Chapter 644 Unlucky
Gabriel didn't need to confront Tiffany; Sophia's evidence was enough to prove everything.
If Tiffany hadn't pretended to be someone else, Gabriel might never have met her.
Thinking about it all, Gabriel felt even more disgusted with Tiffany and had zero interest in ever being with her.
Gabriel straight-up ordered that anyone who talked about him and Tiffany together would be fired!
Everyone in the company immediately clammed up about "Tiffany."
They all sensed Gabriel's disgust towards her, so those who were usually close to Tiffany started avoiding her.
Dylan's heart was racing.
He couldn't figure out what Tiffany had done to make Gabriel want to cut ties with her so badly.
Dylan thought, 'How can I help her now? But I can't just leave her hanging.'
If he ditched her, Tiffany would definitely drag him down with her.
He'd already lost the income from the beauty salon and was now just scraping by as the head of security at the Lancaster Group.
But clearly, he and Marlowe were spending way more than they were making and were in the red.
Their current life was basically paycheck to paycheck.
If Marlowe hadn't used the beauty salon money to buy a house before, they might not even have a place to live now.
Marlowe grumbled, "Can't you use your connections to get us some more clients?"
Being the head of security for the CEO of the Lancaster Group sounded fancy. Dylan had used this connection to bring in a lot of clients for the beauty salon before.
But now...
"Alex is watching me like a hawk. You know how by-the-book he is. If he finds out I'm abusing my position, he'll definitely fire me."
Since Dylan divorced Katherine, Alex had treated him like a stranger.
And he had a feeling Gabriel also had a big issue with him, but out of respect for Alex, Gabriel hadn't kicked him out of the company.
Dylan was really struggling lately.
He couldn't help but think of Katherine.
If Katherine hadn't blown things up, they wouldn't be in this mess now.
Marlowe said, "But your current income is just enough for our basic needs. We can't buy nice clothes for the kid or me, and there's also your daily cigarettes."
Marlowe listed their expenses and realized their quality of life had dropped significantly compared to before.
"Dylan, this is your only son. It's going to cost a lot to raise him. You need to find a way to make more money."
Dylan held his head and said distractedly, "I know, stop nagging me."
Dylan had no business sense. Opening the beauty salon was Tiffany's idea. Now, thinking about these things, he was clueless.
So he had to call Tiffany.
Tiffany was also a mess right now.
The incident of being arrested by the police in Country M hadn't blown over yet. When she did live streams, fans kept asking about it, and her sales were only a fraction of what they used to be. Tiffany's sales had tanked.
Not only that, but all the relationships she had painstakingly maintained had also cut ties with her.
Tiffany felt like everything was slipping away.
She had no time to help Dylan figure out business stuff.
She made up an excuse to brush him off.
Sophia held a stack of photos, flipping through them one by one.
The photos showed Dylan sneaking into Tiffany's car and then sneaking out again.
"How long were they in the car?"
"About ten minutes."
Dylan was definitely up to something with Tiffany!
The photos confirmed Sophia's suspicions, but they only proved they had contact, not that they conspired to harm Sam.
She had thought about getting info from Dylan's ex-wife Katherine, but Katherine knew nothing about Dylan's shady dealings.
And Marlowe was also in cahoots with Tiffany, unless Marlowe decided to betray her.
"Sophia." Larry came running over.
Sophia quickly put away the photos and gave Emily a look. Emily got the hint and slipped away.
"Sophia, where's the signed photo of MilkSugar?"
Sophia sighed and handed Larry Emma's signed photo.
On the back, Emma had written a neat little message: Larry, keep it up!
Larry was over the moon.
"Thanks, Sophia."
He never imagined his little idol was actually Sophia's daughter.
He decided to work harder to build a good relationship with Sophia and maybe even play a game with MilkSugar!
Larry set a small goal for himself.
"Sophia, Mr. Lancaster is here."
Larry remembered. "He must be here to have lunch with you."
Sophia checked the time and realized it was already noon.
Larry raised his eyebrows suggestively. "Sophia, Mr. Lancaster seems to care a lot about you. He's been coming to have lunch with you every day recently."
"You two are so lovey-dovey."
Sophia stood up and gently pushed him away.
"If you want, we can have lunch together. Come on, my treat."
Larry's eyes widened, and he quickly shook his head, "I won't go."
Larry thought, 'I don't want to be a third wheel. And Gabriel is so intimidating.'
Sophia smiled, "Then I'll treat you another day."
"Sure."
Sophia picked up her phone and went out to meet Gabriel, while Larry happily looked at the signed photo, deciding to finish his game before having lunch.
Gabriel's facial injuries had healed, but the fracture still needed more time to recover.
Alex was driving, and Gabriel was waiting outside the car for Sophia.
Sophia had noticed Gabriel's recent attentiveness. He felt guilty for mistaking someone else for her.
To be honest, she was pretty mad and had thought about ignoring Gabriel, but every time he showed up with that apologetic and guilty look, she softened.
"What do you want to eat today?" Gabriel asked after she got in the car.
Sophia replied, "Pizza."
"Alright, Alex."
"Got it!"
"Sophia."
"Yes?"
"Let's take the kids out this weekend."
Before going to Country M, Gabriel had planned to take the kids out, but it had been postponed due to his injury.
Now that he was almost recovered, he really wanted to take the kids out with Sophia and have a good time as a family.
Sophia agreed, "Okay."
She had promised the kids and didn't want to break her word.
Sophia and Gabriel arrived at the pizzeria, only to run into someone they didn't want to see.
"Gabriel."
Tiffany rushed over excitedly.
Gabriel's face darkened.
'Today is really unlucky!' he thought.
