Chapter 1156 Gathered Together
Feeling much better and with the best doctors in town taking turns to treat her, Hannah's health improved significantly.
After another week in the hospital, she was ready to be discharged and continue her recovery at home.
Because of a fracture in her lower leg, Charles arranged for a custom-made, fully automated wheelchair to ensure she didn't put any weight on it.
Hannah didn't protest and obediently sat in the wheelchair.
Lassie was also very efficient.
As soon as Hannah agreed to change her name, Lassie had the paperwork started immediately. Hannah officially changed her name, and all her identity documents were transferred from the White family to the Moore family.
After being discharged, Hannah didn't return to Sunshine Manor but went straight to the Moore family's Rose Garden Manor.
The moment Charles pushed her wheelchair through the door, there was a loud "bang," and colorful streamers floated down from above.
"Hannah, congrats on getting out of the hospital!"
"Hannah, congrats on finding your real parents. Wishing you all the happiness and success!"
"Hannah, congrats on officially changing your last name to Moore. This is your home now, and you can always count on us."
"Hannah, you're finally back. I've missed you so much. We won't be apart again, right?"
Amid the flying streamers, Hannah saw the people standing in front of her.
There were so many people.
Martin, Patricia, Elijah, Fannie, Randy, Stella, Maria, Declan, Ryan, Daisy, Tyler, Lassie, Carter, Shirley.
Three big families, all here in person.
And her best friend, Stella.
The house was decorated festively.
Seeing her return, everyone had tears in their eyes.
Especially Stella, who bent down to hug Hannah, crying uncontrollably, "You're finally back! I was so worried about you!"
Hannah knew Stella was very concerned about her and was crying out of happiness. She gently patted her back to comfort her, "Silly girl, I'm fine now! Don't cry! Today is a happy day, we should be smiling."
Stella lightly punched her back in mock anger. "Smile? How can I smile when I'm this happy? Haven't you heard that sometimes people are too happy to smile?"
Hannah chuckled, "I've only heard that people can be too sad to cry, but never too happy to smile."
"You're so annoying!" Stella knew Hannah was teasing her and let go, wiping her tears in embarrassment.
Randy silently handed her a handkerchief.
Stella took it naturally and continued to wipe her tears.
Shirley happily walked behind Hannah's wheelchair, wanting to take over from Charles, but the wheelchair was too heavy. It was custom-made by Charles to ensure Hannah's comfort, making it heavier than a regular wheelchair. She tried to push it, but found it wouldn't budge.
Lassie laughed and pulled her aside, "Let me handle it!"
Unable to push Hannah, Shirley leaned in close, smiling, "Hannah, Mom had Evangeline prepare lots of your favorite foods!"
Hannah ruffled her hair and smiled, "Great! The hospital food was so bland, I could use a change."
Shirley led the way to the dining room.
Although there were a lot of people today, the dining room at Rose Garden Manor was spacious, with a custom-made table that could seat over twenty people. With only a dozen people, there was plenty of room.
Seeing the table full of delicious dishes, Hannah's appetite was immediately whetted, and she began to eat heartily.
Because of her leg, Charles sat beside her, serving her whatever she wanted.
Seeing how attentive Charles was to Hannah, Lassie and Carter exchanged a satisfied look.
Now that their daughter had found happiness, they felt they had no more regrets.
After dinner, everyone presented their gifts, congratulating Hannah on reuniting with her family and being discharged safely.
Hannah graciously accepted each gift and thanked everyone.
Next, Stella, Hannah, Fannie, and Maria sat down to play mahjong.
Charles sat behind Hannah.
Randy sat behind Stella.
Elijah sat behind Fannie.
Tyler sat behind Maria.
They chatted and played cards, enjoying each other's company.
Lassie, Patricia, and Daisy went to the garden to enjoy the scenery and tea.
Carter, Ryan, and Martin sat in the living room, chatting.
Among them was the quiet and mature Declan.
Since starting college, Declan had been interning at the Langley Group. He was always reserved, and his time at the Langley Group made him even more so.
During family gatherings, he usually stayed silent, listening. When he did speak, it was always to the point.
He was twenty-three but had the demeanor of someone much older.
While the younger generation played enthusiastically, he found them too noisy and chose to sit with the older generation, discussing business.
The atmosphere at home was exceptionally good.
Everyone stayed until after dinner before leaving.
Charles, worried about Hannah, wanted to stay, but Patricia pulled him away.
"Don't worry, Rose Garden Manor is well-guarded, just like Sunshine Manor. Hannah will be safe here!
Besides, Carter and Lassie just found her; they'll take good care of her.
They care about Hannah as much as you do!
Knowing Lassie, she'll definitely stay with Hannah tonight! Give them some time to bond.
Once you're married, you'll have plenty of time together. There's no rush!"
"But..." Charles was still worried.
He had promised to stay by Hannah's side.
After losing her multiple times, he was now terrified.
Patricia smiled, "No buts! Quentin, Lisa, Austin, and Tina are all locked up. No one will harm her now, trust me! Hannah is kind-hearted and has no enemies. It was only Austin causing trouble! Now that he's in our hands, he won't have another chance!"
Hannah didn't want Charles to spend all his time on her either.
He deserved his own space.
So she said, "Charles, she's right. I'm safe here, really! You should go with her! Come get me in the morning."
They had planned to visit Oliver in Country D the next day.
With Quentin and Lisa locked up, Oliver had been out of touch.
She was worried about him.
She wanted to check on him and make sure he was okay.
As for Tina's hypnosis, that would have to wait.
Seeing everyone agree, Charles didn't insist. After reminding Lassie and Carter to take good care of Hannah, he left with the Langley family.
