Chapter 203 Tonight, Gabriel Must See
After entering the elevator, Sophia felt even more dizzy. Everything she looked at was blurry, and her consciousness was rapidly fading.
In her daze, she seemed to hear Charlotte's pained voice. Suddenly, she was handed over to another person, and then she was taken into a room.
"I... want... to go home." Sophia tried to leave, but she was pushed by the other party and fell down.
She felt as if she were lying on a thick layer of cotton, with the sunlight pouring down, feeling very warm, even a little hot... extremely hot.
"Mommy seems to be drunk." Ethan furrowed his little brows, his tone serious.
The live broadcast couldn't follow Sophia, the last thing they saw was Mommy being helped away by a female coworker.
"Great-grandma, we have to go home. Mommy is drunk and needs someone to take care of her." Emma cooed to her great-grandmother.
Even though Madam Lancaster was reluctant to let them go, she had to let them leave early.
After all, she was worried too.
Madam Lancaster ordered David to personally send them home.
The hospital was full of germs, so Madam Lancaster didn't let Sam stay. Thus, all three children left together.
In the car, Ethan propped his chin and fell into deep thought. He replayed the live broadcast in his mind, analyzed all the shots of Mommy, and finally came to a conclusion.
Mommy didn't drink much at the annual meeting at all, and what she drank was fruit wine!
"Oh no!"
Emma and Sam looked over in confusion.
Ethan said anxiously, "Mommy is in danger!"
Emma nervously grabbed him, "Then we have to go save Mommy."
"Go to the hotel where they’re holding the annual meeting." Ethan immediately issued orders.
David immediately turned the car around.
When the three children were together, Ethan was the leader. David was already used to it and didn't need to consult Sam's opinion. Sam would definitely listen to Ethan.
...
After arranging Noah, Harrison came back to continue socializing and was pulled by several department managers to drink a dozen more cups.
On a day like today, Harrison, as the general manager, was bound to drink a bit more. After Alex ended the live broadcast on Madam Lancaster's order and handed the equipment to the camera crew, he immediately returned to Mr. Lancaster's side.
Tiffany saw Sophia being helped away by Charlotte from a distance, and a trace of triumph flashed in her eyes.
The pain in her leg was a constant reminder that everything that had just happened was real. She was flung away by her own boyfriend in front of everyone, and all of this was thanks to Sophia.
If she hadn't changed the tune randomly, Gabriel wouldn't have followed the rhythm and quickened his steps, and she wouldn't have been thrown like that.
She would take revenge on Sophia tonight!
The original plan for tonight was just to take a few pictures. Now... ha, she wanted Sophia to have an irreversible relationship with Harrison!
Tiffany hid her vicious side and smiled gently on the surface, chatting happily with Gabriel and others.
The ball was in full swing; everyone seemed busy. Harrison had drunk quite a bit of alcohol. He walked over with a champagne in hand and put one hand on Gabriel's shoulder.
"Gabriel, where's Sophia?"
He had looked around and hadn't seen Sophia. She couldn't have left, could she?
He still wanted to create some opportunities for Gabriel tonight.
"About ten minutes ago, I saw Miss Kelly's colleague take her home," Alex answered Harrison's question.
"A man or a woman?" Harrison asked with interest.
"A female colleague."
Harrison uttered an "Oh".
Gabriel, however, couldn't help but frown, with a hint of anger and worry. This woman knew she couldn't hold her liquor, so why did she drink so much at the annual meeting?
Wasn't she afraid of running into another scumbag like Randall?
Tiffany observed Gabriel's expression. Even though Gabriel just frowned, she still sensitively noticed Gabriel's worry.
Tiffany's hand that was holding the wine glass tightened, and her knuckles turned white from the force.
She knew it, Gabriel still had Sophia in his heart!
Then she had to make Gabriel see how his ex-wife was messing around with his good friend!
Harrison's eyes were clouded with drunkenness, adding a seductive charm to his gaze, as he leaned heavily on Gabriel.
The tipsy Harrison still remembered his dislike for Tiffany.
"You're so annoying." He glanced at Tiffany impatiently.
"You're definitely drunk." Gabriel spoke helplessly.
Right now, when Harrison spoke, all Gabriel could smell was alcohol.
Gabriel instructed Alex, "Take him to rest."
"Yes."
Harrison was unhappy. He wasn't saying he could outdrink everyone, but over the years he should have trained himself to hold his liquor pretty well, right? Tonight, everyone was saying he was drunk.
But when he moved, his head spun badly, and he ended up being helped upstairs by Alex.
At the door of Harrison's room, Harrison refused to go in, slurring, "I switched rooms with Gabriel; I'm not staying here tonight."
He pulled Gabriel's room card from his suit pocket, and Alex had no choice but to take him to the only suite on the top floor.
This suite was exclusively for Gabriel, with top-notch privacy and security.
Harrison was helped in.
The room was pitch black. Alex switched on the light and directly helped him into the bedroom.
He couldn't find the light in the bedroom after searching for a while, so he simply helped Harrison onto the bed with the faint light coming in from the living room. After making sure he was lying down and covering him with the blanket, Alex left.
The careless Alex didn't notice the lady's high heels by the bed, nor the lady's handbag in the living room.
Harrison was sleeping when he suddenly felt hot, as if he was being boiled in a pot, making him irritable. He subconsciously threw off the blanket and tore off his clothes, his hand accidentally hit someone, and the person moaned.
A woman?
Harrison wanted to wake up, but felt like he was dreaming; his consciousness just wouldn't clear up.
There couldn't possibly be a woman in his bed.
Soon, the heat of his body completely swallowed his rationality, and he slowly lost control and moved closer to the woman next to him.
It was already eleven o'clock, and at the ball, Anne had not seen Sophia all night, which was quite disappointing.
There were just too many employees at the Lancaster Group, and she didn't know where the people from the fashion design department were gathered. Also, when Sophia was playing the piano for Gabriel and Tiffany, she went to the restroom.
They were in the same company, but because the company was so big, they always missed each other, and now they didn't even see each other at the annual meeting.
Anne was frustrated. Holding her wine glass, she planned to go to the balcony for some fresh air. She wasn't used to wearing high heels, and her walk was wobbly and uncomfortable. She didn't notice the person in front of her, and Anne bumped into them, spilling her wine on the other person.
"I'm so..." Before she could finish the word "sorry," Anne became so scared that she could no longer speak. The person she had just bumped into was Mr. Lancaster!!
Oh my God, of all the people she could bump into, it had to be the big boss!
