Chapter 31 Martin's Losing Control

Afraid that the person might come after Randy again, Patricia hurried back to the Ellenstein Villa District before dinner. Randy sat sulking at the table, arms crossed, with a pout on his little mouth.

Martin's face was gloomy, indicating his own dissatisfaction as well. Neither of them paid any attention to each other, just staring, with the air filled with tension.

"I want to find mommy." Randy said in a tone that showed his stubborn nature.

"Your mommy has her own things to do. She can't be with you 24/7. You can't selfishly keep her by your side forever." Came Martin’s reply.

Randy didn't listen and persisted, "No, I want mommy."

Martin's temples bulged and his voice squeezed out through his teeth, "Randy!"

Unfortunately, his words had no effect on Randy.

"If you don't let me video call mommy, I won't eat. If you can bear it, then let me starve!" came Randy’s warning.

A storm cloud obscured Martin's eyes and the surrounding air turned cold.

Helpless watching the bickering between father and son, Patricia shook her head and walked over to sit beside Randy, saying,

"Randy, you're already four years old. You need to be obedient and stop arguing with your dad."

Seeing her finally coming back, Randy immediately hugged her neck excitedly and planted a hearty kiss on her cheek.

"Mommy, you're back! I missed you so much." Randy said joyfully.

Patricia smiled and said, "I missed you too!"

Martin glanced at her indifferently, picked up his chopsticks and started eating leisurely. He said, "You came back so quickly? Didn’t you want to chat a little longer?"

Stubbornly, Martin believed that Patricia had just gone to meet Hunter. He felt an inexplicable jealousy in his heart.

Patricia ignored him.

Martin felt a lump in his chest, a breath that couldn't go up or down.

Unaware of his turmoil, Patricia picked up her fork, tasted each dish on the table one by one, made sure there was no honey in them and then put them in Randy's plate.

"Eat quickly! Go to bed early tonight and tomorrow I'll take you to the amusement park." Patricia said lovingly to Randy.

Hearing her words, Randy's eyes sparkled with excitement.

"Are you really taking me to the amusement park tomorrow? Is dad coming with us?" Randy asked cautiously.

Patricia didn't even look at Martin and answered without hesitation, "He's not going, just you and me."

Martin: "......??"

With a pout, Randy's face was filled with disappointment. "I've never been to the amusement park with dad. I want to go with him."

"I..." Martin was about to agree, but Patricia didn't give him a chance and interrupted him, "He's busy and doesn't have time! He'll take you next time."

With that, even though Randy was still a little unhappy, he had to accept it.

Martin, who had been removed like this chose to remain silent: "......"

Patricia urged, "Then hurry up and eat. Mommy will introduce you to a new friend tomorrow."

Martin immediately felt an alarm bell ringing in his head. "Who is it?" he asked.

Patricia gave him a glare. "It's none of your business."

Martin's temples throbbed with frustration, and he clenched his teeth, wishing he could strangle the woman in front of him.

Later that night, after Patricia had put Randy to sleep, she approached Martin with a USB drive, only to unexpectedly find Alan reporting on work.

Alan froze in his tracks.

Patricia intended to leave and come back when they were done, but Martin stopped her. "Go on, there's no need to keep it from her," he said.

Alan continued his report, "We have thoroughly investigated all the household staff. They have clean backgrounds, no improper relationships, no recent financial transactions and no suspicious activities."

Martin glared at Patricia, his face turning pale. "What do you think?"

Patricia handed the USB drive to Martin.

Martin inserted the USB drive into the computer and upon seeing its contents, a chilling sensation washed over him, sending shivers down his spine.

"So, it is her." Martin said in a voice that warned of danger.

Even Alan couldn't believe that the person who harmed Randy was someone they trusted the most.

Patricia instructed Alan, "Investigate her personal information, her recent whereabouts, and even all of her relatives. I don't believe she acted willingly; there must be something hidden."

Although personal feelings were involved, she trusted her instincts.

Alan hesitated, glancing at Martin, who nodded before he turned and left.

Martin's unfathomable gaze remained fixed on the video. Suddenly, he spoke in a low voice, "Didn't the kitchen surveillance cameras break? How did you get a hold of this?"

Patricia's breath hitched. She had exposed herself.

She had been preoccupied with finding the person behind the scenes but had forgotten the crucial fact that the surveillance was broken.

Patricia tried to stay calm and not show any signs of guilt. "I paid professional technicians to retrieve it."

Rising from his seat, Martin approached her, his slender hand gripping her chin, exerting a subtle force to make her tilt her head up, his eyes locked onto hers without blinking.

"Do you really think you can fool me? Tell me, is it C?" Martin asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about. Who is C? I don't know! Let go of me," Patricia shook her head, trying to free herself from his grasp, but he held on tighter.

"Luke is the world's top programmer. If even he can't do it, who can? Take me to meet that person, the Langley Group loves recruiting talents." Martin's voice was deep, tempting and filled with dangerous undertones.

Patricia despised his confidence, the feeling of having everything under his control. She slapped away his hand.

"Do you think everyone wants to join The Langley Group? And why should I answer your questions? Who do you think you are? We're done talking. I'm going back to my room to rest."

With that, she turned away. As Patricia turned around to leave. Martin grabbed her wrists, forcefully pinning them against the wall, like an enraged lion.

"Patricia, don't think that just because you're Randy's biological mother, you can continuously provoke me. I have my limits," Martin said, his voice filled with hostility.

Patricia laughed, the more he pushed, the more rebellious she became. "I won't tell you. What can you do to me?"

Martin stared at her face, his eyes flickering with danger. "You really won't tell?"

"No!" Patricia responded firmly and decisively.

As he looked at her smug little face, Martin's mouth curled into a sinister grin.

Patricia's breath caught, as a foreboding feeling arose in her heart. Martin leaned down and forcefully kissed her lips, not gently, but with punishment as the only intension.

Patricia's breath was swallowed and after a brief moment of shock, she began to struggle desperately.

Martin released her, towering over her as he asked, "Will you tell me now?"

Patricia's chest heaved up and down in anger. "Martin, you are truly despicable!"

Martin wasted no words. Once again, he lowered his head and kissed her lips fiercely. "Will you say it?"

Patricia was infuriated. "I won't say it, I won't! You think you can force me? Let me tell you, it's impossible..."

Martin kissed her lips again. "Will you, or won’t you?"

Patricia had never seen someone so shameless. She couldn't help but blurt out in anger,

"I won't say it, not even if you kiss me to death. It's just a kiss, who's afraid of it? It's not like we've never kissed before."

Before she finished speaking, Martin kissed her again.

This time it wasn't a shallow kiss. It was long and invasive, as if he wanted to devour her whole, leaving her with barely any room to breathe.

Patricia was deprived of oxygen, losing her ability to think and her body slowly lost strength.

The scent of a woman's body filled his nostrils.

Martin's breathing became heavier, gradually losing himself. With one hand restraining her wrists above her head, his other hand roamed wantonly on her back and caressed the skin on the inside of her thigh.
