Chapter 121 Ambitious Schemes

Sam's test results would only be available in two days. As the nurse helped Tiffany weakly out, she was met with Alex's square-faced appearance.

"Where is Gabriel?" she asked.

"The boss went with the young master for a medical check-up," he replied.

Tiffany's heart skipped a beat, but she didn't let Alex see her reaction. She lowered her head dejectedly and simply uttered, "Oh," allowing the nurse to assist her in temporarily resting in the ward.

Alex followed after her, "Miss Foster, are you hungry? I can go get you something to eat."

She had just undergone stomach washing and was feeling uncomfortable. How could she eat anything!

He must be doing this intentionally!

"Okay." Tiffany desperately needed some alone time. So she reluctantly agreed to Alex's suggestion and let him go buy some food.

Before leaving, Alex closed the door for her. Tiffany quickly retrieved her phone.

"Alfred, Gabriel is with Sam for a check-up..."

...

Sophia brought the two little darlings back home and settled them in the study to read books. She took her phone and dialed Gabriel's number.

As the call connected, she was about to scold him, but instead heard Gabriel's low, hoarse voice.

"First hospital, come."

What did he mean?

Was he asking her to apologize to Tiffany?

No way, no chance!

"I can't..."

"You don't want to see Sam?"

"I'll be right there."

Sophia's expression changed several times. She hurriedly put on her coat and shouted loudly, "Ethan and Emma, mommy will go pick up Sam to play at home. You two stay at home and behave."

Ethan and Emma heard her from the study. They exchanged a glance, joy evident in their eyes.

Sophia incessantly urged the driver to speed up, annoying him.

"Miss, no matter how urgent things are, life is the most important."

Sophia replied, "Yes, yes, life is the most important. Drive as fast as you can."

She was tensely wound up inside, not knowing why Gabriel suddenly wanted her to see Sam.

Could it be because of their morning encounter that startled Gabriel?

Sophia didn't quite believe it. What kind of person was Gabriel? Would he easily be frightened like that?

But regardless, she had the chance to see Sam now. It didn't matter if she had intimidated Gabriel.

Arriving at the hospital, Sophia got out of the car and headed straight for the outpatient building.

Gabriel was waiting in the lobby, a handsome and tall man holding an adorable child. Father and son appeared like a beautiful scenery, especially pleasing to the eyes.

As soon as Sophia entered, she saw them. However, she wasn't in the mood to admire. She rushed over, gasping for breath, and anxiously asked, "What happened to Sam? Is there something wrong?"

"Nothing," Gabriel coolly replied with just two words.

Sophia was skeptical. Seeing that Sam's complexion was normal, she gently interacted with him and extended her hand.

"Sam, come here."

"Mommy, you really brought Sam back."

Clapping his hands, "Yay."

Ethan also smiled happily, indicating that he would help Mommy.

Sophia let the three children go play and then checked the fridge. She realized there wasn't much food left. Considering it was still early, she wondered if she should take the three children to the supermarket together.

She pondered for a few minutes and decided it was best not to take the risk for now.

Sam was afraid of crowded places, and it wouldn't be safe for him to take care of the three children by himself.

"Darlings, Mommy needs to go to the supermarket to buy groceries. Will you behave and play at home, okay?"

Emma raised her hand, "I want to go with Mommy."

Going to the supermarket was the best; she could pick out lots of snacks and then coax Mommy into buying them.

Sophia shook her head gently, "Your task, Emma, is to accompany Sam."

Emma pouted, "Alright then, Mommy, be careful."

"Thank you, sweetheart."

Sophia kissed the foreheads of the three children and grabbed her bag before heading out.

Sam stood there, dumbfounded.

A strange feeling grew and spread when Aunt Kelly kissed his forehead just a moment ago.

Ethan and Emma were Aunt Kelly's children, so it was understandable for Aunt Kelly to kiss them, but why did she kiss him too?

Why?

Could it be that Aunt Kelly considered him as her own child too?

"Sam, why are you daydreaming?" Emma waved her hand in front of him.

Aunt Kelly left, and Sam finally spoke to Ethan and Emma.

"You two have a good relationship with your mommy." He envied them.

How nice would it be if he also had a mommy who loved him so much?
