Chapter 92 Fortunately, Emma Shares Acting Techniques
Gabriel had already sent someone to contact Morris, but Morris had a passion for archaeology and often traveled around the world. He could be gone for three to five years in one go.
This time he had been with the archaeological team for two years, without any news from Scarlett. His family and friends didn't even know if he was still alive.
Alex remembered something and quickly said, "By the way, boss, there have been more than twenty large expenditures on the subsidiary card you assigned to the young master recently."
Gabriel leaned against the sofa, his gaze landing on the small figure on the bed.
"Who is the recipient?"
"A live streaming platform."
Live streaming? Was Sam secretly watching live streams and sending gifts?
Alex thought of something else, but now the boss definitely wasn't in the mood to listen, so he decided not to mention it for now. It wasn't a particularly big issue anyway.
Alex continued reporting on other work. Mrs. Lancaster heard that her great-grandson had a high fever and hurriedly rushed to the hospital.
Seeing his grandmother coming, Gabriel hung up the phone and went up to support the elderly woman.
Mrs. Lancaster's tears fell, "My little darling, why are you running a fever again? What did the doctor say?"
Madam tightly held Gabriel's hand.
"He refuses to take injections, so we can only use physical cooling for now."
A towel soaked in cold water was placed on Sam's forehead. Gabriel occasionally took it off to rinse it in cold water before putting it back on.
Gabriel didn't dare to tell Madam about Sam's disappearance at the amusement park yesterday, fearing that she would worry.
"Grandma, Sam's condition is getting worse." Gabriel's voice was filled with powerlessness.
"What do you mean?" Madam wiped her tears.
"Alfred suggested using medication for treatment."
Madam understood, and the impact made her dizzy for a moment. She staggered, and Gabriel quickly supported her.
Gabriel was prepared for his grandmother to cry, but instead of crying, she wiped away her tears and grabbed his hand.
"I think the two friends Sam made are great. They are cheerful and lively, and Sam really likes them. How about transferring Sam to their kindergarten? With them around, it would be better for Sam's condition."
"I can arrange for them to enter Elita Kindergarten." Gabriel didn't oppose Sam playing with them. Although he hadn't met those two children yet, Madam had praised them many times, so they must be good kids.
"They might not agree, and Elita Kindergarten isn't that great either. Otherwise, Sam would have made friends there. How come he hasn't made any friends there?" Madam was quite dissatisfied.
"Alright then, I'll look into it."
"No need, I've already looked into it. It's just a regular kindergarten. Let Sam go to school like an ordinary person."
Since Sophia's "passing," it had been a long time since Madam had been so assertive.
Sam woke up hungry and groggily.
When he saw his father and grandmother present, he was very happy, but the next moment, he immediately concealed all his emotions.
Because... Mrs. Foster had arrived!
He was afraid that Mrs. Foster would harm Ethan and Emma. He had been having nightmares all night and had made a decision in a daze this morning.
The only way to prevent Mrs. Foster from hurting Ethan and Emma was for him to continue to isolate himself, even more severely, and not let anyone get close.
That's right, he was pretending. When Uncle Alfred came to see him, he almost saw through his act. Luckily, Emma taught him acting skills, and Ethan taught him how to control his emotions and not be affected by others' words.
Unfortunately, Tiffany arrived when Madam was there. Without even saying a word, she was immediately kicked out by Madam.
Tiffany felt extremely wronged and could only stay outside the ward.
Surprisingly, Gabriel didn't come out to comfort her. He stayed inside the ward the whole time.
Until Sophia appeared.
"What's all the commotion outside?" Madam frowned. With such noise outside, how could her great-grandson rest?
Gabriel stood up. "I'll go check."
Mrs. Lancaster nodded.
Gabriel opened the door and saw Tiffany and Sophia arguing with flushed faces. His tall figure stood at the entrance, blocking Madam's view.
"Hmph, not even considering that Sam is still sleeping, making a big fuss at the entrance. And she still wants to be Gabriel's wife, without even entering!" Madam muttered under her breath.
Betty chimed in, "After all, she's not a biological relative."
When Madam withdrew her gaze, Gabriel subtly positioned himself, revealing Sophia's figure. She even tried to rush into the ward, but the next moment, Gabriel quickly closed the door, forcefully pulling Sophia away.
Tiffany smugly glanced at Sophia being dragged away and followed them.
"Gabriel, let go of me!" Sophia squatted on the ground, struggling to break free from Gabriel's grip.
But ultimately, she couldn't resist the powerful strength of a man. She was dragged into the stairwell and nearly down the stairs.
Sophia's face turned pale with fear.
Finally, Gabriel let go of her hand and turned to face Sophia, his eyes bloodshot, filled with great anger.
"Sophia, I warned you, why didn't you listen!"
Sophia felt utterly puzzled.
Harrison had told her that Sam was sick again. She rushed to the hospital immediately, wanting to be by Sam's side.
However, when she finally found the ward number, she was intercepted at the entrance by Tiffany.
Anxious, she lashed out at Tiffany with harsh words. Since Tiffany had already been mistreated by Madam, she vented all her frustrations on Sophia.
The two of them started quarreling outside.
Gabriel stepped forward and, instead of stopping, he rudely dragged Sophia away
"I don't understand what you're saying. I want to go see Sam," Sophia stood up.
Her back was just involved in the struggle, causing her to break out in a cold sweat from the pain.
But now, nothing was more important than Sam.
Yesterday, Sam was perfectly fine. How did they end up back in the hospital overnight?
"Did you say something to Sam?" Gabriel's icy gaze pierced like a cold knife.
Sophia sensed something, her movements slightly faltered as she raised her head with an anxious expression on her face.
"What happened to Sam?"
"Are you even in a position to ask?" Gabriel sneered.
"Don't blame everything on me. What happened to Sam?"
She urgently grabbed Gabriel's arm.
Tiffany, eager to revel in their misfortune, caught up and, as soon as she saw them, angrily rushed over, pulling Sophia's hand away.
"You abandoned him back then, and now you're pretending to be a good mother. Sophia, you're truly hypocritical."
"Who are you? Are you qualified to meddle?"
Sophia coldly glared back.
