Chapter 1154 Death by a Thousand Cuts
After calming Hannah down, Charles grabbed a clean set of clothes from the wardrobe for her. "Hey, go take a shower! That hospital gown you're wearing is filthy. Lassie brought these clothes for you earlier. They're new and already washed!"
Hannah blushed and nodded, picking up the clean clothes. As soon as her feet touched the ground, she felt dizzy and almost fell.
Luckily, Charles was quick to catch her.
Charles' heart was pounding, as if it was going to jump out of his chest.
He apologized sincerely, "I'm sorry, I forgot you just woke up and your body hasn't fully recovered. Getting out of bed suddenly must be tough! Plus, you had a minor fracture in your calf from the car accident."
He had completely forgotten about that earlier and had been fussing over her.
Even if he was gentle, it might have caused Hannah pain.
He felt like a jerk.
Why couldn't he control himself?
Hannah, however, didn't seem to mind. "It's just a minor fracture, not a break. I'll be fine! I'll recover soon enough. Let me rest a bit, and I'll stand up when I feel better."
Before she finished speaking, she felt herself being lifted off the ground.
Startled, she clung to Charles' neck. "Where are you taking me? I haven't put on my clothes yet!"
Charles replied, "I'll help you shower! You can sit on the toilet seat, and I'll wash you."
The bathroom had a shower, not a bathtub, so she could only stand or sit while washing.
Hearing that he was going to help her shower, Hannah's body temperature rose again. "No, no need! I can wash myself! My parents are outside! If they find out, how can I face them?"
Charles didn't care at all. He kicked open the bathroom door and placed her on the toilet seat.
"We've showered together before!" He said it confidently, without a hint of embarrassment.
Hannah was mortified, "That's different! This time, my parents are outside. We can do whatever in private, but in front of them, we should be more discreet!"
Charles laughed. "I'm sure they'll understand! Between me helping you shower and you falling, they'd definitely choose the former."
Without giving Hannah a chance to refuse, he turned on the shower.
Hannah was puzzled.
Seeing his determined and domineering attitude, Hannah decided not to argue anymore.
After all, her parents had already seen her lying in Charles' arms without clothes, her dignity was already gone, so what was one more thing?
They were outside and didn't know Charles was helping her shower.
Charles was skilled, gentle, and patient.
He took care of every spot, not missing a single area.
He was especially careful when cleaning her private parts.
Seeing her vagina turn red, he couldn't help but feel guilty, "I should have held back earlier! Did I hurt you?"
Hannah's face turned bright red. "Can you not talk about this so seriously?"
It had an inexplicable allure.
It was driving her crazy!
She couldn't help but let her mind wander.
Thinking of those inappropriate thoughts, Hannah wished she could slap herself, cursing herself for being so dirty-minded.
Charles gently cleaned her body, drying her with a towel. "I'll go buy some medicine for you later. Tonight, after your parents leave, I'll apply it for you."
Hannah coughed awkwardly. "Actually, this is normal. It doesn't need medicine! It'll heal in a few days!"
Charles didn't listen. He dried her off and dressed her in clean clothes.
After the shower, Hannah felt much better, with a faint scent of body wash.
Although Charles had been taking good care of her, wiping her body twice a day, it wasn't as clean as a shower.
She felt much lighter, and her mood improved.
After placing Hannah back on the bed, Charles opened the door to let Lassie and Carter in.
Lassie asked, "Why did it take so long? We thought you fell asleep again."
Charles took out a hairdryer from the bathroom, plugged it in. "I gave Hannah a shower. She hadn't showered in days and felt uncomfortable."
Hannah was speechless.
She had just been relieved that her parents didn't know Charles helped her shower.
Now it was out!
Did she have no dignity? How could she face her parents now?
Hannah's head was about to explode.
Charles, unfazed, stood by the bed and started drying Hannah's hair.
He was skilled, as if he had done it countless times.
Seeing Charles' meticulous care for Hannah, Lassie, and Carter's eyes were filled with joy.
They had long accepted Charles as their daughter's husband, always hoping to marry her to him.
After Violet disappeared and Charles fell for Hannah, they thought their wish wouldn't come true.
But Hannah turned out to be Violet, and Charles ended up loving Violet after all.
Was this fate? Once they were destined, even if one lost their memory and changed identity, they would fall in love again. Their hearts never really separated.
Lassie poured bird's nest porridge from a thermos and handed it to Hannah. "You haven't eaten in a while. Have some porridge to fill your stomach."
"Thanks, Mom!" Hannah smiled, taking the porridge, enjoying Charles' care.
It felt great to be the center of attention, cherished.
She had both family and love.
She had never felt so happy.
After drying Hannah's hair, Charles put the hairdryer back in the bathroom. When he returned, Lassie had already served him porridge. "Eat something! I also had the chef make beef bone soup for you. Have some later."
"Thank you!" After thanking her, Charles started eating.
Lassie sat on the couch, watching them eat, smiling contentedly.
If life could continue like this, it would be enough!
After they finished eating, Lassie cleaned up the dishes. Carter suddenly spoke, "Violet, we know the hardships you've endured with the White Family!
Quentin and Lisa are unforgivable! Charles originally planned to let them go!
But now I regret it!
They treated you so horribly, even dying a hundred, a thousand times would be too lenient. I wish I could tear them apart to vent my anger! But..."
