Chapter 329 Conduct an Experiment
Randall was taken away.
Last time, during the rematch, Randall's reputation suffered when he was expelled.
Gabriel thought Randall should have behaved himself.
Unexpectedly, Randall never gave up and even wanted to target Sophia.
Naturally, Gabriel couldn't be blamed for being harsh.
Randall was very familiar with the illegal rules in the industry, and he had persecuted many female designers and models.
Due to Randall's prestige in the industry, the victims dared not speak out.
Of course, some victims made a fuss and sued Randall.
It was all in vain.
Randall was slick in handling things, using his connections to escape, and afterward, he would intimidate and lure the victims, leaving them directly depressed.
But this time, Randall happened to provoke Sophia.
The first time Randall targeted Sophia, Gabriel had already secretly collected evidence.
Now, it was just perfect.
During the competition, Randall was taken away by the police in front of everyone, and no matter what he did, he could no longer stand firm.
This incident didn't have much impact on Sophia's competition.
Gabriel sat there the whole time, his gaze never leaving Sophia, as if he was obsessed.
Sophia, who was working diligently, looked beautiful.
She had lost too much weight on her face and hadn't gained it back yet.
Thinking about this, regret filled Gabriel's heart once again.
Caroline saw no payments on her bank card, so working for the TV show would probably be in vain.
She felt embarrassed to tell Ben.
Otherwise, Ben would surely blame himself.
Caroline sighed and took out the contract again, carefully read it once more, and finally dialed the number on top.
The phone rang for a long time before it was answered.
"Hello."
Nicholas's voice hadn't changed with age, still so pleasant.
"It's me, Caroline."
Upon hearing Caroline's voice, Nicholas paused for a moment, then responded.
"I can teach Josie the violin, but I have a condition."
"What condition?"
"I won't teach her at the Watson family; you need to choose another place for lessons."
Nicholas thought for a second. "I'll arrange a classroom for you at the Watson Group."
"Also, I want daily payment."
Daily payment?
Nicholas remembered that Caroline seemed to be short of money.
Previously, he had mistakenly thought Caroline was married with children and had come out to sell things, speaking ill of her.
Nicholas felt some regret in his heart.
"Okay." he agreed directly.
"Let's start tomorrow; I'll teach Josie the violin for two hours at the Watson Group after she finishes school every day."
"Okay."
"That's settled then."
Caroline promptly hung up.
Nicholas gazed at Caroline's phone number, flipping through the contact list to find the number he had dialed the last time.
The two numbers were the same.
In other words, Caroline had called that number last time!
Did this mean that Caroline hadn't actually forgotten about him?
At this moment, Nicholas was elated by this speculation, his cold demeanor melting, gradually warming up.
In kindergarten, Emma coaxed Josie to get Daisy's hair.
Josie curiously asked, "What are you going to do with my mom's hair?"
Emma mysteriously told Josie, "I'm experimenting."
"What kind of experiment?"
"I'll tell you when it's done."
In Josie's eyes, Emma was her salvation. By becoming friends with Emma, she gradually became more courageous.
So whatever Emma said was what it was.
Josie no longer asked curiously.
But getting Daisy's hair was difficult.
She didn't dare to pull Daisy's hair.
Finally, the competition ended, and the models put on the clothes designed by the contestants and started the fashion show.
The judges scored on the spot.
Today's competition had instant results.
The rankings came out quickly.
Sophia was shocked.
She thought she wouldn't get a good ranking, but unexpectedly, she got third place!
To achieve third place under the circumstances of insufficient preparation and so many incidents was truly beyond her expectations.
Sophia stood on the stage, receiving the third-place trophy from the judges.
She smiled brightly, shaking the trophy happily with other winners, ribbons fluttering down like snowflakes.
Gabriel took out his phone and took a few pictures.
Jennifer walked over and hugged Sophia.
"Congratulations on third place, well done."
Jennifer had liked Sophia's design last time, and this time, Sophia surprised her even more.
"Thank you."
Jennifer also hugged the other two contestants.
The organizers invited the top three to dinner tonight.
Sophia didn't want to go.
She had to take the children back to The Lancaster family tomorrow, so she wanted to go home and have dinner with the kids tonight.
Sophia's refusal made the organizers a bit unhappy.
Jennifer gently said, "Since there's something at home, go take care of it first. There will be plenty of time for dinner and such in the future."
Seeing Jennifer speak, the organizers couldn't force Sophia any further.
Sophia met up with Margaret while holding the trophy.
Margaret was quite satisfied.
She believed Sophia could win first place.
But third place was also good.
Before the audience dispersed, Gabriel left early.
Back at the company, everyone surrounded Sophia.
"Ms. Kelly, congratulations on third place."
"Sophia, congratulations."
"Sophia, you're amazing."
Kathy watched the lively scene from afar and felt greatly annoyed.
If Sophia didn't help her, she had to figure it out herself.
It was just a competition; when Kathy became a student at the Fusion Dynamics Corporation, that would be the start of her glory.
Kathy had already found out which hotel Jennifer was staying at.
Sophia placed the trophy on her desk, using it as motivation.
After returning to the company, Gabriel received a call from Ruth.
"Grandma, when are you planning to come home?" Gabriel asked helplessly,
"Come home? Sophia's place is my home."
Gabriel rubbed his forehead. "I'll go pick up the three kids tomorrow."
"Oh, by the way, Sophia is selling the house."
Gabriel frowned. "Why is she selling the house?"
Ruth told Gabriel about Sophia's plans.
"Sophia is loyal and kind; she's really a good girl. Gabriel, find a way to rent out the apartment under my name, only to Sophia, and the rent should be half the price of the surrounding area."
"Okay."
"Also, get someone to clean it up."
"Alright."
"That's it, I'm hanging up." Ruth hung up without hesitation.
After Josie returned home from school, she kept thinking about how to get Daisy's hair.
She was distracted while doing her homework, glancing upstairs from time to time.
When she saw Daisy coming down, Josie immediately buried her head in her homework.
Aragorn was watching the news, his stern gaze shifting from the TV to Josie, looking deeply at her for a moment before returning to the screen.
