Chapter 1064 Revisiting Familiar Places

Wyatt tentatively asked, "Mr. Watson, should we continue investigating Tina's social network? Maybe we can find some clues."

Other than her social network, there was no investigative value left in Tina. Even if they continued investigating, it would just be a waste of time.

Charles said, "Investigate. Look into everyone she's been in contact with recently! I need to screen them one by one!"

Although the task would be enormous, for Hannah, no matter how long it took, he would investigate thoroughly. Maybe he could find some useful clues.

Wyatt said, "Alright, I'll send someone to investigate right away."

Suddenly, Charles remembered something and added, "And also check her interactions with Violet. See if they have any private dealings."

"Got it!"

After ending the call, Charles leaned against the wall, exhausted, and closed his eyes, trying to give his brain a brief rest.

But once he closed his eyes, his mind became even more chaotic. The events of recent times flashed through his mind like movie clips.

Hannah. Tina. Austin. And the information Wyatt had gathered. Everything, like a few threads, kept spinning in his head, eventually forming a ball that grew larger and more chaotic.

He quietly closed his eyes for a while, then shook his head vigorously to clear his mind, took a deep breath, adjusted his emotions, and returned to the hospital room.

Hannah was already awake, leaning against the bed, holding a blanket, and looking warily at Stella and Randy.Ryan and Martin had gone to see Carter. Hannah's body was fine, but Carter hadn't woken up, and they were worried about him, so they went directly to see him.

With Charles, Randy, and Stella here, it was enough to take care of Hannah.

Charles walked over and asked, "What happened?"

Stella slumped her shoulders in frustration and sat on the couch, feeling so exhausted that she didn't want to say a word.

Randy just shrugged helplessly at Charles.

Seeing Charles come in, Hannah immediately put down the blanket. "Where's Tina? I want to see Tina. Where did you take her? I want to see Tina."

Charles didn't know what to say. At this moment, Stella finally spoke up, "Since she woke up, she's been insisting on seeing Tina. No matter how we try to persuade her, she won't listen! Besides Tina, she has no other concerns."

Thinking about how close Hannah was to another woman now, Stella felt a bit jealous. They were supposed to be best friends. Now it was Tina. How could she not be angry?

Charles sat down by the bed and said softly, "Didn't she tell you? She has something to take care of right now and doesn't have time. She'll come to see you in a while."

Hearing his words, Hannah just shook her head and said blankly, "She didn't say that. You're lying to me again! You big liar! I want to see Tina. Did you do something to Tina? I want to see Tina!"

Charles's brow furrowed slightly as he carefully observed Hannah. What was going on? Why did it seem like Hannah was more dependent on Tina than before? And she seemed to have forgotten about meeting Tina yesterday and their conversation.

To confirm his suspicion, Charles tentatively asked, "Do you remember Tina coming to see you yesterday?"

Hannah blinked. "Did Tina come to see me yesterday? When? You think I'm naive and easy to fool. You never brought her to see me."

As soon as she said this, the room fell silent. Randy and Stella exchanged puzzled looks.

Charles asked again, "Do you remember Lassie? She recently recognized you as her goddaughter."

Hannah blinked again. "Who?"

Then her expression turned strange, and she said sympathetically, "Are you having memory problems? How could I randomly recognize someone as my godmother?"

Charles, Randy, and Stella all fell silent.

After getting a definite answer, Charles felt a deep sense of helplessness envelop him.

Tina had hypnotized Hannah again in front of him yesterday. Once again, she had erased unnecessary memories from Hannah's mind, making Hannah more dependent on her, unable to leave her.

Tina had been so fearless while being detained because she had a strong hold over Hannah, knowing that he wouldn't dare do anything to her for Hannah's sake. The more Hannah depended on her, the more leverage she had.

Damn it. He had always been successful in business, but today he was defeated by a woman.

Stella walked up to Charles and asked in surprise, "Charles, what's wrong with Hannah? How could she forget what happened yesterday?"

Charles suddenly lost the strength to speak. He reached out to hold Hannah's hand, but she pulled away.

Charles had anticipated this and wasn't angry. He awkwardly withdrew his hand and said to Randy, "Randy, contact the airline and arrange a flight. I want to take Hannah back to Country D."

Randy was taken aback. "Back to Country D? I thought we were going to Sunset Bay."

Charles said thoughtfully, "Hannah didn't leave many traces in Sunset Bay. I'll take her to Country D first and visit all the places we went together to see if it jogs her memory."

He couldn't sit idly by any longer; he had to do something. Maybe taking Hannah to revisit old places would help her remember. So she wouldn't always be threatened by Tina.

Hannah knew that the "Hannah" he was talking about was herself. She couldn't help but feel irritated.

"I told you, I'm not Hannah. My name is Evelyn! I don't know you, and I'm not going to Country D with you. I'm from Country H. I want to see Tina. If I can't see Tina, I'm not going anywhere."

Charles patiently coaxed, "Be good and listen! I'll take you to Country D first, and once Tina is done with her business, she'll come to Country D to see you."

Hannah shook her head vigorously. "I don't believe you! You're a liar, always lying to me!"

Charles knew she was very wary of him now and only trusted Tina, so he said, "How about this, I'll have her call you and tell you herself, okay?"

He couldn't let them meet. But a phone call was possible. And who said the call had to be from Tina herself? He could find the best voice actor to impersonate Tina.

Sure enough, when she heard that she could talk to Tina on the phone, Hannah's eyes lit up. "Really? You'll really have Tina call me?"

Charles glanced at the untouched breakfast on the bedside table and nodded. "Eat your breakfast, and I'll go find her and have her call you."

Hannah nodded vigorously and immediately picked up the breakfast on the bedside table and started eating.

As Charles left the room, Stella followed him out. "Charles, are you really going to let Hannah talk to Tina? Tina is like a witch. What if she hypnotizes Hannah over the phone? She's so unpredictable."
