Chapter 1098 Violet Prepared to Escape

Martin knew what Patricia was thinking, and his handsome face looked cold and distant. He took out his phone and dialed Alan.

The call was quickly connected. Martin succinctly said, "Get the surveillance footage from the entrance of Sunshine Manor and send the entire process of Hannah's car accident to my phone."

Fortunately, because he was worried about Randy, Martin had paid out of his own pocket to install road surveillance from Sunshine Manor all the way to the main road, and he regularly maintained and updated the equipment.

This person dared to commit a crime right at his doorstep, clearly unaware that there was surveillance at their entrance.

Alan was very efficient, and in no time, the footage was sent over, along with all the information about the red car. [This car belongs to the Moore family. Because the windows are tinted, you can't see the driver! But this car was bought by Mr. Moore after he reunited with Violet, and it's always been driven by Violet.]

Patricia could recognize the car at a glance. When they first found Violet, she often visited the Moore family to see her. Later, Lassie and Carter also brought Violet over a few times, and it was always Violet driving this red car. So, the person in the car was undoubtedly Violet.

Even though Patricia had mentally prepared herself, her heart still ached when she saw the red car parked by the roadside, unhesitatingly hitting Hannah as soon as she came out.

Hannah must have been in a lot of pain when the car hit her. Her head even hit a rock. Violet was truly vicious to have done such a thing.

Since Alan sent the information via text and not voice, Charles didn't see the content.

After a moment, another message from Alan came through: [I checked a few more days and found that this red car has been lingering around the entrance of Sunshine Manor for the past few days! She must have been planning this for a long time.]

Martin's eyes narrowed sharply. Patricia was also so angry that she clenched her teeth, her chest heaving violently.

Violet was as foolish as ever. Back when she treated Hannah so poorly at her workplace, she didn't learn her lesson, and now she had done the same stupid thing again.

This time, she had completely crossed Charles's bottom line. No matter what happened to Hannah this time, whether she survived or not, Charles probably wouldn't let her off easily.

Meanwhile, on the other side.

Lassie was wiping Carter's body. After returning from Country H, Carter only stayed in the hospital for a few days. The doctor said he was fine and didn't even need a ventilator, so he could be taken care of at home.

She found it strange that although everything seemed normal, Carter still hadn't woken up. She had tried everything.

When Charles was in a vegetative state, the doctor suggested that everyone talk to him every day, using the person he cared about most to stimulate him.

She tried the same method, but it still had no effect. She really didn't know what to do.

Seeing that staying in the hospital wouldn't make much progress, Lassie followed the doctor's advice and brought Carter home to recuperate, hiring a family doctor for 24-hour care.

However, she still personally took care of washing Carter every day. Whenever she had time, she would stay by his side and talk to him, hoping to wake him up.

Today, as usual, she was washing Carter with warm water. Just after she finished and dressed Carter, she heard a rush of footsteps at the door.

The servants at home were very well-behaved and wouldn't make such noises. So there was only one person it could be.

Suddenly, she thought of something, immediately threw the towel into the washbasin, and opened the door, just in time to hear the door at the end of the hallway slam shut.

A sense of foreboding rose in Lassie's heart. She knew Violet too well. Whenever Violet slammed things or doors at home, it was definitely related to Charles.

Lassie sighed inwardly, closed the door, and went to Violet's room. She was now mentally and physically exhausted by Violet.

If she had known it would be like this, she would have let Violet stay in the mental hospital, so she wouldn't have to worry every day about Violet doing something bad.

As soon as she walked in, she saw Violet taking a suitcase out of the closet, opening it on the floor, and throwing clothes from the closet into it without folding them.

She could clearly see that Violet was trembling. Violet's face was pale, and her eyes were filled with panic and fear.

Lassie frowned and asked, "Why are you packing? Where are you going? What happened? Did you get into trouble again?"

Violet ignored her and continued throwing clothes into the suitcase.

Lassie snapped the suitcase shut and looked at Violet with a stern expression. "Tell me, what happened? Why are you packing?"

Violet was too anxious and pushed Lassie away from the suitcase. "Don't get in my way. I have to leave here immediately, or I'll be dead."

She didn't know what came over her earlier. When she saw Hannah alone, it was as if she was possessed by a demon. She completely lost her mind and couldn't control herself, driving straight into her.

At that moment, she had only one thought. To kill Hannah. Even if she couldn't have Charles, Hannah shouldn't either.

After hitting Hannah and seeing her fly out, she snapped back to reality, realizing she had made a huge mistake. She stepped on the gas and fled.

On the way back, she thought a lot, all about Charles's ruthless methods.

Last time in Country D, Charles cut off someone's mouth for insulting Hannah and locked her in a mental hospital.

This time, she hit Hannah with her car. Charles would definitely be even angrier. She might even die.

To save her life, she had to escape, as far as possible, to a place where Charles couldn't find her. She would come back when his anger had subsided.

Lassie was now certain of her suspicions. Violet had indeed caused trouble. But she didn't know what kind of trouble Violet had caused this time or if it was related to Charles.

Lassie snapped her suitcase shut again, her expression becoming particularly serious. "If you don't tell me what happened, I absolutely won't let you leave!"

Violet's eyes instantly turned bloodshot. She didn't care anymore and forcefully pushed Lassie away again, starting to break down. "I told you, don't interfere with me! Why are you so annoying? Do you want to see me dead?"

This time, she used a lot of force. Lassie was pushed off balance by Violet, falling to the ground and hitting her lower back on the edge of the bed, causing her to gasp in pain.
