Chapter 1016 Finding the Real Hannah
Randy looked at Hannah lying on the couch and felt something was off.
Randy thought, 'Logically speaking, Charles liked Hannah so much. How could he just leave her on the couch, all twisted, without even covering her with a blanket? Such an important engagement party, but he just left. Did something happen?'
Randy couldn't figure it out, but he couldn't bear to see Hannah lying on the couch like that. He lifted her leg that was hanging off the edge and then took a blanket from the closet to cover her.
Meanwhile.
Charles had just walked out of the lounge when Lisa blocked his way.
Lisa asked, "Charles, wasn't there supposed to be a segment where both sets of parents go on stage? Why was it suddenly canceled? You didn't even tell us in advance. Look, I was all prepared."
Lisa thought, 'What a moment to show off! As long as I stand on the stage, all the eyes on me will be filled with envy. Such an honor, how many people dream of it. I have been waiting for this moment for a long time. I have been eagerly waiting under the stage, ready to be invited up by the host. But it's canceled just like that. Others don't even know I'm the mother of Charles' fiancée!'
Charles glanced at his siblings who had followed him out. Feeling preoccupied and without time to explain, he hurriedly said, "Something urgent came up. I have to leave immediately!"
Then he looked at Fannie and Maria. "You take care of Hannah's mom for me, and I'll be back soon!"
He then told Declan, "You and mom keep an eye on the banquet hall. Call me if anything happens."
Saying this, he glanced at his watch. "I really have to go! I'm leaving this to you."
With that, he ignored Lisa's calls and left without looking back.
Lisa felt baffled and angry. "What on earth is going on? Today is his big engagement day with Hannah, but he just leaves everyone behind. What is that about!"
Fannie quickly comforted her, "Charles is a very responsible person. It must be something really important! He'll definitely come back as soon as it's handled! Come on, let me take you inside for some delicious food!"
Saying this, she took Lisa's hand and forcibly led her back to the banquet hall.
Patricia stood at the entrance of the banquet hall, a look of worry flashing in her eyes.
Patricia thought, 'Why is Violet so stubborn! If this drags on, how can it be good? If Violet were an ordinary woman, it would be easier to deal with. But the key is, she's Carter's daughter. Our families are too closely tied, making this matter even harder to handle.'
After getting in the elevator, Charles called Martin.
Martin answered immediately.
Charles asked, "Dad, where are you now?"
"I'm in the hotel's surveillance room, reviewing the footage!"
Charles said, "I'm coming over right now!"
Without further words, Charles hung up and took the elevator to the fifteenth floor, finding the surveillance room.
Martin was intently watching the surveillance footage. Hearing the door open, he glanced back, saw it was Charles, and then turned his attention back to the screen.
Martin said, "Alan has already stationed people at all the hotel exits! Because we don't know the exact time of the switch, reviewing the footage is a bit tricky!"
Charles walked over to Martin, staring at the surveillance footage, deep in thought.
Martin continued, "Carter definitely wouldn't help her. If he knew she was going to do this, he would have stopped her. So she must have done it behind Carter's back. She's alone and her abilities are limited. Hannah should still be in the hotel. We just don't know where she hid Hannah."
Charles' eyes darkened. "Not necessarily! Carter won't help her, but she can hire someone to help."
Saying this, he thought of something and asked the security guard in the surveillance room, "Do you have a computer here?"
Martin immediately guessed his intention, "You want to check if there's been any large transactions in her account recently?"
Charles nodded, gritting his teeth. "Last time she used her own bank account to deal with traffickers, but she probably won't use her own account to deal with others this time."
If he had known, he wouldn't have exposed her back then.
Now he was in this predicament.
The security guard nodded quickly, pointing to a computer in the corner. "Yes, it's over there! We usually watch TV on it during breaks."
Actually, it was used for slacking off at work.
Charles didn't point it out, walked over, turned on the computer, installed the software, and directly hacked into Violet's bank account.
Sure enough, Violet's bank account transactions were normal.
During her time in the mental hospital, there were no transactions.
Only in the past two days were there a few small transactions, just ordinary purchases, nothing unusual.
Martin walked over, saying in a deep voice, "I've already sent Alan to check the street surveillance. If Hannah was taken out of the hotel, the street surveillance should show it."
Charles clenched his jaw, veins bulging on his forehead, and slammed his fist on the table in anger. "Damn it! I should have stayed with her all the time."
Otherwise, he wouldn't even know when Hannah was switched.
Martin patted his shoulder to comfort him. "Don't worry! Seven years ago, Violet disappeared because you weren't around! This time you're here, so you'll definitely find Hannah."
Martin didn't know if Charles heard it. After Martin said, Charles took out his phone, and called Wyatt. As soon as the call connected, before Wyatt could speak, he asked through gritted teeth, "Isn't Violet in the mental hospital? Why is she here?"
Wyatt immediately sensed something was wrong, knowing something must have happened.
"Those days you were busy with the engagement party, so I didn't want to disturb you! Mr. Moore said he would personally tell you and bring Ms. Moore to apologize to you." After a pause, he cautiously asked, "Mr. Watson, has something happened again?"
Charles was extremely annoyed, his temples throbbing. He said nothing and hung up the phone.
Suddenly, he thought of something and told the security guard a time, "Adjust the surveillance video to this time period! Before that, I can guarantee it was Hannah. The switch must have happened during that time! Narrow the time range."
With a range, it became much easier.
The security guard adjusted the surveillance footage according to Charles' time.
After watching for a while, the door of the surveillance room was knocked again.
Carter and Lassie walked in anxiously.
Carter said, "Violet is missing! You need to station guards at all the hotel exits to prevent her from causing trouble."
Mentioning Violet made Charles' face darken. His face looked extremely grim.
Charles ignored them, continuing to review the surveillance footage with the security guard.
At this moment, he didn't want to think about anything else, just wanted to find Hannah.
As for Violet, once he found Hannah, he would deal with her slowly.
