Chapter 47 She's so adorable
Sophia was so furious with Fiona that she wanted to pounce on her if she had not run away so quickly. No wonder Fiona gave her a victorious look before leaving. It seemed like she was waiting for her here.
With great anticipation, Sophia looked at Larry and asked, "Is it possible to transfer some stock from the factory?" Larry replied, “ I have checked already, but there is a shortage of order for clothes made from this fabric, so the factory does not have any inventory.”
Damn!
Sophia felt like cursing.
"What other options do we have then?" Charlotte chimed in, “I remember Kathy Caroline received a sample fabric last month, maybe she still has some left?”
Sophia looked at Charlotte as if she had seen a savior and gratefully said, "I'll go find her right away. Thank you."
"You're welcome," Charlotte shyly replied, lowering her head.
Sophia dashed off like a gust of wind.
Larry felt a breeze brush against his face and murmured to himself, "Will Kathy Caroline be willing to give it?" After all, they were now competitors.
Kathy Caroline would definitely not give it.
"Sorry, Sophia. I only have a tiny bit left, barely enough to make a prototype. I'm afraid I can't help you," Kathy Caroline said.
Sophia's shoulders slumped in disappointment. "Alright, thanks anyway."
Back at her desk, Sophia felt a bit frustrated. This garment must be made with this fabric in order to highlight its uniqueness. If she could not find it, she would have to redesign the whole thing and she would not have enough time to do so.
What about urgently buying it from abroad? Sophia quickly searched online, unfortunately, this particular fabric was really rare and many places were out of stock, she finally found a merchant that had some, but they could only shit it by sea and by the time it would arrive, the new product launch would have passed.
Larry and Charlotte returned to the office and saw Sophia sitting there with a furrowed brow, lost in thought. Larry approached her.
"I've contacted some of my colleagues to see if they can help find this fabric," he said.
"Thank you," Sophia gratefully looked at him.
"I'll also try to reach out," Charlotte quickly added.
"You guys are so kind," Sophia felt touched.
Even though she had encountered someone as terrible as Fiona when she first arrived, she had also made such good friends at the same time. It was a kind of gain amidst the loss.
...
Kindergarten came out one hour earlier on Friday, and parents arrived early to pick up their children. Ethan and Emma dropped off their backpacks at home and immediately went out again.
They took a taxi straight to find Sam.
Sam was waiting outside Elista’s Kindergarten in his luxurious and understated Maybach. When he saw them from a distance, he couldn't help but show a hint of joy on his face. He patted David's shoulder, signaling for him to open the car door.
David quickly complied, and Sam hopped out of the car to greet them.
Ethan also spotted the expensive and low-profile Maybach from afar and walked over with Emma, holding her hand.
When Emma saw Sam, a spark ignited in her beautiful eyes, and her little face turned sour.
"Ethan, you betrayed me," Emma exclaimed angrily.
"I've investigated, and he didn't mean to bully Mommy. It was the bodyguards who were ordered by someone else," Ethan explained to her before leaning close to her ear and whispering, "He's really sad. He doesn't have a mommy, he can't speak, and has no friends. Mommy sympathizes with him, and we should too."
Upon hearing Ethan's words, Emma suddenly felt sorry for Sam. It was indeed so unfortunate that he didn't have a mommy.
Forget it, she decided to be generous and play with him.
Seeing Emma's expression transform from anger to something peculiar, Sam couldn't help but wonder what was going on with her. What is wrong with her?
The three children got into the car, and Sam was very excited, although he didn't show it.
He quickly took out the snacks and drinks he had prepared.
"We can't just eat other people's snacks," Emma said stiffly.
Ethan gave Sam a secret signal, and Sam immediately understood. He took out three iPads from his bag and handed one to Ethan and another to Emma.
Emma's eyes brightened when she saw the iPad. It was the top-of-the-line version, and even Mommy was reluctant to buy it for them.
Sam wrote on a piece of paper, "I'll play games with you guys."
After thinking for a moment, Emma reluctantly said, "Okay."
Ethan also joined in, and as they played, Ethan was astonished by Sam's skills. He had gotten quite good in such a short period of time.
Indeed, he was as intelligent as Ethan. If it wasn't for his illness, he would surely be strong as well.
After one round ended, Emma wore a mocking expression on her face. "You shouldn't have flanked just now. You should have sneaked up from the other side."
Sam appeared humble and willing to learn, which pleased Emma. Before the second round started, Sam brought out the snacks again, and Emma reached out and grabbed a pack of potato chips.
As Sam saw Emma willingly eating the snacks he had prepared, he felt a small sense of joy. Was he forgiven? She was truly adorable.
Ethan: ...
Why did he have a feeling that his position as the older brother was about to be challenged?
David, who was driving attentively, sneakily glanced at the three little ones in the back, feeling relieved. Young master had finally made friends. If the boss knew, he would be delighted and might even give him a raise.
David, who was single-mindedly thinking about a raise, had long forgotten the feeling of familiarity when he first saw Ethan and Emma.
They arrived at the Lancaster parking lot, and the three adorable kids got out of the car in a line, standing side by side, dazzlingly bright.
Since it was still working hours, the parking lot was not crowded. Sam led Ethan and Emma to swipe their cards and enter the president's exclusive elevator.
Sam was a bit puzzled when Ethan and Emma put on masks after getting off the elevator.
"We look too cute, and we are afraid of encountering strange uncles who might want to take us away," Emma explained playfully.
I think this little girl is really modest.
Ethan nodded in agreement, "Low-key."
Sam followed them
The elevator went straight to the general manager's office. Since Gabriel didn't know that his son was coming, he didn't reserve any time. He was currently having an important meeting in the conference room, where Alex was as well. But the people in the general manager’s office all knew Sam and with David accompanying them, nobody stopped them. Sam led Ethan and Emma directly into Gabriel’s office.
He said, "This is my dad's office."
Emma exclaimed, "Wow," as she looked at the spacious office.
One half of the wall was filled with various high-tech product models, including drones, robots, and many other dazzling items that left Ethan and Emma amazed.
Ethan quickly finished touring the "idol's" office, pulled Emma's hand, and said to Sam, "We want to find mommy." Sam wrote, “I will take you.”
"No need, no need. You still need to surprise your dad. Just give us a pass, and we'll go on our own," Ethan dismissed.
After thinking for a moment, Sam gave them his card and quickly drew a simplified version of a map on a piece of paper.
The two little ones couldn't wait to take the map and leave.
"Sam, what are you doing here?"
The questioning voice froze Sam's small frame.
