Chapter 1217 Love at First Sight

Austin and Tina headed to Country S.

Eight years ago, Harper led the kidnappers who took Violet. Their bodies were eventually found, and Harper was sentenced to the death penalty for kidnapping and murder.

Quentin and Lisa got five years in prison for child trafficking.

The Bennett family, dragged down by Harper, got blacklisted by the Moore and Langley families. After two months of struggling, they finally declared bankruptcy.

Things seemed to settle back to normal.

Once Hannah's pregnancy stabilized, she and Charles went to City Hall to get their marriage license.

They planned a simple wedding for a month later.

Since Hannah was pregnant, both sets of parents insisted she take a break from school.

Stella was supposed to handle the paperwork, but after being stuck at home for two days, Hannah was itching to get out and decided to do it herself.

Walking through the campus, Hannah felt like she was in a different world.

It had only been a little over six months since she was last there, but it felt like years had passed.

"Without you at school, I'll be so bored!" Stella pouted, clinging to Hannah's arm.

"Isn't your schedule packed? Besides your classes, you're busy with the news club, learning piano from Randy, and going on tour with him. Do you even have time to miss me?"

Talking about the piano made Stella smile. "True! I've been really busy lately! But I miss the time that we did everything together. It's hard to be apart suddenly."

Hannah said, "What's there to miss? Charles and I are moving to Country D and won't be back for a while. After the wedding at Sunset Bay, we'll head back to Country D.

Charles's career is here, and his roots are here. We can't stay in Sunset Bay forever.

We're newlyweds, so of course, we'll be together! You can visit me anytime you miss me!

Or even stay with us if you want. I'd love the company!"

Stella was surprised. "You're moving to Country D? Will Carter and Lassie agree? You just reunited with them! They won't want to let you go!

Plus, you're carrying the Langley family's child. My aunt won't agree either!"

Hannah laughed, "Of course, they'll miss me! But they'll take turns visiting me.

They know Charles's career is here, and he can't stay in Sunset Bay for long.

Charles has been away from his company for a long time because of Austin. He can't neglect it forever; so many employees depend on him!

We're moving to a new villa in the southern part of the city. We've hired and trained all the staff!"

Charles used to live alone in an apartment, but things were different now.

Hannah was pregnant!

After the baby was born, the apartment wouldn't be enough. He wanted the child to have plenty of space, so they decided to move to a villa he bought years ago.

The villa was huge.

With Hannah pregnant, they wanted to enjoy their time together, but the house needed upkeep, and she needed care, so they hired staff.

Stella's eyes lit up. "Great! Charles's old place had four rooms, but it felt cramped when Randy and I visited.

Now that you're moving to the villa, I can stay with you during my breaks or after my tour."

Hannah was excited. "Yes! I'll be bored alone at home. You can keep me company!"

"Okay!" Stella nodded, but before she could say more, a beautiful piano melody filled the air.

They both stopped.

Stella closed her eyes, listening intently, her expression becoming more and more enchanted. "This is 'Whispers of Stardust,' the first piece I completed on my own after learning from Randy. Wow, this person plays it so well."

Hannah pouted, "Is it that good? Not even close to Randy."

Stella laughed, "Of course, no one can compare to Randy. He's world-famous. But this person plays much better than I did my first time."

Hannah didn't understand her logic.

If it was about playing better than her, many people played better!

Stella suddenly opened her eyes and grabbed Hannah's hand. "Hannah, let's see who's playing!"

Hannah didn't have time to refuse before Stella dragged her away.

They ended up outside a music room on the first floor of the nearby building.

The piano music had come from there.

Stella pulled Hannah to the door, looking at the man sitting at the piano.

He wore a white T-shirt and black pants, sitting straight with his back to the door. Though they couldn't see his face, his attire suggested he was a student at D University.

Golden sunlight streamed through the window, casting a soft glow around him.

Stella was mesmerized.

The man seemed to be practicing. After finishing the piece, he repeatedly tried different notes, dissatisfied with the sound. Eventually, he stopped playing and sat quietly, lost in thought.

Stella waited for a while, but when he didn't move, she couldn't help but speak up. "That was beautiful! Why did you stop?"

The sudden voice startled the man, and he turned around quickly.

Stella finally saw his face.

He had thin lips, slightly pursed, and narrow eyes half-closed, with thick lashes casting shadows below.

His jawline was sharp and clear, leading to his ears, with a long neck and prominent Adam's apple. His shoulders were broad but slim, the white T-shirt partially revealing his collarbone.

In a crowd of men, he would be considered handsome.

But to Hannah, he was ordinary.

She had seen too many handsome men.

Charles, Martin, Tyler, Declan, Austin—any one of them was much more attractive.

Compared to them, he wouldn't stand out at all.

Simply put, he was better than average but not exceptional.

His only advantage was a youthful charm that Charles and the others lacked, giving him a fresh, comfortable vibe.

Seeing the man looking at them, Hannah quickly apologized, embarrassed, and tried to pull Stella away, but Stella was staring at him, entranced.

Hannah said, "What are you doing? Let's go!"

Stella, with starry eyes, said, "Don't you think he's handsome? Especially when he's playing the piano?"

Hannah sighed, "I think you need an eye exam."

Stella was confused.

Hannah urged, "Come on! Don't forget why we're here."

But Stella didn't hear her, her heart set on the man.

The man, seeing her staring, frowned slightly and walked over.

As he approached, Stella's heart raced uncontrollably.
