Chapter 1024 Tracking to Austin

When Charles heard the name "Hannah" while eavesdropping in another room, he shuddered.

Sure enough.

As long as he hacked into Violet's computer, he could always find Hannah.

While recording Violet's conversation with the person on the other end of the phone, he also tried to track the other person's whereabouts.

Austin seemed displeased with Violet suddenly mentioning Hannah and said coldly, "It's none of your concern, so you'd better not ask too many questions. Just do your own job."

Violet immediately fell silent.

"I understand," then she replied.

"Good. Now hang up. Don't contact me again. From now on, let's act like we don't know each other."

After saying that, he hung up the phone, not giving Violet a chance to respond.

Violet didn't dare to delay any longer. After putting away her phone, she changed into her outdoor clothes, took her belongings, quietly opened the door, and peeked out.

It was pitch black outside, and there was no one around.

Even the servants had already gone to their rooms to rest.

Violet tiptoed out with her bag, closed the door to make it look like no one had left, and sneaked away.

Little did she know, Charles had already seen everything through the surveillance.

He watched her leave coldly, his hand gripping the mouse so tightly that his knuckles turned white.

After a moment, he took out his phone and called Carter.

The call was quickly answered, and Carter's ashamed and tired voice came through.

"Charles, have you found Hannah?"

Charles said, "Not yet! Violet just tried to drug me, but I avoided it!"

Carter exclaimed in disbelief, "What? She actually tried to drug you."

Charles sneered, "She could kidnap Hannah and switch identities, so it's not surprising she would try to drug me!"

Carter felt so ashamed that he wished he could disappear.

"I'm sorry. If I had known she wouldn't change, I would never have brought her back. She should have stayed in the mental hospital."

Charles said, "Now is not the time to talk about this! She failed to drug me and has already gone back! She knows that by tomorrow morning, we will recognize her, so she sneaked back now to create the illusion that Hannah disappeared suddenly."

Carter gritted his teeth and said, "When she comes back, I'll make sure she regrets it. I shouldn't have brought her back. If I had known, I would have left her there forever."

Charles quickly said, "I'm calling to tell you that when she comes back, you should act like you don't know anything and not expose her."

Carter asked in confusion, "Why?"

Charles explained, "I installed a tracker on her phone. As long as she contacts her accomplice, I can track them immediately. We can't expose her now, or it might alert them."

Carter asked worriedly, "Will that person harm Hannah? What if something happens to her?"

"No!" Charles answered confidently.

If it were daytime, he might still be worried.

But after listening to Violet's conversation with that person, he was 100% sure that person wouldn't harm Hannah.

From the conversation, it was clear that Violet was afraid of that person, and the plan was obviously orchestrated by them. Violet was just following orders.

Although he didn't yet understand that person's motive, the tone when they mentioned Hannah made him confident they didn't dislike her.

That person probably wouldn't harm Hannah for now.

This allowed Charles to calm down temporarily and buy some time to find Hannah.

Carter nodded, "Alright! I know what to do. I'll act like nothing happened. If you need my cooperation, just let me know."

"Okay! Thank you!"

Lassie, sitting next to Carter, roughly guessed what they were talking about from his words. After they finished the call, she eagerly asked, "Does Charles have a way to find Hannah?"

Because of this, they had been sitting in the living room, unable to sleep.

Their minds were filled with thoughts of how to find Hannah.

As long as they could find Hannah, they didn't care if Charles blamed them and never forgave them.

They just wanted Hannah to come back safe and sound.

Although Lassie hadn't known Hannah for long, she genuinely liked her after just a few interactions.

Upon learning that something had happened to her, Lassie felt a faint pain in her heart, a sense of unease, and even a bit of barely noticeable fear.

Carter briefly explained what had happened.

Lassie said nervously, "I understand. I'll act like nothing happened."

As soon as she finished speaking, they heard a faint sound at the door. Then they saw Violet quietly slipping in with her bag, looking around cautiously.

Violet thought everyone at home was asleep, but before she could change her shoes, Lassie and Carter had already walked over.

Carter asked expressionlessly, "Where did you go? Why are you back so late?"

Violet was startled, clutching her chest, her eyes darting around guiltily. She said nervously, "Charles got married, and I was in a bad mood, so I went out to relax."

Carter's gaze was icy.

He struggled to control his anger.

"Go to bed early! From now on, let us know wherever you go. Your mother and I were worried and stayed up all night waiting for you."

"Okay! I understand! Dad, Mom, I'm very tired. I'll go to my room now."

Violet hurried back to her room, not daring to look at Carter and Lassie the whole time.

Violet didn't expect to get away so easily and secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Carter and Lassie exchanged a glance. Although they were very angry, they had no way to deal with Violet.

Sunshine Manor.

Charles sat in front of his computer, inputting the phone number of the person who had talked to Violet, only to find that the number was bought on the black market with no personal information registered.

No information could be found.

And the person had deliberately altered their voice during the call with Violet, making it very difficult to trace the voice.

It was clear that the person was an experienced kidnapper who had taken many precautions to avoid being found by Charles.

After working for a while, Charles barely managed to locate the person's IP address through the call's location.

It was in Country D.

The person was in Country D.

The first face that came to Charles's mind was Austin's.

He didn't know why he thought of Austin, but he had a strong premonition that this matter might be related to Austin.

Charles immediately searched for Austin's whereabouts.

Austin had taken a flight back to Country D at 2 PM.

Based on the timing, he would have landed just in time to match the call with Violet.

Could it be that Austin was really the one conspiring with Violet to kidnap Hannah?
