Chapter 705 Illegitimate Child
With such a long bloodstain, if it were someone else, they would have screamed in pain long ago, but Hunter didn't even furrow his brow, as if that cut wasn't on Hunter.
Sebastian was a bit surprised. "Quite stubborn!"
As the words fell, three white lights flashed.
Three more bloodstains appeared on Hunter.
The bright red blood rushed outward.
The strong smell of blood spread in the air.
When Sebastian acted, there was no mercy at all.
The wound was deep and long.
The entire flesh was already exposed. The bones inside could alomost be seen.
Even so, beads of sweat had already formed on his forehead, but Hunter still just slightly frowned lips tightly pursed into a line, not making a sound.
The usually good-tempered Sebastian was also provoked.
Throwing down the knife in his hand, he pressed Hunter to the ground, raining down punches and kicks.
Each punch was solid.
Hunter gritted his teeth, curled up, silently enduring.
Sebastian got a bit tired from the beating, and Hunter was all battered, but he still didn't speak.
Martin realized that it didn't work.
Hunter was truly not going to tell the truth.
No matter how much Sebastian and the others beat him, Hunter wouldn't reveal the truth, so Martin stopped Sebastian.
"Sebastian, stop beating him. If you continue, Hunter will really be beaten to death!"
Sebastian was very angry, grabbing Hunter's collar. "Will you speak or not?"
Hunter, like a boneless snake, let Sebastian twist him, weakly saying, "I won't speak! Even if you kill me, I won't speak."
Hunter still had that indifferent expression.
If Hunter had cried and begged for mercy, Martin, Sebastian, and Joe would have vented their anger and felt relieved, but Hunter's apparent indifference made them feel even more frustrated.
It was like a growing sense of frustration and anger, as if it could explode at any moment.
They were angry, but they had no way with Hunter.
Hunter was beaten black and blue, but he still smiled.
The smile carried endless mockery, as if mocking their helplessness.
Martin knew Hunter's intentions. Hunter was deliberate, and to thwart his plans, Martin spoke up, "Let's go back. If he won't tell the truth, it doesn't matter. It's already confirmed that Billy was killed by him. The process is no longer important! Whether to settle this privately or go to court, let's discuss it when we get back."
To settle privately meant killing Hunter.
Going to court meant taking Hunter to the police station for legal consequences.
No matter how many bad things Hunter had done, they couldn't make up for his actions.
Sebastian angrily threw Hunter out and began to straighten his clothes in irritation.
"You're right. He has already admitted it!"
Martin patted Sebastian's shoulder reassuringly and glanced at Joe.
Receiving Martin's look, Joe walked toward the door without looking back.
Martin and Sebastian followed calmly.
As Martin, Sebastian, and Joe approached the wine cellar door, Hunter finally spoke, "Don't you want to know the truth? I'll tell you."
Despite being severely injured and weak, Hunter's words were still audible to them.
They paused for a moment at Hunter's words, then continued toward the door without hesitation.
Hunter continued to goad them. "Don't you want to know the truth anymore?"
Martin seemed not to hear, arriving at the wine cellar door.
Joe's hand was on the door handle, about to open it, when Hunter suddenly shouted, "Joe, you've already lost one son, don't you want to care about another son?"
With that sentence, Joe halted his action of opening the door.
Martin, Sebastian, and Joe turned back as if receiving a command, looking at Hunter.
Joe frowned, asking, "What do you mean by that?"
Hunter smirked. "Interpret it literally."
Martin and Sebastian both looked at Joe.
Interpret it literally?
Did Hunter mean that he and Billy were half-brothers?
Was Hunter Joe's illegitimate child?
This revelation was truly unexpected.
Joe hesitated for a moment, then firmly denied. "No way! I have always been upright in my life, never doing anything wrong."
Hunter questioned, "Is that so? Are you really sure?"
With that question from Hunter, Joe became less certain.
After marriage, Joe had been honest and upright, faithful to his wife without any affairs or mistresses outside.
Joe and Susan had a loving relationship, no extramarital affairs.
However, before marriage, Joe had a few relationships.
Could it because of those relationships?
Hunter didn't continue but suddenly burst into laughter like a madman, tears streaming down his face. "I am your son."
Laughter echoed in the wine cellar.
"There's no way."
"It can't be."
Joe kept shaking his head in denial, as if something had been revealed; he opened the wine cellar door and fled.
Even though he had fled far, Hunter's laughter still echoed in his ears like a demonic voice, impossible to shake off.
Watching Joe's disheveled departure, Martin and Sebastian exchanged a glance.
Sebastian instructed the bodyguards behind him. "Keep an eye on him; report to me if anything happens! No matter what, ensure he stays alive."
If Hunter truly was Joe's illegitimate child, things could become complicated.
How could Joe possibly kill his own son, no matter how many despicable things Hunter had done!
After leaving the wine cellar, Martin found Kaleb.
Kaleb had just brought a bowl of chicken soup to Patricia in the room. Seeing Martin return, he asked eagerly, "How did the interrogation go? Did he confess?"
Patricia glanced at Martin and could tell from his expression that nothing had been revealed.
"It's okay. If it was easy to get him to confess, he wouldn't be Hunter! Throughout the day I was taken away, no matter how I questioned him, nothing came out. He's very suspicious and alert."
Sitting down next to Patricia, Martin said solemnly, "Just now, Hunter said he is Joe's illegitimate child."
Patricia paused in her soup-drinking.
"What? He's Joe's illegitimate child? How is that possible?"
Martin said seriously, "He said it himself!"
Patricia laughed. "No way! I grew up with him since childhood. He is the illegitimate child of the Miller family. His father is the patriarch of the Miller family, which is the most powerful family in Country M."
"He was brought back to the Miller family when he was in his teens."
"I may not be sure about other things, but I am sure about this. He's lying!" Patricia said.
Hunter was Joe's illegitimate child?
This was truly the most ridiculous joke Patricia had ever heard.
