Chapter 701 From Friendship to Hostile Relationship

Patricia disappeared, and when Sebastian learned this news, it was already the early morning of the second day.

Sebastian immediately sent everyone out to conduct a thorough search.

Unfortunately, there was still no news. Patricia seemed to have disappeared out of thin air.

As the time of Patricia's disappearance grew longer, Sebastian became more and more worried.

Upon learning of Patricia's situation, Martin rushed to Country Y, while Kaleb rushed to Country D.

Luckily, Martin was prepared and used the hairpin given to Patricia to locate her directly.

Meanwhile, Kaleb barged into the Hill Residence and grabbed Joe by the collar.

"Give my daughter back to me!" Kaleb said angrily.

Joe looked at him expressionlessly. "Your daughter?"

Joe sneered. "You instigated Carol to switch Patricia and then left Country D overnight. Kaleb, I have to ask you, where do you get the courage? Do you even respect me as the Prime Minister?"

Kaleb was extremely angry, veins popping on his forehead.

"It's all because of your stubbornness. Despite so much evidence showing that Patricia is not the culprit, you insist that Patricia killed Billy. If it weren't for your stubbornness and radical actions, would I have come up with this plan?" Kaleb retorted.

Joe mocked. "Do you mean it's me who forced you to do this?"

Kaleb was infuriated by Joe's nonchalant demeanor.

"I'm not here to argue with you! I only want to know that are you releasing Patricia or not?"

Joe Hill retorted, "Has Patricia disappeared?"

Kaleb, barely suppressing his urge to punch Joe, replied, "Are you still pretending to be clueless?"

Joe Hill chuckled merrily, clapping his hands.

"That's great. Her disappearance suits me just fine! I hope she would be murdered, too. She should go to hell to accompany Billy, hence saving me the effort of dealing with it myself."

Kaleb couldn't bear it anymore and raised his fist, striking Joe's face.

Joe was knocked down by Kaleb, and all the grievances, anger, and hatred of the past days erupted at that moment. He quickly got up from the ground, rushed to Kaleb, pinned him down, raised his fist, and struck at Kaleb's face.

Kaleb groaned in pain, grabbed Joe's collar defiantly, and flipped him over, pressing Joe to the ground.

Joe and Kaleb fought each other fiercely.

The nearby servants were frightened and immediately tried to separate Joe and Kaleb.

However, Joe and Kaleb were already engaged in a fierce fight, and no matter how hard the servants tried to pull them apart, they couldn't. Punches were thrown back and forth mercilessly, creating chaos in the room.

This scene was also captured by surveillance and transmitted to Hunter's phone.

Watching Kaleb fight Joe for Patricia, tears streamed down Patricia's face, feeling terrified that Hunter could monitor every move at them.

Seeing Patricia cry, Hunter felt a mix of joy and heartache.

He first wiped Patricia's tears, but suddenly grabbed her by the neck and pressed her against the wall.

"Why are you crying? Do you know how much it hurt me when I found out you poisoned me?" Hunter questioned as he gripped her by the throat.

Due to lack of oxygen, Patricia's face turned red, eyes bloodshot.

She tightly grasped Hunter's arm, filled with anger, and said, "You deserve it! You've done so many despicable things, and you deserve any punishment that comes your way."

Hunter had already lost his mind.

Upon hearing Patricia's words, instead of getting angry, he laughed.

"Is that so? But I'm living just fine! I've even toyed with all of you! Isn't it fun to be played by a scoundrel like me?"

Struggling to breathe, Patricia said, "Hunter, you will face consequences! You will not have a good ending."

Seeing Patricia's face turn red, Hunter seemed to suddenly wake up and let go of her.

Patricia, now breathless, slid down the wall, coughing from the forced cold air entering her lungs.

Hunter tenderly held Patricia's face, apologized repeatedly, and then hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. It's because I love you too much that I hate you. Why did you treat me like that? Why? Do you know how much I love you? I would give up anything for you, why do you like Martin? Why can't you even look at me? Why?"

As he spoke, he became more agitated, pulling Patricia out of his arms and slapping her hard.

Patricia's face swelled on one side, her mouth bleeding, and her ears ringing.

After venting his grievances and anger, Hunter's emotions gradually stabilized. He stood up slowly, straightened his clothes, and said, "I've said it before, I will never give up on you! If you dare to commit suicide, I will kill Martin and your five children."

With that, he turned to leave.

Just as he reached the door, Patricia's voice suddenly sounded from behind.

"Did you kill Billy, Hunter?"

Hunter neither confirmed nor denied, standing at the door with his back to Patricia.

Assuming Hunter's silence as confirmation, Patricia struggled to get up from the ground, approaching Hunter step by step. "That day, you lured me to Neon Bridge. When I wanted to pat your back, you pretended to fall off."

Previously, Patricia couldn't figure it out how Billy died and who killed him.

If Billy had died long ago, then who did Patricia see on Neon Bridge?

Why did that person frame her?

It wasn't until she saw Hunter that all of Patricia's doubts were resolved.

Billy was killed by Hunter.

It was Hunter who framed Patricia and wanted to kill her.

Hunter still didn't answer.

Patricia's voice involuntarily raised, "Why did you do this? The person you hate is me. Why did you kill Billy? He was innocent! ."

Patricia's last words struck a chord with Hunter.

Suddenly turning around, Hunter exclaimed, "Yes, I hate you! But I never thought of killing you. I carefully orchestrated all this just to be with you."

Hunter's words indirectly confirmed all of Patricia's suspicions.

Grabbing Hunter's clothes, Patricia fiercely beat him.

"You scoundrel, why did you kill so many innocent people? If it weren't for you, Billy wouldn't have died, my father wouldn't have turned against Mr. Hill, and I wouldn't have to hide. You bastard."

Hunter didn't resist, allowing Patricia to hit him.

"Whatever! But I warn you, you better not think about escaping from me, or there will be even more deaths."

With that, he turned and walked away.

Patricia still had many unanswered questions and continued to ask, "How did you kill Billy? Where did he really die? What is your relationship with Billy?"

With Billy's skills, only someone familiar or highly skilled could have killed him.

Obviously, Hunter was no match for Billy.

So, it must have been someone familiar who did it.

Could it be that Hunter and Billy knew each other?

Or was there some other connection between them?
