Chapter 1108 Violet Was Dead

Sunshine Manor.

Martin, Patricia, Randy, and Stella had just returned home when Martin received a call from Alan.

"Mr. Langley, we found Violet!"

Martin raised an eyebrow. "Found her?"

Alan said they found her, not that they caught her. Could something have happened?

Quickly, Alan confirmed Martin's suspicion. "She's dead. Someone found her dead on the rooftop of an old apartment building!"

Martin's eyes narrowed. "Got it. I'm heading over right now! Send me the location!"

"Okay!"

After ending the call, before Martin could speak, Patricia asked, "Did they catch Violet?"

Although she couldn't hear what Alan said, she could guess from Martin's expression and words.

Hearing that Violet was caught, Stella immediately got excited. "Where is that bitch now? She dared to hit Hannah with her car. I'm going to make her pay today."

Martin said in a deep voice, "She's dead!"

The simple statement stunned everyone present. Especially Stella, who had been rolling up her sleeves, ready to give Violet a good beating, only to hear that Violet was dead.

"Really? That woman is so cunning, she might be faking it and planning to escape abroad."

Martin patiently said, "There shouldn't be any mistake! I'll go check it out now. We'll know for sure once we see."

Stella immediately volunteered, "I want to go. I need to see with my own eyes if she's really dead."

Patricia also said, "I'll go too! There are many things I haven't figured out. I want to see for myself to feel at ease."

Randy wasn't interested initially, but seeing everyone else going, he had no choice but to follow.

Before Martin arrived, the scene remained untouched. Stella immediately saw Violet lying in a pool of blood.

Violet's eyes were wide open, and there were three stab wounds on her stomach. She had bled out almost completely, with blood all over the ground.

Because she had lost so much blood and the building was old, the blood seeped through the cracks, and someone living downstairs saw it. That person was about to call the police when Alan's people arrived.

Her death was gruesome, especially her eyes, which were wide open in death.

Stella's gaze inadvertently met her eyes, and she screamed in fright. She tripped over her own feet and almost fell, but Randy caught her steadily from behind.

Then, Randy's gentle voice sounded above her head. "If you're scared, I'll take you back first."

Stella stubbornly shook her head. "No, I want to see! She's so vicious and cunning, how do I know she's not faking it?"

Randy remained silent. He actually wanted to say that the possibility of Violet faking her death was zero. Her death was so tragic, clearly a result of premeditated murder.

The killer was ruthless, stabbing her not once but twice more. What kind of deep-seated hatred could drive someone to do this to Violet?

Seeing that Stella refused to leave, Randy said, "Then I'll go with you! I'll hold your hand."

As he spoke, he extended his palm to Stella. Without much thought, Stella placed her hand in Randy's palm.

Randy's eyes flickered, and his expression softened visibly. He held Stella's hand and carefully avoided the blood on the ground as they approached Violet.

Martin was examining the situation. He first checked the wounds on Violet's stomach, then her pulse and carotid artery.

"The wounds on her stomach are deep, each one hitting vital organs. Her pulse and carotid artery are not beating, and her body is cold. She's definitely dead."

Hearing this, Stella felt indignant. "Dead? She's really dead? She caused so much harm to Hannah, and she just dies so easily? I haven't even avenged Hannah yet!"

She had thought of many ways to get revenge. But she never imagined that the next time she saw Violet, Violet would be a corpse.

Hannah was still lying in the ICU, her life hanging by a thread because of Violet, and now Violet was dead.

Stella felt no pity, only resentment. Stella resented that Violet died too easily.

From the time Violet was stabbed to her death, it probably only took a few minutes. Someone like Violet should have had her flesh cut piece by piece, making her suffer for seven days, watching her life slowly slip away.

Alan, standing to the side, asked, "What should we do now? Should we inform Mrs. Moore about this?"

Patricia said, "Of course, we need to tell her! Even though she knows this Violet is an imposter, we know nothing about this fake Violet except for that. The only relative this fake Violet has is Lassie."

Martin nodded in agreement and gave Alan a look. Alan took out his phone and called Lassie.

When Lassie received Alan's call, she thought he had caught Violet. Her voice was hoarse from not speaking for a long time. "Did you catch Violet?"

Alan paused, carefully choosing his words to avoid sounding abrupt and to minimize Lassie's grief. "We found Ms. Moore, but she was murdered. Given her unique situation, you're the only relative we could contact. Would you like to come over?"

Upon hearing the word 'murdered,' Lassie thought she had misheard. She was stunned for a while before finding her voice. "You mean, she's dead? She was killed?"

"Yes! She's been dead for a while now."

Upon receiving the confirmation, Lassie couldn't describe her feelings. She felt a mix of joy, melancholy, confusion, relief, sadness, and sorrow, all intertwined in her heart.

Tears silently fell from the corners of her eyes. Even though she knew that Violet was an imposter and had done many heinous things, the emotions she had invested during this time were real.

She had cared for Violet, pampered her, and tried to make up for the lost seven years. Her love for Violet had even surpassed that for Shirley at times.

Violet had harmed her biological daughter Hannah so severely. Even though she had long harbored deep hatred for Violet, the emotions she had invested were not so easily retracted. So, upon hearing of Violet's death, she couldn't help but shed tears.

The imposter who pretended to be her daughter was dead. Violet had died so easily. Lassie still had many questions for Violet! She still had many doubts that needed answers!
