Chapter 1060 Targeting Hannah Again
When Charles brought Tina to the hospital, it was already an hour later.
He waited until Tina had used ice water to reduce the swelling on her face and had Stella cover it with foundation until there was no trace before taking her to see Hannah.
The moment Hannah saw Tina, she immediately stood up excitedly, ran over, and hugged her. "Tina, I finally see you! Where have you been these past few days? Do you know how much I missed you?"
Seeing how much she liked and relied on Tina, Stella was insanely jealous. Hannah used to be closest to her and trust her the most. But now, everything had changed. Damn bitch, stealing Hannah from her.
Charles was afraid Tina might say something she shouldn't, so he watched her coldly, ready to take her away at the first sign of trouble.
Fortunately, Tina was sensible. Facing Hannah's concern, she patted her back with a smile and said softly, "I've been handling some matters these past few days. How have you been? Are you adjusting well?"
This was the first time everyone had heard her speak in days. Stella even thought she was mute at one point.
Charles was also slightly surprised. He thought Hannah's dependence on Tina was entirely due to hypnosis. But now it seemed, not entirely.
Tina's attitude towards them and towards Hannah was like night and day.
Facing them, even if she were dying, she wouldn't show any emotion or make a sound. But when facing Hannah, she was so gentle.
This kind of care and intimacy didn't seem like an act. It seemed like genuine feelings. It appeared she truly liked Hannah; otherwise, why would she be so good to her?
No matter what he said before, Tina wouldn't utter a word, but now she was so gentle with Hannah.
Hannah let go of her and kept shaking her head. "No, not good at all! I want to go home with you. Tina, let's go home! I'm not sick, but they keep making me stay in the hospital. I hate the smell of disinfectant, I hate the doctors' rounds every day, I want to go home."
Tina's eyes reddened slightly as she gently wiped away Hannah's tears from her eyelashes.
"You were in the water for so long; they're just worried you might feel unwell. It's good to stay in the hospital for a few more days! It's okay, be good!" Her voice was soft and patient, like coaxing a child.
Hannah was very receptive to this, no longer insisting on going home, and grabbed her hand. "I can stay for a few more days, but you have to stay with me! I'm scared to be here alone."
Tina smiled and said, "How are you alone? Aren't they here with you?"
Hannah pouted and shook her head. "No, I don't know them! I want you to stay with me."
Tina hesitated. "But I haven't finished my business yet!"
Hannah frowned, dissatisfied. "What business are you handling? Is it more important than me?"
Her coquettish tone was like a girlfriend being playful with her boyfriend. Charles, Stella, and the others were all shocked.
Tina didn't know what to say. Although she was confident that Charles wouldn't do anything to her for Hannah's sake, she couldn't be sure when they would meet again.
Hannah saw her hesitation and stopped pressing her, instead asking, "When will you be done? When can you take me home? I don't want to stay in the hospital anymore! They draw my blood every day and do all sorts of weird tests! I don't want to have my blood drawn; it hurts! Look at my arm, it's full of needle marks."
As she spoke, she rolled up her sleeve to show Tina the needle marks.
Tina, like comforting a child, blew on the needle marks and said, "It's okay, blowing on it makes it hurt less. Let me blow on it for you."
Stella was even more shocked. She really wanted to curse. This was just not right. This didn't look like they were just friends. It looked like they were a couple.
Tina had two sides: one for them and one for Hannah! She wouldn't even give them a glance, but she was extremely gentle and patient with Hannah.
Stella even began to doubt if the cold Tina from earlier was just her imagination. Tina was really here to steal Charles' fiancée!
Charles looked at Tina with a complex expression, his face showing a hint of intrigue.
For the first time, he saw a woman as a rival in love. This feeling was indescribable.
Tina stayed with Hannah for a while longer. Throughout, everyone watched how Hannah relied on and was close to Tina, and how Tina comforted her.
The atmosphere in the ward became somewhat strange. Ryan couldn't take it anymore and coughed lightly to ease the strange feeling in his heart.
He looked at Charles with great sympathy. This feeling of having a woman as a rival in love could probably only be experienced by Charles. Charles had lived a full life, experiencing everything there was to experience.
Hannah originally wanted Tina to stay with her longer, but after a while, Tina received a look from Charles and used the excuse of having other matters to leave.
Hannah reluctantly held onto her. "You're leaving already? I don't want you to go."
Tina comforted her, "I'll come see you again when I'm free! Be good and stay here, okay?"
"Tina..."Hannah held onto her hand.Tina smiled, reached out to rub her head, and stared into Hannah's eyes.
Hannah seemed entranced, staring back at Tina, her once lively eyes suddenly becoming lifeless.
Charles noticed something was wrong and was about to intervene when Hannah suddenly went limp and collapsed onto the bed, unconscious.
"Hannah," Everyone exclaimed and rushed to the bedside, with Stella immediately checking her condition. "Hannah, what's wrong? Hannah, don't scare me, Hannah."
But Hannah didn't respond at all.
Charles' eyes filled with anger, looking like a demon emerging from the shadows.
He grabbed Tina by the neck and lifted her off the ground. "You've got some nerve, daring to harm Hannah right in front of me."
The last time, when he rescued Hannah at the dock, it was the same. He saw Hannah and Tina look at each other for a moment, and then Hannah fainted, waking up in her current state.
Damn it. He had been careless. How could he have been so stupid to bring Tina to see Hannah? This damn woman, daring to do such a thing right under his nose and ignoring his warnings.
