Chapter 106: Dream Girl Who Doesn't Believe You
Gabriel's face loomed larger in front of her, getting closer and closer. Sophia was forced to lean back, her waist bending almost ninety degrees, her back stinging against the marble countertop. But this man seemed relentless.
As she neared her limit and Gabriel drew even closer, almost touching her nose, Sophia closed her eyes and cursed, "Gabriel, you pervert! If you dare do anything to me, I won't let you off."
"Heh." Gabriel laughed, his warm breath brushing against Sophia's face.
Sophia opened her eyes, and there it was, the handsome face of this shit man, so close that she could almost touch it. His fair and smooth skin, without a single visible pore, and those dense and envy-inducing long lashes.
She clenched her teeth tightly, trying her best to ignore this shit man's extraordinary looks.
If it weren't for her needing to maintain her balance, she would have slapped this shit man long ago.
"Step back!" Sophia shouted in a stern voice.
Surprisingly, Gabriel obediently released her.
He took a few steps back with his long legs, experiencing Sophia scolding him for the first time. Instead of getting angry, he wore a smirk at the corner of his mouth.
"Did it hurt?"
Sophia suspected her back had a grudge against Gabriel. Ever since their reunion, her back was always getting hurt.
Although this time wasn't a severe injury, it still hurt.
Her old bones were almost breaking.
In the instant he backed away, Sophia straightened up, massaging her lower back, and glared at him coldly.
Gabriel was in a good mood.
"Remember, don't easily meddle in other people's business. The next time might not be as simple as a hurt back."
"If you don't want others to meddle, then don't act in front of everyone," Sophia retorted without wanting to back down.
Gabriel had become accustomed to her sharp-tongued demeanor. The lesson had been given, and he couldn't be bothered to argue with her any further. As he turned to leave, he kindly reminded her.
"It's late, and you'll have to drive at least ten kilometers to find a decent hotel. Moreover, there's been an out-of-town murderer who fled to D City recently."
A shiver ran down Sophia's spine.
She looked at the pitch-black surroundings outside the hotel and lost all her courage.
Forget it, she would make do for one more night. Tomorrow, she would book a plane ticket back home.
Upon returning to her room, whether it was influenced by Gabriel's words as he left or not, Sophia couldn't shake the feeling that someone was hiding in her room.
She nervously searched the room, and finally, she jumped onto the bed, covering herself with a blanket.
"You bastard, scaring me like that. Don't blame me if I make you restless too!"
Sophia took out her phone and posted the pictures she took on STATUS, adding the caption: "Who would've thought I'd capture a pair of wild lovebirds in a selfie."
Then, in an old habit, she adjusted the privacy settings to only allow Tiffany to see it.
And she asked her why.
Do you have Tiffany's WhatsApp? On the day she arrived in Lancaster, Tiffany added her. Although she didn't want to, she reluctantly accepted the friend request later on. Now it might come in handy.
Later, Sophia deleted the status visible only to Fiona. She knows how to handle situations that may cause discomfort, that's for sure.
Tiffany sat on the bed, holding her phone, sending messages to Gabriel. When Gabriel replied, she opened his status to take a look. As she continued to read, her expression became more and more unpleasant, with a hint of fierceness in her eyes.
Fiona!
She thought that no matter how much Fiona liked Gabriel, she wouldn't have the audacity to steal him away. She didn't consider Fiona as a threat. So what's going on now?
Gabriel went on a business trip to City D, with Sophia there as well. Sophia even captured a photo of Fiona and Gabriel sitting together intimately. The angle of the photo made it seem like they were very close, behaving affectionately. It was hard for people not to misunderstand.
Tiffany's anger surged, and she immediately called Gabriel. But he was in the shower, leaving his phone vibrating on the bed. No one picked up the call, and Tiffany angrily threw the phone aside. Her chest heaved, and images of that photo kept playing in her mind.
Could it be that Gabriel didn't answer her call because he was with Fiona? That despicable Fiona, trying to snatch Gabriel away while she's not around!
Tiffany got off the bed in a hurry, changed her clothes, picked up her phone, and opened the flight booking app. However, she discovered that the last flight had already departed. Frustrated, she ran her hands through her hair, completely devoid of her usual composed and elegant image as a psychiatrist.
Right, Sophia!
Tiffany called Sophia again. As Sophia saw the caller ID, a smile appeared in her eyes and at the corners of her mouth. She leisurely answered the call.
"Hello."
"Sophia, where is Gabriel?"
Tiffany's voice clearly revealed her panic.
Tsk tsk, such a small Fiona making Tiffany so anxious. How interesting. If Tiffany were to completely lose Gabriel, wouldn't she go crazy? Suddenly, Sophia felt a strong sense of anticipation.
"How would I know? Isn't he your boyfriend?" Sophia's voice was filled with mockery.
"Aren't you staying at the same hotel? Is he with Fiona?" Tiffany couldn't care less about her past conflicts with Sophia. Right now, all she wanted to know was whether Gabriel was truly with Fiona.
"Um..." Sophia pretended to think for a moment. "I don't know. I don't know anything."
The tone made it sound like she was hiding something, which only confirmed Tiffany's suspicion. Sophia looked at the disconnected phone and burst into laughter. She wondered how the two of them would argue. It's a pity that she couldn't see it with her own eyes. Gabriel, oh Gabriel, your dream girl doesn't believe you at all. You'd better not break up because of this. Otherwise, she would feel like she suffered for nothing five years ago. A shit man like Gabriel deserves to be with a despicable woman, tormenting each other for a lifetime. As long as Gabriel and Tiffany are uncomfortable, Sophia feels satisfied.
On this night, Sophia slept soundly for the first time since her business trip, with dreams of herself whipping Gabriel and Tiffany with a small whip, venting all the grievances from five years ago. Even though it was just a dream, Sophia still felt fulfilled after waking up. Sophia had a delightful breakfast and drove to the factory. There wasn't much to do today, so Sophia intentionally stayed a little longer to ensure that there were no problems. She had lunch with the production manager and others, and then bid them farewell in the afternoon. ...
Today, Mommy is coming back from her business trip. The two adorable little ones want to decorate the house to welcome Mommy home. Vincent took a day off today and took the two children out to buy things. In the supermarket, Emma bounced around and picked various decorations. "This color looks the best. Mommy will definitely like it." Ethan frowned, "It's too pink. Mommy doesn't like it." Emma glared at him with her hands on her hips. "I'll go over there and take a look." Ethan ran to the other side in a hurry.
The supermarket was crowded, and Vincent wanted to catch up with Ethan, but he also worried about Emma being alone here. Ethan is so clever, he shouldn't get lost, right? Ethan arrived at the fruit stall. Mommy likes to eat fruits, and he wanted to make a delicious fruit salad for her. But he was still too short for the stall. "Do you want this? I can help you get it," a gentle man's voice came.
