Chapter 1050 The Same Tactics as Hunter

Martin rolled his eyes at Ryan and sighed inwardly.

Charles looked at Martin and said, "Where is that woman being held now? I want to see her."

Martin replied, "I'll go with you!"

Ryan was about to volunteer to go along when he heard Martin say, "Ryan, you and Randy stay here! Remember, you must guard this place closely. We just managed to find Hannah; we can't lose her again!"

Ryan knew how important Hannah was to Charles, and his expression immediately became serious. "Don't worry, Randy and I will stay right here and make sure Hannah doesn't go missing again."

Although Ryan liked to joke around sometimes, he knew how to handle serious matters. Since he said he would do it, he would definitely follow through.

However, just in case, Martin added, "I've arranged for a few security guards to stay at the door. If anything happens, call them! We don't know if there are more people behind those who took Tina, or how many there are. I trust you and Randy to stay here."

Ryan said, "I understand! You go ahead! Be quick."

Charles took one last reluctant look at the sleeping Hannah before leaving with Martin.

Tina was now being held in a separate cell at the police station. Since she hadn't been convicted yet, it wasn't a formal cell, just a holding area.

Her face mask had been removed, and she sat quietly with her back to the door, looking up at a small window on the wall. Sunlight streamed in through the narrow window, casting a lonely shadow over her.

The police opened the door to the holding area.

The door made a loud noise. But Tina didn't react at all, maintaining her position.

During the more than four months that Charles had lost Hannah, he had harbored deep hatred for the person who took her.

However, seeing that she hadn't harmed Hannah and had taken good care of her, his hatred lessened.

The fact that Hannah relied on her so much and kept asking to see her proved that she genuinely cared for Hannah.

Seeing that she was unwilling to turn around, Charles simply walked up to her.

At that moment, he finally saw Tina's face clearly, and his eyes widened in shock. "Angela!"

It was Angela, the psychologist who had treated Violet in Country D. How could it be her?

He had thought of everyone he knew but never considered that she would be the one to take Hannah. Why did she do it?

Martin looked at Charles in surprise. "You know her?"

Charles replied, "She's the top psychologist who treated Violet in Country D."

Martin's face also showed surprise. "It's her!"

Charles looked down at Tina, who was sitting expressionless on the bed. "I have no grudge against you, and Hannah doesn't even know you. Why did you go to such lengths to take Hannah? What is your purpose?"

Tina acted as if she hadn't heard him, maintaining her position and not even glancing at Charles.

Charles's anger flared up. He suddenly reached out and grabbed her by the neck. "Tell me, what did you do to Hannah? Why doesn't she recognize me at all? Do you have accomplices?"

Tina didn't even flinch, her expression calm.

The calmer she appeared, the angrier Charles became, and he tightened his grip. "Speak, what did you do to Hannah? Why doesn't she recognize me at all?"

Tina's face gradually turned red from lack of oxygen, and the veins on her forehead bulged.

Despite this, she endured without making a sound or begging for mercy. Her endurance and mental strength were far greater than many men.

Charles's anger reached its peak. His eyes turned blood-red, like a beast about to go berserk. "Are you going to talk or not? I don't usually hit women, but if you don't speak, don't blame me for making an exception."

Tina still didn't speak. She seemed like a mute.

If Charles hadn't seen her speak with his own eyes, he would have thought she was deaf and mute.

He was shaking with rage. He knew that with just a little more force, he could break her slender neck. He almost couldn't resist the urge to do so, but fortunately, he retained a shred of rationality and held back.

Martin saw everything and knew that Tina was very stubborn. Even if Charles killed her, she probably wouldn't say a word.

To prevent things from going down a dead end, Martin stepped forward and placed a hand on Charles's shoulder. "Let go."

Charles gritted his teeth. "Dad, she's the one who made Hannah like this."

Martin said, "I know you're angry! But remember, anger won't solve anything! Even if you kill her, Hannah won't recover."

Charles's eyes were bloodshot, and veins bulged on his face. Even though he wanted to kill Tina, he knew that doing so would only make things worse. Tina was the only one who knew how to treat Hannah.

Thinking of Hannah's earlier state, his heart ached, and he finally let go of Tina's neck, gritting his teeth.

Tina coughed lightly, feeling uncomfortable. Despite the red marks on her neck, she showed no reaction, her shoulders slumped, sitting there quietly. She didn't seem curious about her situation or what would happen next.

Martin couldn't help but admire her. She looked like she was in her early twenties, yet she remained so calm in a life-and-death situation. Many men couldn't match her composure. "You used hypnosis on Hannah, didn't you?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Tina's body visibly stiffened for a moment before returning to normal.

Charles's eyes widened in disbelief, not knowing that hypnosis could do that.

Tina's reaction confirmed Martin's suspicion. "Before I saw you, I didn't know why Hannah became like that! But when my son said you were a psychologist, all my doubts were resolved."

This method was exactly the same as the one Hunter had planned to use against Patricia years ago.

If Patricia hadn't had a strong will, they would have been separated by Hunter long ago and wouldn't have the happiness they had now. But Hannah was different.

Hannah was very young, and might not have the same strong will as Patricia did back then.

Such similar methods made Martin even suspect that Hunter might not be dead. But he had clearly seen Hunter cremated with Patricia! Could that have been faked?
