Chapter 510 The Champion

Noah hit the stage and instantly stole the show.

She'd been MIA since the incident, so her sudden appearance at the fashion show had the once-bored reporters buzzing. Flashbulbs were going off like crazy.

Sophia watched from the crowd, thrilled to see Noah owning the spotlight with growing confidence.

Noah stepping in saved Sophia from falling into Patricia's trap.

Noah's outfit, paired with her unique look and vibe, added a special touch to the show.

When it ended, some reporters tried sneaking backstage to find Noah but got stopped by staff.

Sophia rushed backstage to help Noah change. "Thanks for stepping in, Noah. Let me treat you to a meal later."

Noah shrugged. "No need, I just did it on a whim."

She'd come to watch the show but almost got spotted by reporters, so she hid backstage. Hearing Sophia needed a model, she decided to give it a shot.

Since her face got scarred, Noah had lost her confidence. Her agent and company kept pushing her to return to acting, saying makeup could cover the scars, but she couldn't shake the gloom.

Walking the runway, she felt that old camera magic again, like a breeze blowing away her dark clouds.

"Noah, can you sign this for me?" Sophia handed her a photo and a pen.

Noah was surprised. "You're still a fan?"

Sophia smiled. "It's for a friend. He's a huge fan and was worried when you disappeared. He saw the live stream and asked me to tell you that you're his home. No matter where you are, he'll always support and protect you."

Noah was touched.

Avoiding the spotlight hurt her fans the most.

She nodded. "Thanks."

She signed the photo, handed it back, and left.

The screen was still replaying the show, and the judges were scoring.

Half an hour later, the results were in.

Everyone brought their clothes on stage. Those without models used mannequins.

When it was Patricia's turn, she didn't look happy.

She'd planned for Sophia's model to bail for "health reasons" and offered her own model, who would mess up Sophia's outfit. But Noah's arrival ruined everything.

Noah showcased Sophia's design perfectly, earning her extra points.

The audience and judges loved Sophia's design, making Patricia even angrier.

Celeste, also at the show, knew what went down backstage. She admired Patricia's "kindness" in offering her model.

Even though Sophia didn't use Patricia's model, it didn't lessen Patricia's supposed generosity.

Celeste liked Patricia even more.

The top ten were announced, and when it got to the top three, Sophia was on edge.

"Third place, Patricia!"

Sophia's eyes widened. 'Patricia got third? A newbie in design?'

She glanced at the model next to Patricia. The outfit was stunning, but was it really Patricia's design?

Then she noticed Kathy, who only got fifth place. Kathy's skills were way better than that.

Sophia sensed something was off but didn't have time to dwell on it.

Soon, the second and first places were announced.

When the championship trophy landed in Sophia's hands, she was still in shock.

The crowd erupted in applause, and the judges came up for photos with the designers.

The fashion show ended on a high note.

After the photos, Patricia couldn't hide her anger. 'How did Sophia win? She's just too lucky today.'

Patricia's third place didn't feel like a win anymore.

Several students from Fusion Dynamics Corporation placed, boosting the company's reputation.

That evening, Jennifer treated everyone to dinner to celebrate.

Even Celeste, who rarely attended such events, joined the celebration.

Midway through, Sophia went to the restroom, and Patricia followed her.

As they passed the stairs, Patricia grabbed Sophia. "Sophia, don't think winning means you're better than me. I'm the true granddaughter of the Blackwood family, and you're just a nobody."

Sophia frowned, annoyed. "Are you crazy?"

She tried to shake Patricia off, but Patricia grabbed her hand and rolled down the stairs. Sophia instinctively shook her off, and Patricia let go, tumbling down.

"Patricia!" someone shouted.

Sophia's eyes widened as she watched Patricia crash under a table, with Celeste's anxious voice in her ears.

"Mom, don't worry, I'll check on her," Jennifer said, steadying Celeste.

"Sophia, go check!" Jennifer shouted at the stunned Sophia.

Sophia snapped out of it and ran down to check on Patricia.

Patricia was unconscious.

Jennifer helped Celeste down, and Celeste knelt beside Patricia, pushing Sophia away. "Patricia, wake up. Did someone call an ambulance?"

Jennifer pulled out her phone, and a waiter said, "I've already called an ambulance."

Others rushed down from the second floor, gathering around Patricia.

Sophia was pushed out of the crowd.

She stood alone, her mind racing to stay clear-headed.

When Patricia fell, she had tried to pull Sophia down with her. To avoid being dragged down, Sophia had shaken her off.

Celeste and Jennifer had both seen it.

At the hospital, the doctor said Patricia had a mild concussion.

Jennifer told the other students to go home.

When Sophia entered the ward, Celeste's eyes were cold. "Why did you push Patricia?"
