Chapter 412 Call the Police
Mia stormed in and slapped Caroline so fast she couldn't react, especially being in a wheelchair.
Mia went for another hit, but Caroline caught her hand this time.
Seeing Mia's rage, Caroline told Molly, "Molly, take Josie to her room."
Josie was frozen with fear. Molly tried to take her, but she was too worried to leave.
"Josie, be good and wait for me in your room," Caroline gently told her.
Caroline's face bore Mia's handprint.
Josie suddenly cried out to Mia, "Mia, don't hit my mom. If you need to hit someone, hit me."
She stood in front of Caroline, arms spread to protect her.
Mia's expression was complicated. She didn't like Josie, who wasn't Daisy's biological daughter and whose mother was Daisy's rival.
Josie had only been back a short time but was already defending Caroline. Clearly, Daisy had raised an ungrateful child.
Disgust flashed in Mia's eyes.
Caroline was worried Mia would hurt Josie. She sternly shouted, "Molly, take Josie to her room!"
Molly quickly picked up Josie and hid in the room.
Mia had brought over a dozen people, and the villa's bodyguards couldn't stop them.
Caroline looked around and said, "So this is what a prestigious family does? Breaking in and using violence."
"No need to talk manners with a bitch like you," Mia, furious, pointed at Caroline. "You ruined Daisy's engagement with Nicholas. Now she's pregnant, and you're still keeping him from her. You even pushed her and hurt her.
"You should be thankful that Daisy didn't miscarry, or you'd be in jail!"
Daisy was pregnant!
Caroline was stunned, feeling something collapse inside her.
Mia got angrier as she spoke, rolling up her sleeves. "Daisy was hurt because of you. She's kind and doesn't want to fight, but as her mother, I won't let this go."
"Today, I'm teaching you a lesson, you bitch!"
Mia raised her hand to hit again.
Caroline blocked her, but Mia grabbed her hair.
The pain from her scalp made Caroline lose the upper hand. With her leg in a cast, any sudden move affected her fractured ribs.
Caroline was almost at Mia's mercy.
But Caroline wasn't weak. She grabbed Mia's hair whenever she could. Even when Mia pinned her down, she kicked with her good leg, enduring the pain to fight back.
Unexpectedly, the usually pampered Mia fought like a wildcat.
Mia yelled at her bodyguards, "Hold her down!"
Two bodyguards quickly restrained Caroline while the others fought the villa's bodyguards. Mia, like a madwoman, tore at Caroline's hair and clothes, her sharp nails leaving red marks on Caroline's skin.
The bodyguards couldn't help but stare at Caroline's exposed, delicate skin.
"Bitch, what are you wearing? Strip her naked and throw her out so everyone can see how disgusting she is."
Suddenly, Mia froze.
She stared at a red mark on Caroline's shoulder, shaped like a plum blossom, her eyes wide with rage.
Caroline took advantage of Mia's distraction, grabbed an ashtray, and smashed it at her.
Mia screamed, blood flowing from her forehead, and yelled, "What are you all standing around for? Strip her clothes off!"
The two bodyguards, stunned, started to strip Caroline.
The villa's bodyguards finally subdued the intruders. They rushed in, grabbed the two bodyguards, and started beating them. Someone even grabbed Mia and knocked her out.
Seeing the situation turn, Molly quickly covered Caroline with a blanket.
A bodyguard, bruised and apologetic, said, "I'm sorry, Ms. Clark. What should we do next?"
Caroline, blood on her lips and eyes bloodshot, spat out, "Call the police! I want to call the police!"
Mia and her people were taken to the police station by Nicholas' bodyguards. Nicholas, who was out of town, was already on his way back and had accessed the villa's surveillance footage on his phone.
Seeing Mia beat Caroline and tear her clothes, Nicholas was furious, wanting to strangle Mia himself.
Before boarding the plane, Nicholas sent a message with a dark, ruthless expression.
Daisy had already received the news.
Mia had been detained!
Michael also got the news. Just as he arrived home, he got a call from the police station.
Seeing Mia wasn't home, Michael threw a fit.
"Why did she go and hit someone? Is it being a rich lady at home that difficult to her?" Michael angrily swept the cups off the table.
Facing Michael, who only knew how to throw tantrums and never solve problems, Daisy was disappointed.
She had never liked Michael since she was a child and looked down on him, which was why she was closer to Daniel and Linda.
"Dad, you should come with me to the police station to bail Mom out."
"I'm not going there. She's an embarrassment! Don't expect me to bail her out. If she dares to do such a thing, she should be prepared to face the consequences."
'Why could Linda be Daniel's helper, while Mia only knew how to compete with others?' he grumbled. Now, she didn't even want to be a proper wealthy housewife and had trespassed and assaulted someone.
It was one thing to hit someone, but she got caught. If she had the guts to hit someone, she shouldn't have been caught by the police.
Michael was already dissatisfied with Mia, and now he felt even more embarrassed.
"Dad!" Daisy looked at Michael in disbelief. "Mom went to teach Caroline a lesson for my sake. I almost lost the baby today!"
Daisy was carrying the Watsons' child, and Michael still wanted to use influence to pressure Daniel.
Hearing that Daisy almost miscarried, he no longer blamed Mia and went to the police station with Daisy.
However, the police informed them that the other party refused mediation.
Moreover, the other party had provided surveillance footage and other evidence, formally pressing charges against Mia.
Daisy's face turned pale as she left the police station, her stomach aching faintly.
