Chapter 392 Rage

Sophia brought a set of Emma's clothes for Josie when she came.

They picked up Josie from the wedding venue without bringing any change of clothes for Josie. Sophia had to buy some temporarily, and they needed to be washed before Josie could wear them.

Her three kids went to kindergarten, and it wasn't good for Josie to stay in the hospital all day, either.

So, after Sophia brought porridge to Caroline, she took Josie to kindergarten, too.

Josie would come back with Emma after school.

Caroline was resting in the hospital, and Sophia went to work.

The busy period had made Sophia lose quite a bit of weight.

"Sophie, we've found the models for this show. Take a look," Larry said, handing over the model profiles.

Sophia flipped through them and said, "Not bad, they're all top domestic models."

She looked up and asked Larry, "Where are your design drafts?"

Larry scratched his head and smiled sheepishly. "Am I really up to this?"

"Of course, let me see them."

Larry couldn't believe that he could become a designer for a high-end luxury brand; he thought he would always be designing for ordinary brands.

After looking through them, Sophia said, "Very good. Hurry up and get the samples made."

"Okay." Encouraged, Larry was instantly full of energy.

In the afternoon, Sophia took Larry out for some errands. Larry went to get the car, and Sophia walked out through the main entrance.

As she walked into the lobby, she heard someone calling her.

Sophia turned around.

Ella's eyes widened in disbelief as she walked over.

"Sophia, it's really you!"

Ella had come to find Gabriel. She didn't fully trust what Ruth had said, so she came to try her luck, hoping to see Gabriel and ask him directly.

She never expected to see Sophia alive with her own eyes.

Ella was deeply shocked.

But she quickly reacted, hugging Sophia with immense excitement.

"Sophie, you're really alive. I thought Ruth was lying to me. This is great; I'm so glad you're alive."

Ella cried out loudly, drawing the attention of everyone around. People started looking over.

Sophia frowned, gripping Ella's shoulders and trying to push her away, but Ella was too strong, and Sophia couldn't budge Ella.

Feeling annoyed, Sophia turned cold. "Let go of me."

Ella seemed not to hear, hugging her and crying as if she had lost a loved one.

People around started whispering. Most of the internal staff recognized Sophia, especially since she had conflicts with Tiffany before.

"If you don't let go, I won't be polite to you!"

Ella released Sophia and wiped her tears.

"Sophie, where have you been all these years? What happened back then? Didn't the doctor say you were dead? We even attended your funeral."

As Ella spoke, she started crying again. "Your grandmother was so worried she fell ill when she heard about your accident."

Mentioning her grandmother brought up complex emotions for Sophia.

When Sophia was young, her grandmother wasn't particularly affectionate but was decent enough. However, at some point, her grandmother changed.

When the Kelly family had an incident, the Brown family was also affected. Funds couldn't be recovered, and payments couldn't be made, causing internal operational difficulties. Her uncle wanted to marry her off to a wealthy old man to resolve the crisis.

Her grandmother didn't stop it and even persuaded her, saying the old man was mature and stable.

At that time, Sophia's parents had passed away one after another. In her grief, the only family she could rely on was the Brown family, but they were utterly heartless.

Fortunately, Ruth appeared and took her back to the Lancaster family, where she became Gabriel's wife.

"Sophie, please go see your grandmother. She really misses you," Ella said, wiping her tears.

Sophia felt a bit moved, but when she remembered how the Brown family had pressured her back then, her feelings quickly vanished.

"Does she really miss me, or does she want something from me again?" Sophia sneered. "I remember you all said that if I didn't agree to marry that old man, you wouldn't consider me family anymore."

"I still haven't married him, so why are you looking for me now?"

Ella's expression changed, and she sighed. "Those were just angry words. It's been so many years; why are you still holding onto that? Sophie, we were all very worried about you after your accident. Come back for a meal sometime."

Sophia didn't want to talk to her anymore. "I have things to do, Mrs. Brown. Please help yourself."

With that, she turned and walked away quickly.

Ella took a few steps to follow but then stopped.

She watched as Sophia got into a car and drove away, her worried expression instantly disappearing; her mood swings were like a rollercoaster.

Walking out of the Lancaster Group, she found a secluded corner and called Patricia.

Patricia was still sleeping and was groggily woken up by the call. Irritated, she answered, "Mom, do you know what time it is?"

Normally, Ella would speak nicely, but now she had no patience to coax Patricia.

"Something serious has happened, Patricia. Sophia is alive!"

"What nonsense are you talking about? What? Is Sophia alive? How can she be alive?" Patricia initially didn't react, then screamed, quickly covering her mouth.

The Blackwood family was still sleeping. Even with good soundproofing, her scream could easily be heard.

Patricia lowered her voice, anxiously asking, "Mom, are you sure?"

"I just saw her. She's changed a lot."

Sophia's aura of professional competence was something Patricia couldn't match.

Patricia felt chaotic and panicked. She had just bonded with the Blackwood family, especially with Celeste Blackwood. She had finally secured her place in the Blackwood family, and now Ella was telling her that Sophia was alive!

"Mom, if she's still alive, what will happen to me? If the Blackwood family finds out, not only might I be in danger, but the entire Brown family won't be able to withstand the Blackwood family's wrath."

In recent days, they had thoroughly unraveled the background of the Blackwood family.

Not only could they not afford to offend them, but the immense wealth was also something they were completely enamored with.

"The Blackwood family is moving back to the country. Mom, you have to find a way to make sure Sophia doesn't come into contact with the Blackwood family."

Ella broke out in a cold sweat, her eyes narrowing with determination.

"Don't worry. I'll handle it. You just focus on being the Blackwood family's heiress."

A knock on the door startled Patricia, her heart pounding.

"Who is it?" she asked.

"Patricia, it's me." Celeste's gentle voice came through.

"Mom, I have to go." Patricia quickly hung up, got out of bed, and opened the door.

Celeste looked at her with concern.

"I heard you shouting just now. Did you have a nightmare?"

Patricia hugged Celeste, feeling aggrieved.

"Celeste, I dreamt that you all didn't want me anymore."

Celeste chuckled and comforted her, "Silly child, why would we not want you? Have you been working too hard lately?"

Patricia shook her head, feeling even more aggrieved.

The sky in Country M was about to brighten, and Celeste stayed in Patricia's room to comfort her.

In Country Z, Sophia received a call from Emma.

"Mommy, Josie has been taken away."
