Admit Their Crime

After Charles threw out his question, Quentin and Lisa went silent again.

Lisa and Quentin exchanged a glance, then both turned to look at Austin, who was being held down in a chair.

He seemed to have struggled for too long, and now he was out of energy, sitting there obediently with the bodyguards pressing down on his shoulders.

Austin didn't say a word, just stared at them coldly.

Just one look from him sent a shiver down Quentin and Lisa's spines.

Austin was a psycho!

Even though they were now in Charles' hands, Charles was at least an honorable gentleman.

Even if he hated them, he wouldn't really harm them. At most, he'd send them to jail for a few years.

After all, during the days they were under house arrest, Charles hadn't hurt them and had provided them with three meals a day.

It was their own guilt and fear that made them scream so much.

But Austin was completely different.

He was a psycho who was obsessed with his own sister and had caused so much trouble.

If they offended Austin, who knew how he would retaliate.

So, they just looked at Austin in fear, not daring to answer Charles' question.

Seeing their silence, Charles asked with a half-smile, "You don't seem surprised by his current situation at all? Could it be that you anticipated this would happen?"

Lisa shook her head frantically. "No, no, we were just too panicked to react right away."

Charles looked down at them from above, patiently asking again, "If that's the case, then answer my question! How did you meet him? How did he meet Hannah? What's his connection to your family?"

Lisa didn't dare not to answer, but she also didn't dare to offend Austin, so she stammered as she began to explain. "Well, he liked Hannah and pursued her! But Hannah never agreed! Later, my husband got sick and needed a lot of money and a healthy liver transplant!

Austin found a suitable liver for the transplant and paid for my husband's expensive medical bills.

Hannah was very grateful to him and agreed to be his girlfriend. Not long after, they got engaged!

Their relationship was always good and stable! The initial plan was to get married when Hannah turned twenty and have the wedding after she graduated from college.

But unexpectedly, when Hannah started college, she met you and insisted on breaking off the engagement with him."

At this point, she seemed to remember something and waved her hands frantically, "But after they broke off the engagement, we never saw him again. Everything he did has nothing to do with us.

We've always been good citizens and have never done anything immoral."

Clearly, her answer didn't satisfy Charles. But it did satisfy Austin.

Austin's gloomy expression softened, and he sneered, "Charles, what exactly do you want? What? You couldn't frame me with Tina, so now you're using Hannah's parents to frame me? What do you want? Do you have to see me dead to be satisfied? You've already taken Hannah away, I'm not fighting you anymore, what more do you want? Do you have to kill me?"

Charles glanced at him indifferently, ignoring him, and continued to look at Lisa. "So, you're saying you met Austin through Hannah? Besides Hannah, you had no private contact with him."

Lisa was about to nod in agreement when Quentin pulled her back.

Quentin quickly said, "Yes, yes, we did!"

As soon as he said this, Austin's expression changed again.

Just when he thought he was doomed, Quentin spoke up, "To be honest, Austin has done me a favor. If it weren't for him, I might have died a long time ago!

We fully supported his relationship with Hannah! Austin has been very good to us! On holidays, he would call to check on us.

Sometimes when we visited Hannah at D University, he would take us out shopping and buy us things.

So, to be precise, besides Hannah, we did have private contact with him. Such a close relationship couldn't be completely without contact.

Especially since Austin is very polite and has been incredibly good to us. That's why we always opposed you and Hannah, insisting that she be with Austin."

He was purposefully flattering Austin, knowing that Austin would likely come after him later.

Anyway, he was telling the truth.

Except for hiding the part about Hannah's background, everything else he said was true.

Hearing this, Austin looked at Charles smugly, raising an eyebrow, "So, what now? What other accusations do you have against me?"

His smug, confident demeanor made Charles grind his molars in anger.

For the first time, Charles realized how shameless Austin could be.

Even with all the evidence, he could still deny it without blushing or gasping.

Charles looked at Austin coldly, then suddenly smiled.

Austin felt a chill run down his spine at Charles' smile.

Before he could figure out the meaning behind the smile, Charles turned to Lassie, "What do you think?"

Lassie rubbed her aching temples, closed her eyes, and was silent for a moment.

"I believe you! I watched you grow up, I know your character, you would never frame someone or do anything immoral. Besides, the evidence is clear, I saw the phone being found with my own eyes! I saw the doctor compare the fingerprints. Even if you framed him, what about the fingerprints? Even if you put the fingerprints there, they wouldn't be so dense, with new and old fingerprints."Austin exclaimed in disbelief. "Mom, you believe him and not me? I'm your son."

Lassie turned her head away, refusing to look at him.

Charles looked at Austin, his lips curling into a cruel smile. "You think I gathered all this evidence just to bring you to justice? I collected the evidence to ensure I wasn't wrongfully accusing you, to maintain the relationship between the Langley family and the Moore family. As long as Lassie believes me, that's enough!

Whether you admit your guilt or not makes no difference to me!

Since you did something immoral, you should pay for your actions.

Justice is in people's hearts, no matter how much you argue and deny it. We're not fools, we only believe in evidence.

There are many prisoners in jail, even after being convicted, none of them admit their crimes!"

Saying this, he looked at Tina, narrowing his eyes. "As for her, she's an accomplice and can't escape responsibility either."
