Chapter 757 Evidence of Miles's Crimes
On the other side of the computer, Isadora had no clue the email wasn't from Miles. Even though the reply was short, the urgency and excitement were clear.
Isadora typed, "Where'd you get the video?"
Messages started flooding in.
"Are my parents, wife, and kids with Riley?"
"Where are they?"
"When you first asked me to work with you, you didn't say Riley would threaten me like this."
"What do I do now?"
"I have to save them! Please, help me!"
Sebastian, Riley, and Martin exchanged looks as the messages kept coming.
Sebastian hovered over the keyboard, "Should I tell him to surrender to Riley?"
Before they could decide, another message popped up.
Isadora asked, "Is there any way to save them without Riley knowing? I can't give myself in. My life would be over!"
Martin stopped Sebastian, "This is the ultimate test. If he chooses himself, all our efforts are wasted."
Riley nodded, "Martin's right. The fact he's asking means he's hesitating. Hesitation means uncertainty."
Isadora's willingness to even consider this showed how selfish he was.
Testing a selfish person's humanity was a joke.
Sebastian frowned, "So, what now?"
They couldn't waste all their work.
Martin grinned, "If he won't surrender, let's trap him. Give him the address of the suburban villa and pull the guards."
Sebastian got it, "You mean, entrap him?"
Martin's eyes narrowed, his smile cold, "Will he believe it?"
Martin sneered, "Someone who wants to save his family but is too selfish to risk himself will definitely take the bait."
Sebastian saw Martin understood human nature well, something the Koch family lacked. They always saw the best in people, rarely the worst, which was related to their growing environment.
Agreeing with Martin, Sebastian sent the villa address to Isadora.
That night, the heavily guarded villa was left unprotected.
The villa was black.
Using the password 'Miles' gave him, Isadora got in and found the key under a stone by the first osmanthus tree on the left.
With the key, he entered the villa.
Too scared to be found and turn on the lights, he used his phone's flashlight and crept upstairs, heading to the room at the end of the right hallway.
'Miles' said Jaxon and Natalie were on the right, Aurora and Cameron on the left.
He'd save Jaxon and Natalie first, then Aurora and Cameron.
Other relatives didn't matter to Isadora.
He quietly opened the door.
Suddenly, the room's lights flicked on.
The room lit up instantly.
Isadora was shocked. He saw not just Jaxon and Natalie, but also three bodyguards, Riley, Sebastian, and Martin.
Jaxon and Natalie were tied up on the floor, gagged with towels, unable to speaking. Their eyes were red, filled with words they couldn't say, desperately signaling Isadora with their eyes.
Isadora realized he'd walked into a trap. His forehead veins bulged as he gritted his teeth, "He actually dared to entrap me?"
Riley smirked, "In the end, we are family! Did you really think he'd choose you over the Koch family? He already told me everything! You sold the Koch Group's jewelry designs to him at a high price, and the idea of counterfeiting was yours."
Isadora immediately believed Miles had betrayed him. Isadora said, "I admit, I sold the designs to Miles! At most, I'm guilty of stealing company secrets! But he's been buying and selling those designs for years, counterfeiting, plagiarizing, and accusing the Koch Group of plagiarism, tanking their stock! His crimes are much worse than mine! You can't pin it all on me."
Riley raised eyebrows, mocking, "Really? Unfortunately, it's not up to you! Do you think we'd believe you over our own family?"
In his panic, Isadora blurted out, "I have evidence of his crimes. I can prove my innocence!"
Riley had been waiting for this. He exchanged a look with Sebastian and smiled, "I don't believe you!"
Isadora pulled a USB flash disk from his pocket, "I'm telling the truth! This has all my transaction records, chat logs, and remittance records with him! The chat logs prove he was the mastermind!"
Selling company secrets might get him three years in prison and blacklisted from the industry. But being the mastermind was a much bigger deal.
Sebastian walked over, took the USB flash disk, and plugged it into a laptop they had ready.
'Even brought a laptop?' He thought. Isadora felt more duped than ever.
Sebastian opened the USB flash disk. It had all the evidence of Miles's crimes, meticulously documented.
They could now use the law to nail Miles and clear the Koch Group's name this time.
Looking at his parents tied up, Isadora angrily said, "Now you can release my parents, wife, and kids, right? They're innocent!"
Riley waved his hand, and the bodyguards untied Jaxon and Natalie. Once free, they removed the towels from their mouths, ran to Isadora, and tried to leave, only to be blocked by the bodyguards at the door.
After confirming the evidence, Sebastian closed the laptop and pocketed the USB flash disk.
Riley said, "Just relax. I never harm innocent people!"
He then instructed, "Release Isadora's parents, and all unrelated friends and family! Take Isadora away!"
Jaxon immediately shielded Isadora, "No, you can't take my son. If you do, I'll fight you."
But no matter how much Jaxon protested, he could only watch helplessly as Isadora was taken away.
All unrelated individuals held in the villa were released and set free.
