Chapter 387 Were You Snatching the Groom?
Linda touched Daniel's arm.
"Everyone's watching, so you should smile."
How could Daniel possibly smile?
Linda continued, "Daisy just told me that Nicholas suddenly fainted while on a business trip abroad. It must be the aftereffects of that car accident years ago."
Daniel glanced at Linda in surprise, then suddenly understood.
He snorted coldly, "Aragorn is getting more and more foolish!"
But Daniel couldn't bear to embarrass Daisy, so he forced a smile.
The wedding march was playing, and Paul stood among the groomsmen, watching the scene unfold.
No one anticipated that it was actually a solitary wedding ceremony!
He quietly took out his phone to text Nicholas.
Paul: [Nicholas, impressive, a solitary wedding ceremony. Do you need me to livestream it for you?]
There was no response.
Paul: [Nicholas, why are you ignoring your dear brother?]
Daisy was wearing a snow-white wedding dress. She had a custom-made dress tailored abroad long ago for this wedding. She had dreamed of wearing this beautiful dress to marry Nicholas.
Today, she finally achieved her dream.
Although Nicholas was absent due to illness, it didn't matter. She could overcome the difficulties and complete the wedding alone.
Daisy was moved by her own determination, with sweet, happy music playing in her ears. Behind her, Josie was carrying a basket of flowers, scattering petals as she walked.
Josie was also dressed up today, wearing a pink puffy dress with two pink bows on her head.
There was also a little boy scattering flowers with Josie.
Daisy, holding her father Michael's arm, walked to the officiant. Michael gave a touching speech with the microphone, and then the officiant began the ceremony, asking Daisy to make her vows and exchange rings.
Suddenly, a commotion arose.
Everyone turned their heads to look at the entrance.
Paul's eyes lit up instantly; Caroline was awake!
Caroline was sitting in a wheelchair, her face pale, but her expressionless demeanor was intimidating, exuding a commanding presence.
Sophia was wheeling Caroline, equally imposing.
Five bodyguards in black led the way, forcing the staff to retreat.
Sophia and her group were unstoppable, and no one could stop them.
"Are they here to snatch the groom?" one of the groomsmen standing next to Paul asked in surprise.
Paul thought, 'Snatch the groom?'
'Awesome!'
'Caroline is so cool!'
'But Nicholas isn't there, so Caroline might have come in vain.'
"Who are you? What do you want?" Aragorn shouted sternly.
Caroline, though pale, looked spirited. She sneered. "Have you forgotten who I am so quickly?"
Aragorn turned cold, saying, "If you're here to give your blessings, please take a seat at the back. If you're here to cause trouble, don't blame me for being rude!"
Caroline said, "No need to be so tense. I'm just here to take my daughter home."
With that, she looked at Josie with gentle eyes.
"Josie, come to Mommy."
Josie was stunned, staring at Caroline.
The moment she saw Caroline, she was delighted that Caroline was finally awake.
'But why does Caroline want to take me home?'
'Does Caroline mistake me for her daughter?' She thought.
Josie hadn't forgotten the mission Emma had given her. She lifted her little legs, ready to go comfort Caroline.
Daisy grabbed her.
"Josie, don't go over there. That woman is crazy. She'll hurt you. Security, get them out of here!"
Aragorn also reacted, quickly calling the security personnel to surround Caroline and Sophia.
"I think the crazy woman is you. You stole Caroline's child. Just for that, we have the right to press charges." Sophia showed no fear. She gently patted Caroline's shoulder and whispered, "Stay calm. I'll bring Josie over."
Caroline gratefully nodded.
Sophia then instructed the bodyguards, "Protect her!"
"Yes!" the bodyguards responded in unison, exuding a strong presence.
Sophia moved to the front, standing in front of Caroline.
She snapped her fingers, and a photo of a paternity test report appeared on the big screen.
"This is the paternity test report for Josie and Caroline. It proves that Josie is Caroline's child. Daisy stole and used Caroline's child to marry into the Watson family."
Except for the main members of the two families, no one else knew that Josie wasn't Daisy's biological child.
There was a collective gasp from the crowd.
"This report is from a reputable institution. It shouldn't be fake."
"So, Daisy did not give birth to Nicholas' child."
"Daisy is so vicious. Did she deceive the entire Watson family?"
The murmurs and whispers reached Daisy's ears.
Daisy glared at Sophia and Caroline, gripping Josie's arm tightly. Josie's arm hurt, but she didn't cry out.
Josie instinctively endured, her body shrinking in response.
Although Sophia was far away, her experience in caring for children made her notice Josie's discomfort immediately.
"What did you do to Josie? Let her go!" Sophia anxiously tried to run over to save Josie.
"What are you all standing around for? Throw these troublemakers out!" Aragorn angrily ordered.
Aragorn couldn't let them ruin the wedding!
The security guards moved to grab Sophia and Caroline, but the bodyguards Sophia brought were not easily bullied. The two groups clashed.
Aragorn's face darkened as he saw his men struggling. He raised his hand, and another dozen security guards rushed in.
Seeing this, Paul ran over to help without hesitation.
"Caroline, I'm here."
The scene became chaotic.
Sophia saw a security guard swinging a stick at Caroline. Her face changed, and she quickly rushed over.
Caroline was shielded by Sophia, and she clearly heard the stick hitting Sophia's shoulder and her cry of pain.
"Sophie!"
The security guard swung the stick again, but Paul kicked him away. However, Paul didn't see another person hitting his arm with a stick.
"Paul! I'm coming to help you."
Seeing Paul get hit, Clayton, full of youthful vigor, rushed over to help Paul.
Linda called out worriedly, "Clayton!"
The security guards seemed to be in a frenzy, attacking anyone who was helping Caroline and Sophia.
Clayton rushed in and got hit twice.
The scene was getting more chaotic and out of control, especially with Daniel's son Clayton and Paul getting hurt. Aragorn's chest heaved with anger.
These security guards were all idiots!
Daisy let go of Josie and signaled a security guard to attack Caroline. The guard understood and slowly approached Caroline in the chaos, a gleaming knife hidden in his sleeve.
