Chapter 1021 Drugging Charles
"You..."
Stella opened her mouth, ready to expose Violet's identity on the spot.
Patricia quickly pulled her upstairs.
"Stella, I just remembered something I need to tell you! Come upstairs with me, and I'll explain everything."
"But..."
Stella pointed at Violet, too shocked and angry to speak. Normally eloquent, she was momentarily at a loss for words and was dragged upstairs by Patricia in a daze.
It wasn't until the door closed that she found her voice again.
"Aunt Patricia, that person just now wasn't Hannah! She is Violet!"
Although Violet was wearing makeup, making it hard to tell from her face alone, Stella and Hannah were about the same height, while Violet was shorter than both of them.
Just now, Violet was wearing slippers, and the height difference between her and Stella was immediately noticeable.
Moreover, Hannah would always be excited to see Stella, linking arms with her and chatting endlessly.
But just now, "Hannah" acted like a stranger, not even glancing at her.
That "Hannah" was clearly a fake.
Patricia sighed, "I knew I couldn't hide it from you! I originally wanted you to stay at the hotel with your parents to avoid this. But you insisted on coming, and I couldn't stop you."
Stella wasn't naive; she immediately understood Patricia's implication.
"So, you knew all along that person wasn't Hannah, but Violet?"
Then, she guessed an even bigger possibility, her eyes widening. "So, Charles knew too?"
Patricia said helplessly, "If even you could tell, how could Charles not? Hannah is the love of his life! I also knew you and Hannah were best friends, and you'd definitely notice. You and Charles are the closest to Hannah; they might fool others, but not you two."
Stella couldn't believe such an absurd thing had happened.
"How could this be? When did they switch? How did I not notice at all?"
Suddenly, she thought of something and realized, "It happened in the bathroom, right? They must have switched after coming out of the bathroom. I knew something was off when someone called me away.
I noticed Hannah seemed shorter after coming out of the bathroom! Violet had planned this all along.
She knew I would stick close to Hannah, so she found a reason to lure me away.
She used that time to switch places with Hannah. Damn Violet, where did she take Hannah? I need to find her.
I've never hated someone so much in my life.
What's the point of her relentless scheming?
Does she really think her plan is flawless and no one would notice?
With her demeanor, how could she compare to Hannah? I saw through her immediately.
I'm so furious, I have to confront her today! Why does she keep hurting Hannah over and over again?"
"No, no, I have to find her! Hannah is missing, and who knows where she took her! I need to ask her where Hannah is. If she doesn't tell me, I'll make her pay!"
Stella said, rolling up her sleeves, ready to confront Violet.
Patricia, initially angry, was now amused by Stella's antics. She held Stella's hand tightly, afraid she would really run downstairs to confront Violet, which would definitely alert her.
"Don't be impulsive! If you go down there recklessly, you'll ruin Charles' plan and alert Violet! It will be even harder to find Hannah then."
Stella paused, "Charles has a plan?"
Patricia said, "You have to trust Charles. If he says he has a plan, he definitely does. When Violet was kidnapped, he wasn't in Sunset Bay and has felt guilty ever since. Now that something has happened to Hannah right in front of him, he will do everything he can to find her and prevent another tragedy."
Stella had great confidence in Charles' abilities.
Since both Charles and Patricia said there was a plan, it meant they really had a way to find Hannah.
If she recklessly confronted Violet, wouldn't that ruin Charles' plan?
Thinking of this, she immediately calmed down.
"So I should pretend I don't know anything?"
Patricia nodded, "Yes! Just treat her as if she's Hannah."
"But..." Stella's face scrunched up in distress, "What if I can't control myself? What if I lose it and hit her the moment I see her?
If I had known this would happen, I should have killed her with a knife back then."
Stella never expected that Violet, even after being confined to a mental hospital, could still come out and cause trouble.
"If you're afraid you can't control yourself, I'll book you a flight. You can go back to Country D with your parents tomorrow. Or stay at the hotel with them for a few days."
"No, I can't leave. I have to wait until we find Hannah."
Patricia sighed helplessly, "In that case, stay at the hotel for the next few days! Try to avoid meeting Violet as much as possible."
This seemed like the best option.
Although Stella was furious enough to want to kill Violet, she had to hold back and return to the hotel in order to find Hannah.
After dinner, Charles escorted Violet back to the guest room where Hannah used to stay.
Standing at the door, Violet clung to Charles' sleeve, reluctant to let go, "Charles, I want to stay with you. Today is our engagement day, and I can't bear to see you leave."
Charles, annoyed, deliberately said, "Hannah, what's going on with you? You used to be the most conservative! You were the one who insisted on saving your first time for our wedding night! Why the sudden change of heart?"
He said this on purpose to avoid Violet's constant attempts to seduce him.
He was tired of dealing with her.
Sure enough, Violet, afraid of revealing her true identity, quickly smiled and said, "I just can't bear to be apart from you! I'm a bit regretful about what I said before! It's getting late; I should go back to my room! You should rest early too."
"Alright!"
Charles nodded and went back to his room first.
Violet bit her lower lip in frustration, glaring at Charles' closed door before turning to her own room.
She walked to the dressing table, opened a drawer, and took out a packet of white powder.
Austin's words echoed in her ears.
"In Hannah's room, there's a green box in the drawer with a packet of white powder. It's an aphrodisiac.
If Charles won't sleep with you, find a way to make him take the drug!
You must have sex with him that night; otherwise, when your makeup comes off, everyone will know you're not the real Hannah.
Only by sleeping with Charles can you stay in the Langley family and make him take responsibility for you."
Violet looked at the white powder in her hand, her eyes narrowing with malice.
Austin was right!
She had to find a way to sleep with Charles.
She had to stay in the Langley family and be with Charles.
