Chapter 1084 Hannah Met Austin

Hannah looked at Charles with emotion. No matter when or where, he always understood her and could always alleviate her anxiety, unease, and worries.

With his words, Hannah no longer hesitated and took the pajamas from the bed to go shower.

When she came out, Charles had already finished washing in the outside bathroom, his hair dried, and he was handling some work on a notebook.

Seeing her come out, he immediately closed the notebook, took out a hairdryer from the bathroom, and dried her hair.

The warm wind blowing on her head made Hannah extremely comfortable, and she felt drowsy.

Charles put away the hairdryer, bent down, kissed her forehead, and softly said, "You should sleep early. I still have some work to do."

Hannah wanted to sleep with him and reluctantly asked, "Will you be busy very late?"

"No! I'll be done in an hour or two!"

Hannah lazily yawned. "Then I'll wait for you in bed! I'll play on my phone for a bit."

"Alright! If you get too sleepy, just go to sleep. Don't force yourself to wait for me." Seeing her say this, Charles didn't push her.

After returning from the trip, he had already asked Wyatt to buy Hannah a new phone and got her number back. He also downloaded many fun games on it to keep her entertained.

Most importantly, he installed a location tracker on it. If something similar happened again, he could find her in time.

"Okay! I know!" Hannah obediently nodded, lifted the quilt, got in, and started playing games on her phone.

But she was too tired. After half an hour, she couldn't hold on any longer and fell into a deep sleep.

Charles was working on the sofa. Seeing her asleep, he put the laptop aside, took away the phone still on the game screen, and tucked her in.

Looking at her peaceful sleeping face, Charles couldn't help but bend down, kiss her forehead, and softly say, "Good night!"

Before leaving, he considerately turned off the bedside lamp to let her sleep more peacefully.

He returned to the computer, and Wyatt's message had just come in: [Mr. Watson, after so many days of investigation, we still have no leads! Tina has been a loner for years, with no close friends!]

Looking at Wyatt's message, Charles fell into deep thought.

Tina, being a psychologist, was indeed meticulous and left no traces. It seemed impossible to find clues from her. It looked like he would have to find another way to uncover Tina's accomplice.

The next day.

Hearing that Hannah and Charles had returned, the Moore family and the Parker family came over.

Lassie, afraid that Violet would cause trouble and affect Hannah, kept her at home with the servants and only brought Austin and Shirley.

Ryan brought his wife, Daisy. Their son, Tyler, was studying abroad and didn't come.

As soon as Hannah and Charles came downstairs, a small figure rushed over, hugged Hannah's waist, and cried sorrowfully.

"Hannah, I finally see you again. I thought I'd never see you again! I'm so glad you're okay. I missed you so much."

Hannah was startled by the sudden scene, not knowing what to do.

Charles considerately stepped in, rubbing Shirley's head. "Shirley, you'll scare Hannah like this! Let go of her, and we'll talk in the living room, okay?"

Shirley clung to Hannah, shaking her head. "No, I want to hold Hannah so she won't leave me again."

Shirley's voice was heavy with nasal sounds and sobs. Hannah suddenly felt a pang of sympathy.

Although she was startled by Shirley's sudden rush, she felt an inexplicable sense of closeness to her.

This feeling was very strange. It was different from how she felt about Charles, but it made her feel equally warm.

Hannah squatted down, gently wiped Shirley's tears, and softly coaxed her, "Is your name Shirley?" She had just heard Charles call her that.

Shirley looked at Hannah in surprise. "Hannah, do you really not remember me?"

Hannah shook her head. "I don't remember! But it doesn't matter. Even if I don't remember, we can get to know each other again and become friends! What do you think?"

Shirley, being a child, was easily coaxed and immediately nodded vigorously. "Yes! It doesn't matter if you don't remember. It won't stop us from being friends. No matter what, you're still Hannah."

Hannah rubbed her little head and smiled. "Good! Then today, we'll get to know each other again!"

Shirley nodded vigorously and began to introduce herself, "My name is Shirley Moore, and I'll be six soon..."

Lassie walked over with a smile, pulling Shirley to her side. "Hannah, I'm sorry! She likes you so much that I couldn't stop her."

Hannah looked at Lassie with confusion.

Charles knew she had forgotten Lassie again. Clearly, she had also forgotten that Lassie had taken her as a goddaughter.

Charles awkwardly scratched his forehead and introduced, "This is Shirley's mother. You can call her Aunt Lassie."

Lassie was momentarily stunned. "Charles, she..." She had taken Hannah as her goddaughter after her memory loss, but now Hannah had forgotten her again.

Charles explained, "It's a long story. I can't explain it all at once. I'll explain it to you later."

He implied that it wasn't convenient to say too much with Hannah around.

Lassie understood his implication and didn't ask further, taking Shirley back to the living room.

Charles held Hannah's hand and also walked to the living room, pointing to the people in the house and introducing them one by one, "This is my dad's good friend, Ryan Parker. You met him at the hospital in Country H. He even took us to the airport! Next to him is his wife, Daisy Williams, also my mom's good friend! When my mom was busy, she took care of us siblings."

After that, he pointed to Austin. "This is Aunt Lassie's son, Austin Moore."

Beyond that, Charles didn't say another word.

Clearly, he didn't want Hannah to know that Austin was her ex-fiancé and that they almost got married.

Hannah looked at Austin in the direction Charles pointed. Suddenly, some scattered fragments flashed in her mind, and she subconsciously called out, "Aus."
