Chapter 1042 Located Hannah

Austin's first action upon arriving was to check on Hannah in her room. After confirming she was safe and unharmed, he felt relieved.

To avoid waking her, he carefully closed the door and joined Tina in the living room. "What exactly happened? Was there anything unusual?"

Tina explained the entire situation in detail. "I tracked Hannah's location through her necklace and found she was at the police station. I rushed over and learned from other officers that she had been taken to an office for a photo. I got there as quickly as I could, but I was still a step too late."

Hearing this, Austin's breath caught. "You mean, she was photographed?"

Once photographed, Charles would definitely be able to locate her immediately. Damn it. Just one night of not keeping an eye on Hannah, and such a big issue arose.

Tina quickly reassured him, "Don't worry. She was photographed, but I got there in time, and the officer's hand shook, resulting in a blurry image. You can't even tell it's her. I doubt Charles's software can recognize it either, which is why I didn't rush to tell you."

Austin rubbed his face vigorously.

After a moment of thought, he abruptly stood up from the couch. "No, I only know that Charles is using this to find Hannah, but I'm not sure how advanced his technology is. If he gets any information, he'll come here immediately. You need to take Hannah and leave here right away. The sooner, the better."

Tina didn't ask further questions. She always followed Austin's instructions without question. If he said so, it meant there was indeed a risk.

"Alright, I'll move Hannah out immediately! But..." She hesitated, "But, Country H is so small. If Charles really locates Hannah, he could easily track us down through surveillance cameras. Is it still safe to stay in the country?"

Austin sat on the couch, elbows on his knees, hunched over, face in his hands.

Tina was right. Country H was so small, even smaller than Sunset Bay in Country Z. If Charles pinpointed Hannah's location, finding her in Country H would be much easier than in Sunset Bay.

Especially since Hannah had met so many people during her disappearance. Her behavior was also unusual. A little inquiry could easily lead to her.

He had been too complacent lately. They had painstakingly evaded capture for four months, but from the moment Carter appeared, everything started to slip out of his control.

Seeing him silent, Tina sat beside him and softly said, "Actually, it would be easy to leave! There are so many countries in the world; I could take her to one of the countries I stayed in before."

After some internal struggle, Austin finally made up his mind. "Charles is too smart. I can't allow any mistakes! So, you need to take Hannah and leave the country immediately."

Tina asked, "Where should I take her?"

Austin had already thought it through. "Go to Country F. The Langley family, the Reed family, the Koch family, and Charles's IntelliMerge Technologies Company have businesses all over the world, but not in Country F. They have just started expanding there, so it's currently the safest place. Plus, you speak the language of Country F, and Hannah learned it too, so you won't have any communication issues there."

Tina readily agreed, "Alright! I'll pack our bags right away!"

Austin added, "You should smuggle yourselves over first. I'll figure out the identity issues!"

Tina sighed. "We worked so hard to get our current identities, and now it's all for nothing!"

The road ahead was long. If Charles kept pursuing them relentlessly, they might spend the rest of their days on the run.

A day or two, a year or two might be manageable. But over time, nobody knew if Hannah's body could handle it.

Austin gritted his teeth. "It's all Charles's fault. If he hadn't been relentlessly pursuing us, I wouldn't have to hide everywhere! There are so many women in the world; why does he have to compete with me for Hannah? Didn't he used to like Violet a lot? Now that Violet is back with him, why is he still indifferent and fighting me for Hannah?"

Tina sat quietly, not saying a word, sighing inwardly. If Charles was stubborn, so was Austin. And so was she!

She had loved Austin for so long, yet his heart and mind were always on Hannah.

Hannah loved Charles so much, and Austin went to great lengths, even hiding and running, just to keep Hannah by his side.

They were all the same kind of people. Once they set their hearts on someone, it was for life, and they would do anything for that person.

Austin composed himself and patted Tina's shoulder. "I'll go stay with Hannah in the room. You pack the bags, and I'll handle the rest."

"Okay!" Tina nodded and was about to leave when Austin suddenly remembered something and grabbed her hand. "Did you take precautions earlier? You weren't caught on surveillance, were you?"

Tina looked at his hand holding hers, her heart racing. "Don't worry, I wore a mask and hat on the way, and I avoided surveillance cameras at the police station. When I left, I hypnotized the officers who saw me. They remember me being there but not what I look like. I won't be exposed."

Only then did Austin breathe a sigh of relief and let go of her hand.

Tina could still feel the warmth of his touch on her hand, her fingers twitching slightly as if savoring the sensation.

"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing. I'll only help you, not drag you down." With that, Tina reluctantly turned and went to pack.

They had been living out of suitcases for a while, so it didn't take long to pack.

Austin sat by Hannah's bed, looking at her sleeping face, his eyes full of tenderness. "Just wait a little longer! Soon, we can be together openly. No more sneaking around, no more hiding."

Sleeping Hannah didn't respond.

Austin continued, "Why do you like Charles? Why don't you like me? If you liked me, none of this would have happened, and you wouldn't have to be on the run, without a home."

"Once you completely forget Charles, we can start over! It will happen." He didn't know if he was comforting himself or hypnotizing himself. But it was the only thing keeping him going right now.

Austin didn't dare stay too long. Once Tina finished packing, they left.

Sunset Bay. Sunshine Manor.

Charles had just drunk a lot of alcohol and was sitting on the floor, leaning against the bed, half-asleep. In his daze, the computer emitted a rapid alarm.

All his sleepiness vanished instantly, and the alcohol haze cleared. He sat up straight, excited to stand, but his legs were numb from sitting awkwardly for too long. As he tried to stand, he fell back down.

The computer continued its urgent alarm.

"Hannah, Hannah." A glimmer of hope ignited in Charles's eyes. He clung to the bed, struggling to stand. But his legs were too numb.

Lack of exercise and the lingering effects of alcohol made his tall frame wobbly and unstable. Just as he was about to fall again, Randy walked in and caught him.

"Charles, you're finally awake." Seeing him get up from the floor, Randy smiled with relief.

Charles didn't have time to explain, leaning on Randy's hand, he staggered towards the computer.

After all this time, since he had ruled out everyone who looked like Hannah but wasn't, the computer had been silent for a month.

Now there was activity again. It had to be Hannah. The computer had located Hannah.
