Chapter 129 Grandma's Plan

Early in the morning, Tiffany arrived at the company, filled with excitement, looking for Gabriel.

"Gabriel, yesterday I visited Colin at the hotel, and he agreed to have dinner with us today. We'll bring Sam along and ask him to take a look at Sam."

Gabriel glanced at her from the pile of files.

"Didn't I tell you not to worry about this?"

Tiffany felt wronged. "I just want to do more for Sam."

Gabriel wrinkled his brows slightly, lowered his head, and continued signing the documents.

Forget it, he was planning to meet Colin tonight anyway.

While Tiffany busied herself running around for Sam, Gabriel remained calm and seemingly unhurried.

In fact, it wasn't that Gabriel wasn't anxious, but meeting Colin required a certain approach.

Colin had just arrived and surely needed time to rest and recuperate. If Gabriel went to see him last night, given Colin's temper, he might be turned away.

Moreover, Colin's trip to China was a private one, so he must have important things to attend to. To meet Colin, Gabriel had to avoid interfering with his matters.

Going to see Colin tonight would be just right.

Since Tiffany had already made an appointment with Colin, it was even better.

Sophia was not focused at work, and Fiona called her several times before she snapped back to reality.

"What's the matter?" Sophie lazily responded to Fiona, not bothering to put on a friendly face.

Fiona looked at her strangely. "Manager Chuck is looking for you."

"Oh."

Sophia got up and went to Manager Chuck's office. Fiona watched her figure and let out a light, pleasant laugh.

"Manager Chuck." Sophia pushed the door and entered.

Upon seeing her, Manager Chuck smiled. "Miss Kelly, please have a seat."

He gestured to the chair in front of his desk and only began speaking slowly after she sat down. "Flora is going to set up a shop in Ocean Blue Mall. You know what Ocean Blue represents. The CEO of the other party requested to meet our Flora's designer, so you will need to attend tonight's dinner with Designer Chen. I've already informed Director Li about this."

Sophia frowned. "I can't tonight."

She had to bring Colin his medical records tonight.

If she missed tonight, she didn't know when Colin would have time again.

Manager Chuck was not pleased.

"Sophia, you need to distinguish between the urgency and importance of matters. Ocean Blue is Flora's gateway to international success. The company has been negotiating with Ocean Blue for a long time, and now we're just one step away from sealing the deal. Can you bear the responsibility of letting everyone's efforts go to waste because of your unwillingness?"

Sophia felt pressured by Manager Chuck's words.

Chuck scolded her, and she emerged from the office feeling dizzy and slow to react.

Why did he scold her?

But now, it was too late to argue with Manager Chuck again.

Sigh, it's so annoying. Why do things always happen all at once?

She wondered if it would be too late to find Colin after the dinner.

Will Colin wait for her?

Sophia didn't want to go to the dinner, but since she couldn't convince Manager Chuck, she had no choice but to find Margaret.

Unfortunately, Margaret was on a business trip!

So, she turned to Kathy Caroline instead.

Kathy Caroline shrugged helplessly, saying, "I don't know what to do. It's better for you to go. Manager Chuck is very good at causing trouble. Be careful not to attract his attention."

Sophia returned to her seat, looking worried. She decided to ask Mr. Colin about his availability in the evening.

She didn't have Colin's contact information yet, so she could only reach out to Colin through Caroline for now.

When Sophia mentioned the dinner to Caroline, she replied, "Let me give Colin your medical records first. When the dinner is over, you can come to him."

That works as well.

If there's a conflict in time, Sophia would definitely prioritize meeting Colin. After all, Sam was the most important person in her heart, and she didn't care if she offended Manager Chuck.

But now that she had a better solution, she didn't have to worry anymore.

Today, Sam told Ethan and Emma that Great-Grandma wanted to see them and asked them to take a break to visit Lancaster Family.

Ethan and Emma missed Great-Grandma too, but... the first time they went, they almost got caught by their bad dad. The second time, their bad dad happened to be away on a business trip. The third time... who knows what could happen?

Who can guarantee that they won't get caught the third time?

Sam now thought that they didn't want to see their dad because they didn't like him. He was distressed about it and always wanted to say good things about their dad to Ethan and Emma. However, he was not good with words and always ended up changing the subject, leaving him frustrated.

Emma had a bright idea, "How about we invite Great-Grandma to go out with us? How about going to the amusement park?"

Sam replied, "Great-Grandma has trouble with her legs and doesn't like going out."

The three little ones all rested their chins on their hands and fell into deep thoughts.

From a distance, their teacher looked at the three of them and felt like she was looking at triplets. Ethan and Emma had identical facial features except for their hairstyles, while Sam shared similarities with them halfway. Their aura when they contemplated together was absolutely adorable, enough to melt anyone's heart.

"I have a plan," Emma motioned for Ethan and Sam to come closer, and the three little ones began whispering and discussing.

Finally, they came up with a plan to visit Great-Grandma.

After a few days of reduced medication, Sam experienced a decrease in hair loss and excessive sleepiness.

He was in a good mood when he was with Ethan and Emma at the kindergarten.

Sam and Emma would teach him how to play games and program, and he would teach them how to draw. But as soon as he got home, or more precisely, as soon as school was over, Sam would ignore everyone and completely immerse himself in his own world, without a trace of liveliness.

Every day, Madam sighed and missed those two children, constantly urging Sam to invite Ethan and Emma to their house.

Sam didn't want to make Granny too sad, so when Dad wasn't home, he interacted more with Granny to make her happier.

Today, when Sam came back, he told Granny some good news.

As soon as Madam heard it, her face lit up with a smile. "Alright, then Granny will prepare food and drinks when they come to play."

Sam held Granny's hand, and a slight smile curled up on his lips.

Sophia attended a work dinner for the first time after returning to the country. When she was abroad, she was often dragged along to have meals with clients, but the drinking culture there was not that deep, and everyone would just have a few casual drinks.

But this time, it was obvious that the other person loved drinking. As soon as they entered, they pulled her and Kathy Caroline to have three drinks.

Sophia had a bad premonition.

If she kept drinking like this, would she be able to leave at eight o'clock?

"Miss Kelly, I've seen your new product this time, and it's the best in sales!" The CEO of Ocean Blue raised his thumb and praised Sophia incessantly, then raised his glass. "I really appreciate having such an outstanding designer like you. This drink must be finished."

After he finished, he took the whole drink himself. If Sophia didn't drink, it would be difficult to handle the situation.

She could only force herself to drink half of it.

"Sorry, I really can't drink. I'll finish the remaining half later."
