Chapter 381 A Dilemma
Paul's words were immediately interrupted by Nicholas.
"I have nothing to do with her, so stop talking to me about her."
All of Paul's words were blocked by Nicholas's indifference.
He was silent for two seconds, gritting his teeth, saying, "I hope you don't regret it."
With that, Paul hung up.
Nicholas inexplicably felt extremely irritated, his heart pounding uncontrollably.
"Mr. Watson, Blake Grimaldi is here."
"Let him in."
Half an hour later, Blake frowned, looking serious.
"This is bad; the nerves in your leg are completely dead."
Nicholas didn't seem to care; he said coldly, "I didn't call you here to look at my leg."
Blake shrugged and said, "The drug you provided works well, but the side effects are still significant. I suggest..."
Blake and Nicholas started discussing work.
The Watson family and the Wolf family were both busy preparing for the wedding.
Everyone was so busy that they didn't pay much attention to Josie.
Josie heard from Emma at kindergarten that Caroline had a car accident, and she was immediately anxious. After school, she begged the driver to take her to the hospital to see Caroline.
The driver couldn't bear it, but Daisy had instructed him not to take Josie anywhere, or he would be fired.
He needed the job, so he could only comfort Josie a bit and take her home.
Josie was very worried about Caroline; her eyes were red, and tears were silently falling.
Perhaps it was because of the bond of blood that a tear slid down from Caroline's tightly closed eyes, quickly disappearing into the pillow.
Sophia noticed it; she held Caroline's hand and continued, "Caroline, can you hear me? You must have heard it, so wake up quickly."
"Wake up, and we'll bring Josie back together. Josie is your child, and she's doing well."
"We'll find out what happened back then together."
"Caroline, you must wake up."
Ethan, Emma, and Sam came in and heard Sophia's words. Emma rushed over and lay beside Caroline.
"Godmother, Josie is so pitiful. She's bullied by her fake mommy and cries every day, like an unwanted child."
Another tear slid down from Caroline's eye.
Emma thought, 'Should we bring Josie here to cry in front of Godmother?'
Just like last time when Gabriel stimulated Sophia when she was in a coma?
But now, that bad woman Daisy had locked Josie at home, not letting her go anywhere.
The doctor came to check, and Caroline's condition still hadn't improved.
The police were still searching for the hit-and-run driver, initially judging that the accident was caused by the driver being drunk.
Around eight o'clock, Sophia took the three children home first. There were caregivers here, as well as Paul and Lisa.
When Sophia went to take a shower, the three children gathered together.
"Ethan, think of a way to get Josie to see Godmother." Emma looked at Ethan.
Sam also looked at Ethan expectantly.
Ethan frowned tightly; he had searched online for the hit-and-run driver but still couldn't find where he was hiding.
'He is just an ordinary truck driver; how could he hide so well?' He thought.
"Ethan!" Emma pushed him as he was deep in thought.
Ethan came back to his senses and asked, "What is it?"
Emma rolled her eyes and said, "I asked you to think of a way to get Josie to see Godmother."
"Just find Paul."
"Josie's uncle?" Emma said.
Paul was Nicholas' brother, so he was Josie's uncle.
If they secretly took Josie out of kindergarten and got caught, Daisy would definitely cause trouble for Sophia, so the best solution was to ask Paul for help.
Paul was from the Watson family; he could openly take Josie out of the Watson family.
The next day, Sophia went to the hospital early before going to the company.
She was very busy with going between home, the company, and the hospital, so she was visibly thinner.
Gabriel sent Sophia some information and said, "This hospital has a high success rate for treating vegetative patients. Consider transferring Caroline abroad for treatment?"
Gabriel knew Sophia cared a lot about Caroline, so he wanted to do what he could.
Sophia looked at the information and was very tempted.
She calculated her savings; the money from selling the house was still there, originally for another purpose, but now nothing was more important than treating Caroline.
"Thank you. I'll contact the hospital now." Sophia was grateful.
Gabriel said, "I know the dean there; I'll give him a heads-up. You just need to handle the paperwork to go abroad."
"Okay."
But Caroline needed someone to accompany her for treatment abroad.
Sophia was once again in a dilemma.
Her children were in the country; she couldn't leave them.
But Caroline couldn't go for treatment without someone accompanying her.
Lisa?
Lisa was still weak herself; how could she have the energy to go abroad to take care of Caroline, not to mention the language barrier?
Paul?
Even worse, Paul was Nicholas' brother. After Caroline broke up with Nicholas, she had no relationship with Paul. Now Paul went to the hospital every day and stayed with Caroline at night, which was already very good.
Should she find a caregiver abroad to take care of Caroline?
But without friends around Caroline, what if the caregiver mistreated her?
Today, Josie didn't come to kindergarten, making the three children even more anxious.
They didn't wait for school to end and had Ruth send David to pick them up.
The three little ones hurried to the hospital, not seeing Paul, so they stayed by Caroline's bed, talking to her.
Around five-thirty, Paul finally appeared.
"Uncle Paul, please help Caroline," Emma's eyes were red, looking pitifully at Paul.
Paul's heart immediately softened.
"What's wrong with Caroline? Did she wake up?"
"No," Emma shook her head and replied, "Uncle Paul, Josie is Caroline's daughter. Caroline misses Josie very much. Can you bring Josie to see Caroline?"
Paul squeezed his fingers.
"Don't worry. I'll go get Josie right away."
Paul left quickly, and Emma cheered him on from behind.
"Go, Uncle Paul!"
Paul drove quickly back to the Watson family.
This was his first time back at the Watson family since returning to the country.
At the gate, he didn't get out to ring the doorbell but kept honking the car horn.
The horn kept blaring.
The people in the villa were annoyed by the noise.
Aragorn, with a dark face, told the servant, "Go see what's going on."
The servant hurried to check.
Paul stuck his head out of the car window, his face gloomy.
"It's me, Paul. Open the gate."
The servant recognized him and opened the gate. Paul rushed in quickly.
