Chapter 750 Treated in the Same Way

Ariel stood at the apartment door, checking the GPS on her phone one last time before pressing the doorbell.

After a couple of minutes, the door creaked open.

"Who is it? It's so early," a sleepy-eyed woman grumbled, staring at Ariel.

Ariel blinked, momentarily confused. She double-checked her phone.

No mistake. This was the right place.

So why was a woman answering the door?

Layla Rivera rubbed her eyes, and when she finally focused on Ariel, her expression shifted to one of disdain. She crossed her arms and sneered, "Well, well, it is the Koch family's eldest daughter! Finally, we meet."

Ariel's face hardened as she pieced things together.

"I'm here to see Miles," she said coldly.

Just then, a familiar voice called from inside, "Layla, where's our son's school uniform? I can't find it in the closet."

Hearing the word 'son', Ariel's face went pale.

She shoved past Layla and braged inside.

Miles emerged from a room and met Ariel, looking puzzled.

One stood in the living room, the other at the doorway. They just stood face to face.

Ariel suddenly laughed. She laughed until tears streamed down her face.

Ariel cried, "I was such a fool, not knowing you had a lover and a child."

No wonder Miles was so adamant about her not getting pregnant.

He didn't want kids with her. He already had a family.

She felt like the biggest fool in the world, deceived by Miles for years, bringing a wolf into the Koch family.

Miles's eyes fell on her swollen belly.

Miles asked, "Are you pregnant?"

Ariel ignored him. She lunged, grabbing his collar and shaking him, "Why? Why did you deceive me? I treated you so well. My grandpa and brother treated you so well. Why did you hurt them?"

Miles, dizzy from her shaking, pushed her away.

Ariel stumbled but held herself against the wall.

Miles didn't even look concerned. Instead, he asked impatiently, "How did you know I was here?"

Layla sauntered over, smirking, "I saw her holding a phone earlier."

Miles frowned, "Did you put a tracker on me?"

Ariel felt all her strength drain away. She slid down the wall, laughing bitterly through her tears.

Ariel cried, "Ridiculous. Truly ridiculous."

Two years ago, Miles was kidnapped. Though he escaped unharmed, she feared it might happen again. So, every time he got a new phone, she installed a tracker.

Ariel never imagined her concern would turn into the biggest irony.

Now, she realized that kidnapping was probably orchestrated by Miles to swindle money from the Koch family.

Miles looked at painful Ariel without a shred of sorry. Miles said, "Since you found out, let's make it clear. I don't love you. Our first meeting was all part of my plan. The reason you wasn't pregnant is because of me. I could never let you have my child. The only one I love is Layla."

Ariel suddenly realized she never truly knew her husband.

His previous attentiveness and respect for her and Shane were all fake.

He was a despicable man who would stop at nothing to achieve his goals.

Ariel placed her hand on her slightly swollen belly and suddenly regretted keeping the child.

She couldn't bear Miles's child. Absolutely not.

Today, she finally know the truth about Miles.

Holding the wall for support, Ariel slowly got up, wiped her tears with her arm, and took a deep breath. Ariel said, "A man as heartless as you doesn't deserve my sorrow."

Crying over Miles wasn't worth it.

Miles glanced at her belly, "I advise you to get an abortion. Even if you give birth, I won't acknowledge the child."

Ariel's heart felt like it was soaked in ice water, cold to the bone.

Ariel said, "I don't need you to tell me. I won't give birth to him. I will never allow myself to bear the child of a despicable man!"

Miles remained indifferent to her insults.

Miles said, "In that case, you can leave now."

Ariel gave him a cold look but didn't leave. Instead, she began to wander around the house.

Miles and Layla exchanged glances, thinking she was mad. He had made his point clear, yet she still didn't leave.

Ariel walked into the kitchen, saw a fork in the sink that hadn't been washed, and quietly put it in her pocket. Then she pushed past Miles and Layla, checking each room one by one.

Miles followed, "Why don't you leave? I've already told you I don't want you, and you still won't leave?"

Ariel ignored his words. After coming out of the master bedroom, she walked into the children's room and immediately saw Oliver Davis, a little boy, sitting on the bed playing with toys.

Oliver looked about five or six years old and looked exactly like Miles.

Ariel gave a self-mocking smile.

Miles's illegitimate child was already at this age!

And she had no idea about this.

Should she say Miles hid it well, or was she too stupid to have never suspected him?

Seeing a strange woman suddenly barging in, Oliver threw the toy in his hand hard at Ariel's swollen belly. Oliver said, "You can't just come into my room. Get out!"

Ariel looked at Oliver's ferocious face, her eyes gradually turning cold.

Not only did he look like Miles, but his personality was also equally detestable.

Miles couldn't figure out what Ariel was thinking and said impatiently, "Are you going to leave or not? If you don't, don't blame me for hitting you."

Ariel ignored her and walked straight to the bed, pulling Oliver off it.

"What are you doing?" Layla exclaimed, trying to pull her son back, but it was too late. Ariel took the fork out of her pocket and placed it against Oliver's carotid artery.

Miles's nerves suddenly tightened.

Miles shouted, "What are you doing? Let him go."

Ariel looked at him in despair, "So you do know how to care? You do have people you care about? Did you ever think, when you were dealing with my brother and grandfather, that they were people I cared about too?"

Miles glared at Ariel viciously, "What do you want?"

Ariel said expressionlessly, "You are my husband. It was me who open the door to you, causing the Koch family to end up like this. Since this started because of me, it should be resolved by me."

When she came, she originally wanted to discuss things with Miles, hoping he would let the Koch Group go.

At that time, she was still wishful thinking, thinking that Miles had been misled and had made a mistake.

If he could admit his mistakes and change, she could forgive him and give him another chance.

Now it seemed, she didn't need to give him another chance.

He was a complete bastard.

Even if she knelt and begged him, he certainly wouldn't let the Koch Group go.

Rather than being humiliated by him and failing to save the Koch Group, she might as well use despicable means to force him to prove the Koch Group innocent.
